In almost every, maybe literally every, country that's not in North America, tax is included in the price that you see. Such that customers can actually know what they'll pay, pretty useful feature ;-)
Same goes for india(tax included)
Shh, don't tell them :P
@Lick On my oh no maths! noooo!
@Lick On my oh man, guess having to calculate the taxes in our heads makes us less intelligent and inferior, oh forgive us master foreigner
@Lick On my but I cannot lie, them not including taxes on price kinda sucks in the US
I think only American shops are afraid to show the actual price, in Europe at least, when something is priced 500 euros it actually will costs you 500 euros.
same in australia.
It's because tax varies by state, so they can't know how much it is going to cost for every customer because their are like 50 different prices.
@@whit882 Would it not make more sense to pay the tax in the state you are in buying the item?
@@whit882 websites can see your IP, so they can also know what state you're connecting from, and just calculate the tax based on location
@@Syntax.error. It's because tax can vary by county as well, so even going by state rates isn't reliable.
Romanian internet might be cheap, but it means little when the prices of food and rent already take up 120% of your monthly salary.
You just basically described 80% of the balkans right there
must be rough over there
@@BlueCatIV ooo yeah it is
@@BlueCatIV It's not rough at all, as long as you don't work minimum wage. A lot of romanians unfortunately have to work minimum wage, which is just as hard as working minimum wage in the US or any other country. But if you earn an average salary or a high one(doctors, engineers, programmers) you can make a very good living here. Everything's cheap, including internet and you can afford to rent a place and also put some money away for vacations or emergency expenses. Also healthcare and college is either very cheap or free here, so you don't have to worry about being in debt.
Priorities right?! I used to live in an apartment downtown that I could barely afford but it had "free" fiber lol.
We need a part 2 with more sites covered.
Keep in mind all European prices (not sure outside of Europe) _include_ tax in the price.
That's 1 thing I don't understand about the US and Canada. They add the tax on after, i want to go shopping not do maths on the fly
@@Gooner333333333 They are used to math with pounds, inches, miles etc... They don't like the easy way with numbers :D
@@Gooner333333333 VAT in the US differs from state to state (province to province), so it's easier to add after the fact, whereas in Europe, VAT differs from country to country.
Pricing - at least pre-tax - in the US and Europe isn't all that far apart once conversion rates are accounted for, but post-tax, tech is usually more expensive in Europe. (though by the time you've imported stuff from the US, you'll be likely to have paid more in shipping and customs fees lol).
@@Gooner333333333 it’s because they don’t want us to know taxes are getting higher 🤣
@@xingbairong we mix it up in the UK, we weigh ourselves in Stone & pounds, but weigh everything else in KG, we measure large distance in miles & short distance in either inches or centimetres, sometimes both, we price our fuel by the litre but measure fuel economy to the gallon, but not a US gallon, a UK gallon... but we don't have a fookin clue what the difference is, if you go into a store having a sale, you'll see different items discounted in both percentage & fractions, often right next to each other... So yeah... 🧐
yes the pricing on that Indian website includes taxes. in fact, almost all retailers do.
lmao who recommended elitehubs to dawid xD?

Not sure about Denmark, but tax is included on everthing in the UK
Yes, tax is included in Denmark too.
I believe it's included for all of EU since taxes are paid on import. That said there could be extra local taxes that might have effect in different countries, but yeah overall all EU prices start roughly 20% higher than US.
Tax is added
@@xingbairong that's probably due to the 20% sales tax (VAT) that we include in the price told to the customer...
I think the most important thing in all countrys, is the minimum salary, in brasil for example, the minimum is 1100 reais, to buy a pc who cost 8800 reais, you will need to work for 8 months without expending anythin, i think lot of the coutry around the world have a same issue, idk in other countrys but in brazil, no one buys pre-built pc's, because they are pretty expensive, usually, you buy some new parts, in pichau, they sell a "upgrade kit" who comes a processor, motherboard and ram, but normally, you be buy in second hand market

I've never built a whole system all at once so I've never had to deal with a complete build price tag. Started with a very modest prebuilt then just did upgrades along the way, case swap and new mb's yes but when your upgrades are spread out over time it tricks your mind in thinking your not spending as much money as you are heh.
Plus while saving for specific parts it gives you time to do tons of research which is quite beneficial, many times that research has helped me make better choices.
So, if your getting a prebuilt I guess just make sure it's pretty upgradable
Definitely enjoyed this kind of video! Love your work man!

