Craziest thing was watching them play Mike over their TV when I was there about 2 weeks ago. Now I’m sitting at home watching him eat those same delicious pancakes I had stuffed in my mouth.
I love your comments on every dish you’re eating. Your enthusiasm is inspiring. I catch myself salivating when I watch you. Ignore the naysayers! Keep up the good work!!
😮Elena's is pretty good for Filipino food, I've eaten there several times. The shrimp sarciado is the bomb. But you need to try Thelma's which is also in Waipahu. I love Thelma's special, which is lechon with tomato and onion (the original). Also you're right, Filipino food needs to be eaten with rice. I can eat up to 3 bowls of rice when eating a tableful of Filipino dishes.
Glad to see you back in the Islands bradah!...Brah you hit all my go to foodie spots. Blows me away how you're able to polish off all those dishes in one sitting?...Always enjoy your post brah!...Aloha Bunches!
Menya is good because of the big pieces of kakuni, but taste wise I still choose Wagaya Ramen. Especially with a large menu of delicious sides and other ramen as well.
another reason why Hawaii feels like home. It would be cool if you linked up with a local and camp on the beach and do catch and cook. some ppl camp out for a week and enjoy the land. thats why theres lots of lifted tacomas so ppl can access the beach.
Try the Armenian food 😊 Its so ❤warming & don't assume about the red seasoning that is used being a chili..... you'll be surprised by the taste of sumac.
I like how he's trying to set a mood and you all are disrespecting it. If this music disturbs you so much I offer this advice don't go to Hawaii you'll be severely pissed off
The char siu slices from menya are not that big. They cut larger slices for Mikey Chen. Prob because they know he runs a big time foodie channel so they are trying to impress.
Neither. Cha Shao is Mandarin (the way Mikey pronounces it), the Japanese would have it Cha Shu, and the Cantonese have it Char Siu (not Char Sui, as you've put iti).
I feel that Filipino food will have a huge impact in the culinary scene in the near future. It's about time that Filipino food gets the spotlight and as more talented Filipino chefs get to show their skills and bring the culture to the mainstream.

Run 🏃♀️ don’t walk or you’ll be missing out🩵♥️🧡
Thelma’s > Elena’s
Guibe cafe is one of my fave diners on Oahu. And I agree with the prime rib loco moco being winnahs
I am slowly working my way down Guieb's menu. Sooooo gooood!
Poke for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday. Yessssssaaaahhh!

Thank you so much Mike!! I will go to these places when I get there in Hawaii ❤
It's those little out of the way places that look like dressed up garages, those are the REAL food heavens.
I'm back! just impressed how you put all that goodness away!

♥️♥️♥️ Filipino food!!!!
What a coincidence, the last time I was in in Hawaii and I was at the beach, some how my clothes just fell into the ocean and got all wet too.
Dont lie
I’m impressed they didn’t melt the styrofoam in the first dish.
i thought the same thing. perhaps it was paper.
It's not like they went to town with that blow torch...lol...c'mon people....
It's paper. Styrofoam containers are banned here in Hawaii.
Menya is good because of the big pieces of kakuni, but taste wise I still choose Wagaya Ramen. Especially with a large menu of delicious sides and other ramen as well.
I feel like every time I’m about to go to Hawaii you have just been lol
That poke looked soooo good 🤤
The prime rib loco moco at some ABC stores especially the one in Wailea “Island Gourmet” is 🔥 but that one looks mops too
That prime rib dish looked great

