Nice informative video Glenn I noticed when I was buying jets you have to use one co. Jets because a 69 jet from one co. Is not the same as another so what I did is I purchased some jets noticed what I was talking about earlier so I purchased a jeweler's micro drill bits and found what size the nt speed carburetor jet was and your right 70 which gave me a base line and I just solder the end of the jet with a thin layer and drill it out to the size I need the jet size that works good here in Texas is a 71 works great stay safe and keep them videos coming brother
@Mike miller thanks for the info about different sized jets from different companies as I hadn't ran into that issue yet.The jewlers drill bits are an excellent way to custom tune your carb my buddy James had to do that to tune a big carb once and works great. As always I appreciate your time brother and thanks very much for watching ✌️
@AlexVasike-uq2qb the threads are 5mm the 65 is the number of the jet When u buy jets they're numbered I don't think they're the actual inside diameter
@@glenssmallenginecreations did it made the idle leaner ? Cause my bike start when cold only with choke after putting the c clip at the leaner position
It idles fine when its warmed up.i never let any of my bike's idle for long without a quick twist on the throttle for lubrication. Plug color is brown In the center so everything looks good so far
@AlexVasile-uq2qb they may look the same but they might not fit. The nt carbs have a 5mm thread.i bought mine from Amazon I searched for main jet for nt speed carb 5mm thread. The kit I bought was jet sizes 65-70.there are a large variety of jets on the market that look the same but threads and the top of the jets are slightly different. If the top of jet is taller than the original, the jet will bottom out on the bowl of the carb not allowing fuel to be sucked up through the jet.this video is an older video and I no longer have the Amazon account or I would be happy to send you a link for the jets I bought. Its confusing buying these jets as there is so many different kinds on the market making it a crap shoot when buying them.its almost a trial and error type scenario luckily they're cheap.hope this helps somewhat ✌️
@@glenssmallenginecreations Hey glen , I just subscribed to you yesterday, I’m definitely enjoying your content . So I bought a bbr kit from bike Berry , a angle fire to be exact, anyway I went to change the jet and noticed the jet I ordered (also from bike berry) looked a lot smaller , watching your video, you say it will still fit. My question is does that apply to my kit/ carb as well? It’s a stock Nt carb
@@lorilouden6799 HI Lori and thanksfor the sub! The thread size is the size I was mentioning in the video I believe it to be 5mm.if the threads on your new jets are 5mm then they should work fine in your carb.there are many, many different size main jets out there so it's easy to get the wrong one's. I'm not able to sign into my Amazon account at the moment or I would gladly leave a link but that's where I bought mine. Hope this helps and good luck with your carb.thanks again for watching ✌
@audie allen the best way to know for sure is to check your spark plug.Rich condition will make the end of the plug dark black and lean will turn it white or light gray you want the plug to be a milk chocolate color in the center
