Absolutely ridiculous that we’re letting our transfer business come down to the last week of the window, serious questions need to be asked of the recruitment team. Seems like we struggle to get rid of players and also sign players now.
I appreciate trippier but hes obviously engineering a move away from the club behind Eddie's back. Howe said hes a step away regarding transfer negotiations etc, obviously hes not going to be involved in all that stuff, why would he?
Did you actually attend the press conference? You've got the wrong end of the stick as per usual, or are you just trying to cause trouble? I'm involved in the selection of the players and that is a painstaking process. It's in depth. A lot of time is spent trying to identify the right targets. Then, of course, when it comes to the negotiations and the deals, naturally, that's not my place.
EH is involved in the transfers, just not the negotiations, you've ignored what he's said as it doesn't assist your papers' agenda of stirring things up for clicks.
The fact we have these 2 games plus the remaining week or so of the transfer window, the situation re Guehi, Schar suspension = pressure from multiple directions. Whatever happens it isn't going to be "pivotal" for the season. Getting enough points to get into Europe is pivotal and there are plenty to be had after 1st September
Fingers crossed. He's just awful in the transfer market and wastes millions on average British players. Apart from Schar, Guimaraes, Almiron, Joelinton, Isak, Dubravka and Tonali, we have a Championship squad
@@juliogeordio7358 I reckon he'll be sacked in a few weeks. He's a Championship manager and needs to be managing in a league with predominantly British players
……unless Howe’s final say on transfers has already happened and now it’s down to Mitchell to get those players in? Howe might say who he wants but then isn’t involved in negotiating deals. He’s never said he’s involved in getting the deals over the line.
How on earth our owners will tolerate what looks like a shambles of a last three months I have no idea. The buck stops with Darren Eales and he should fear for his position if it plays out the way it’s looking
Look at who persuaded Trippier to sign for NUFC, are they still at the club? Also have promises made been kept etc, also the head coach not being the first to made aware of significant events is not healthy.
The Head Coach set up is the model that was imposed on Keegan, with Denis Wise taking over transfers. Keegan was right to be angry, and here we see the same problems occurring with Eddie Howe being left in the dark on what is happennig with his players. Football has become so corporate and political. Ultimately, it's us fans who suffer whilst paying hard earned money
Modern managers cannot cope with the stuff going on these days. The manager cannot do it all. Howe will not find an elite club where he is allowed to do everything himself. He also suffered from burn out towards the end of time at Bournemouth.
starting to feel that all ain't what its cracked up to be. wasting time on a cb who is hardly virgil standard, still need to strengthen in others areas. does not look like a club trying to win things or they would be improving the first team.
Howes worries about the new appointments appear justified. How on earth are we approaching our second game of the new season and we still have not sorted our business. It’s unbelievable. Even more so with Howe not knowing what is going on. Amateur night
So many fiasco’s at the Toon this summer. Losing Amanda & Mehrdad. Losing Anderson & Minteh. The whole Guehi saga and now the Trippier issue. Something is just not right
He has mate. If you listen to the whole conference, he states that he plays a big part in identifying the players he wants, then the negotiation side he is removed from. It's not a big deal...clickbait
I said two weeks ago we should walk away from this Palace Saga. Mitchell needs to be pulled in for the pathetic performance he has shown. We are the laughing stock and need to go full steam ahead to get a CB and winger from elsewhere than p:ss about with C Palace.

Howe out
He said he was removed from the negotiations which is correct.
You can feel it in the air, we are on the precipice of a Newcastle crisis just around the corner with everything going on to create a perfect storm!
Definitely
What spoilt brat grown men ready to stamp feet and throw toys out of the pram if they don't get what they want 👍👍
Paranoia, relax.

Exactly, it's not part of his job to be involved in negotiations. He should be solely focused on preparing the team for Sunday

Did you miss the part where Eddie Howe stated that this was the "most difficult window of his career".

@@leejonesAngling No he was referring to transfers and the Kieran Trippier situation.

@@DanielCordone9 You mean Howe's signings like Bruno, Isak, Batman, and Tonali? Stop trolling.

Well put
@TheDefJamm totally correct 👌
For me it doesn’t feel good at present. We seem a shambles in the transfer window

James Trafford, Marc Guehi and Joe Gomez in for £150m
