This reminds me of the Pacific theater during WWII. One side’s culture steeped in honor and tradition and the other side relatively new and massively pissed off.
For all of the guys asking what was the 12th fleets. I believe it was a nightmare fleet. The only one that they would be able to defeat born from their own imagination and despair

Revelation 12:12 is about how the devil will bring great wrath upon the earth because he knows he doesn’t have much time. It was with that in mind, following the ending, that made me think it was quoting revelation
