I LOVE THESE VIDEOS! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I'm just starting to learn how to grow trees, my goal this year is to plant a few hundred... I'm renting, but want to give them away. Quick question if I may.. once you have them in the seed trays, what environment do you keep them in over winter? Are they in a greenhouse or out in the open? Thanks again! You are doing AMAZING work!

Howdy. I have a bench I built, facing North and covered with some old semi-translucent glass fibre roof sheeting. It catches some sun in the winter and protects from most of the wind. If you send your email, I could send you some pics. Cheers Max

Excellent video thanks. But when you've planted the seeds, are you putting the trays in a greenhouse, in a covered environment, directly outside in the sun?

Howdy. Because i plant seed around April and coming into autumn, i have a bench setup covered with clear poly sheets. This protects from wind and allows warming winter sun. Germination is pretty quick, (from about 10 days) and i prick them out and put into pots around September. Ill include a shot of the setup soon.

Howdy. Do you mean transplanting from pot to bigger pot, Pot into the ground or from in the ground to another site in the ground? Cheers Max

    What percentage ended up germinating?

Howdy. Because I select the firm ripe seed the germination rate is very high, I'd say around 90% I did have some losses after germination due to some very warm weather and my poor watering at one stage. Some plants were a bit weak so I only potted up the ones that seemed best. Thanks for your interest