@@eduardosantiago6948 to ligado fi, sou brasileiro também né kkkkkkkk
Your minimun salary is 9x lower than in the US
@@albergoni2191 yeah, 1000 reais is around 200 usd. Even though that doesn't always mean much, considering that the minimum wage in the us is around 1000 usd, you can kinda see how things feel over here.
An interesting thing is that the minimum wage in 2020 (if I am not mistaken) was 1045 reais, and our ever loving, beautifull and filled with great people government, seeing all the inflation and difficulty of the majority of the population to survive with this salary, made the wise decision to raise it to 1100 reais. And to top it off, congratulated themselves by adding 5 billion reais to their campaign pool.
Yep, purchasing power is much lower in south american countries
Yeah, because Brazil has huge import taxes on everything.

8gb RAM? Crazy to think that's how much memory I originally had in my core 2 quad QX9650 back in 2008. Admittedly that was waaay overkill back then, but crazy that you can still buy PCs with that amount. I still use that PC too. Its a great PC, although won't do modern AAA games now.

I have never visited a country that doesn't include taxes in the listed price. I only think the US has that funny feature.
Taxes vary from state to state and city to city.
I still think that it's a fraud not to show a full price. Somebody should sue USA.

Very interesting to see offerings and prices in other countries. You might want to consider making this a regular feature as I don't think any other techtubers are doing it.
In my country Singapore, there is this company called Aftershock. It is also in Malaysia and Australia. The customer service is amazing and cable management is also good. For now pricing is not that good but it’s very customisable. Lots of options as for prebuilts.
I am from India and that price for 5600x and 3060 is actually too good (yes, it includes taxes) to be true because of GST everything from overseas is super costly here
I got my pc directly from pcspecialist, I chose the parts and it came in around 2 weeks. The pc was well built, great cable management and came completely flawless, with expanding foam in the middle. And most importantly,
It had dual channel ram ;)
@@Aa-wq3ef well, I chose the components in it, but they did build it for me.
I just got a custom build from PC Specialist. Overall good, with some good and bad points. I selected the option to provide my own video card (few builders offer this option, which is a missed opportunity in the current market). Cables were managed well, although one of the chassis fans was connected to the AIO Pump header. They did run PCIe power cables in though, I was expecting to have to install that myself. I selected no OS, but they left the Windows OS they use for burn in installed with a background explaining if I wanted to use Windows Home I could activate it, moved my license over from old PC with no issues (it seems completely unmodified, presumably they keep their burn in tools on external media). XMP was set up correctly. At the time of purchase I calculated the cost to self build at around £30 ($50USD) cheaper. Not worth the hastle of self building IMO. I opted for one of their own branded CPU coolers and even during gaming, its inaudible from under the desk. During an Aida64 stress test, the 11600KF reaches 46c on the package and 57 on the highest core. This is with the "180W TDP" option, at £13 more than their 125W TDP option, I thought why not. I hope sharing this experience of them can help others.
Great idea for a video, like to see more chap, well done 👍👌
that was fun ! PART 2 please 😁
On the EU the VAT tax is included in the final price by law.
Yes, for stores mainly selling to the general public. If your googling happens to take you to a store specialising in B2B trade, you will either see everything with 0% VAT or you might get an option to either include the tax or exclude it. After all, business expenses/investments aren't taxed (or the taxes can be deducted).
Ironically, PC World is among the worst places to buy a PC in the UK!
Oh I dunno, probably THE worst.
I was gonna say this, I would never buy from Curry's/PCworld. They are overpriced and try to force their warranty on you at every opportunity.

PC Specialist are my preferred goto company for pre-built systems now, having tried most other companies over many years. I still prefer to build my own system for myself, friends and family but with availability of graphics cards over the last few years that hasn't always been an option. So far PC Specialist haven't let me down, and if you order through their own website rather than via Currys/PC World you can customise the system to your needs. They also seem well built too, all standard brand name parts so easy to upgrade yourself. The prices quoted for any of those companies in the EU also generally include tax, none of this uncivilised nonsense from over the pond of having to guess or grab a calculator to work out the actual price :)
The stuff they sell through Curry's isn't as good. You can tell by lack of exact info on PSU, ram, motherboard, drive and other components that is how they get their profit. If there is an issue I am not sure if Curry's fix the fault and not PC Specialist. This I wouldn't like at all having had dealings with their customer service in the past.
Scan, Novatech and Chillblast also do some good prebuilt or customised systems. I am still weighing up which one to use at the moment.
please do more videos like this one
Great video, do more. Something a lot of folks don't know: I've lived around the world and can tell you, for even pre-Covid days, outside the USA it's more expensive relative to what you're getting than inside the USA. Not just the UK/EU but Asia and South America. And another thing: in tiny countries and in southeast Asia countries, the rejected products (not just PCs but everything, including household appliances and cars) that would not make it into the USA because of some small or large problem get reduced in price and re-sold to the locals. Fact. A lot of people don't realize this because they don't travel and live outside their home country as much as I do.