You def got some charred styrofoam when the blow torch hit that . 😂
its paper or compostable- styrofoam containers are banned here
😂😂
Gotta get those extra carcinogens 😆
@GregDalin yup paper by the looks of it 😊 wish they did that here
So basically everything is "so much Umami"?
yes
I'm white so I call everything spicy
You should have gone to Guieb in Wahiawa. It's bigger and looks nicer than the one you went to. 😅
come to Manila and eat some original Poke 🤭it's really yummy believe me
puuuuureeeeeeeee flavooorrrrrrr
I hope you mixed that halo-halo after you stopped filming, lol
Please show more good eats in Hawaii
Hey Mike. That rice took the cake.. Absolutely moist and fried perfectly. The pancakes looked very fulfilling. Emy!! 🐞🤗
Wtf
@@Miserablefatguy wtf what?
I love your channel, Strictly Dumpling is your handle. You make food look so yummy, i watch you while i fill my tummy. Love you Mikey.
Hi Mike Chen. I have been a fan since your channel Beyond Science.
You should try sushi tacos at T8ste Buds in Waianae sooo good
Dont be cutting out scenes when chopping through pancakes mikey! We measure density that way!
Suprised you don't have gout!
That's huge steak looks delicious
Love that you love food. 🙏
I'll be in oahu starting Sunday glad I caught this one
Damn that's awesome! Food looks amazing!! 🇵🇭❤️🇵🇭❤️🇵🇭❤️
I love Filipino food 😋
I think it’s one of the worst Asian foods.
@@roan6125 I think it's one of the most underrated.

Squid Adobo is bomb, especially with more vinegar flavor. Check it
I LOVE POKE
Wanted to ask you something. What is the best way to get Intouch with you. Thanks!
as a filipino i also love poke very much
sarap. lalo na yung hindi hinugasan
Cool. As long as you flips do not sing. Please
ibang poke ata yan ibig sabihin mo pre
@@NotLookinGood isa lang naman ang poke sa pinas e
Adobo is similar to chinese dish🎉❤
The chili Peppah wattah 😂
Another good vid… I agree, could do without the background music 🎶
eating yummy food for a living dammit im jelly
idk.. i don't think the editing in the beginning part of this fits mike's style really well and the musik was too loud for me..
Try the Armenian food 😊

LOWKEY flexing the iphone box that was just bought
Umami 1:18 !
He shhhhh so much when he talks 🤫🤫🤫
The prime rib looked terrific, but I prefer to just use salt and creamed horseradish. I’m
not so sure about gravy over this type of meat.
soft shelled shrimp mmmmmmm
Love your content Mike! You're the Best ❤❤❤
Mikey, why is the background music is Mexican?
i'll never be able to get a table at Menya now...
yuessahh Hawaiiiiii
I'm Pinoy, but the only Pinoy food I eat is Bud Bud. My parents would make it in their house in the 1980s.
Sweet purple rice i grew up on. Steamed in banana leaf. My Grandma made it all the time. Love her "puto" too.
Filipino food really hits the spot.
Bro turn the background kiddie game sound effects off , the music is so loud we can barely hear you over it .
Probably to cover the background music to avoid a copyright strike. At least that's my guess.
It was just the first segment and I heard him well. His content is incredible..
I was gonna say that he is trying hard to be someone else. That sound is anoyying when he never used it before
Ditto.
I like how he's trying to set a mood and you all are disrespecting it. If this music disturbs you so much I offer this advice don't go to Hawaii you'll be severely pissed off
Looking good bro 😊
The char siu slices from menya are not that big. They cut larger slices for Mikey Chen. Prob because they know he runs a big time foodie channel so they are trying to impress.
Poks in Tagalog means, please?
“Oh this is THIICCC” 💀
Bro come to big island
What's with all the background music? It's horrible.
The lechon looks more like sisig
Soooo when did he change his name from the dumpling thing lol
Did he get a new editor because….
Is it “cha shah? Like cha cha. Or is it char sui?
Char sui.
Neither. Cha Shao is Mandarin (the way Mikey pronounces it), the Japanese would have it Cha Shu, and the Cantonese have it Char Siu (not Char Sui, as you've put iti).

I love all you're Channels Mike - Keep up the great work! I'll be watching.

I don't think I've ever seen you eat a salad, i could be wrong
What is Uba?..not spelled right I'm sure. And what is Adobo?
Ube is a sweet , purple potato. Adobo is pickled pork
@@cellesteh4510ube is not a purple sweet potato or taro. ube is ube.
Hawai: This dish is called Poke
Philippines: Why?
Hawaii: it's made out of fish
Philippines:😛 🥵👅🫦
He should take off the Comments section. All y'all do is complain.
that's the fun of it......the solution is simple don't go to the comment section EZ
