Our second day of our Kinabatangan River tour. We were incredibly lucky and saw pygmy elephants AGAIN, this time one was crossing the river and using its trunk to snorkel! Of course, we also saw some macaques and loads of beautiful proboscis monkeys! On top of this we also saw another crocodile!

the closest ive been to kinabatangan river is our drive to sandakan from kota kinabalu to visit some relatives. im a local who’s watching this like it’s something very foreign to me. mad respect and adoration for all the people across the globe who came so far to experience it!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the Kinabatangan river. I get sad when I see it because the water was once very clear during my great-grandfather's time, before the oil palm plantation waste and deforestation happened. In old photographs the canopy is twice as dense and much higher.
We loved it! Oh I didn't realise - just thought it was a muddy river! Such a shame so much of it has gone now.
Great video again from you. You guys have a great positive attitude, and get so much more out of things due to that. I'm happy you enjoy visiting Malaysia - we are really quite proud of the country, and its nice to hear feedback from visitors such as yourself. Hope you come over and visit us again.

Great vlog and tq for visiting borneo..sadly u didnt c any orang utans but still a must have to visit the SEPILOK orang utan santuary n so lucky to c the famous endemic pigmy elephant along the river banks..next time when u visit the river again try the night cruise..the experiance is way more different from the morning n afternoon cruise..
We saw one in the distance that you may see in the next vlog when I finish editing it and get it uploaded! The night cruise sounds awesome and I'd sure love to try it some day!

we even saw orangutangs twice whilst staying at the bank of the kinabutang river!

I wish we could have gone there but time didn't allow us to (and it was so expensive to climb Mt Kinabalu!) next up is a couple more days in Sandakan and then saying goodbye to Borneo from Kuching before continuing our trip! Wow, kinabangtan river cruise looks amazing...capturing the pigmi climbing on to the shore is amazing. So was the monkey and crocodile. The water looks so yellow red may be because of monsoon rains? Hope the crocs don't come to the shore.
It really is! Possibly because of the rains although some people seem to believe it could be pollution too. I think the crocs do but we stayed clear of them 😂

Kinabatangan was a biggest river in sabah but carefull with crocodiles . Im recommended u to go to maliau basin at sepulut near tawau. It has beautiful view and u can also see raflesia flower and elephant. If u going there please make vlog i will waiting.

It’ll be cool if you come to Sabah again and visit Kundasang and Ranau! We have Dairy Farm, Bunny Village, Cat Village, National Park and Hot Spring over here! If you have more time to explore Sabah, try and climb Mount Kinabalu! Love all ur vlogs! In Kota Belud (2 hours from Ranau) have View Camp Sites. I would recommend Polumpung Melangkap View Camp Site & from there you can see a view of Mount Kinabalu!

Hey Loz, nice video. Your footage while on the boatride seems to be very stable, may i know what's the camera you use, and do you use any gimbal or stabilizer?
Hey Wilson! I used the Canon SX740 for all of the shots with a longer zoom and otherwise my Sony RX100 - V. No gimbal or stabiliser, all handheld! Hope that helps!

Very beautiful sunrise there on the east side of sabah, meanwhile I live on west sabah couldn't experience clear view of sunrise but we got beautiful sunset here, if you interested in river scenery you can come to Beaufort and take a Klias River Wildlife River Cruise package
