No one will ever understand his emotions unless they have experienced Malaysia personally. The warmth, love, and beauty of its people and the country is uncomparable ❤❤❤ Malaysia will forever be cemented in my heart and thoughts. ❤❤❤❤❤
That is what Kelantanese all about. Food is their language. Im not a Kelantanese but whenever i go there, they always say... "makey nasi luu* (come eat some rice first). Very very typical Kelantanese.
Proud Kelantanese here 😊 currently living abroad and we have been missing our hometown dearly 😢 by watching videos like this really made my day ❤terimo kasih banyok
I'm Australian but have lived in Indonesia for Nye on 30 years. I always love my trips to Malaysia. The Malays are so proud when I speak to them in Malay. Generally the people, food and transportation in Malaysia are great. Whilst nowhere is perfect, I'm glad you are showing the nicer side of SE Asia.
It's sad to know some foreigners still feeling shade about Malaysia but thanks to you for showing how warmth and friendly exquisite Malaysia country is ♥
One of the best ways to experience the local culture is to speak with the people, in this case the kids who will definitely benefit from these conversations outside the classroom. We had a similar encounter in Kantang town, Trang, Southern Thailand 🇹🇭 these kids are so amazingly curious and spoke with us with open hearts 💕 It made our trip even more memorable than it already was. 🙏
i'm more surprised at those kids at 8:45 who actually took out their phone, probably translated something in English and proceeded to talk to you. sooo cute

I remembered when I was traveling solo to Italy, I shed few tears cos the people there was so cold & grumpy especially the cashier at the train station & cafe 😆. At that point I instantly miss the smiley faces & friendliness of people back in my home country malaysia.
I understand your feeling.. overseas travels are great, but as you as landed back home you instantly become emotional. There's truly no place like home.
Yes, sadly you don't get the same reception in other countries that you would in Malaysia. We have experienced the same in various other countries. That is why we were so overwhelmed by our experience here!
I have a totally different experience back then in Italy, they were really passionate and friendly toward us malaysian, there was this old couple held my hamds and kept talking in italian excitedly but I was desperate because I dont understand at all😂 wherever we went they were so happy when they know we r malaysian. Finally I found out that there was malaysian actor in italy for quite long time permamently, italian so love him/her, so.they loved malaysian too. cute italians to me🥰
For tourists who have never enjoyed Malaysian tourism products, consider Malaysia as a transit only, but the fact is that Malaysia's tourism products are world-class. You certainly agree with me.. ✌✌😊

I am a Malaysian and has never before taken the jungle train. Your video has given me the motivation to do so. Thank you for your video and for promoting Malaysia to other travelers
Hi Suraya, we are so happy to hear that we gave you the idea to try the jungle train, it is a lot of fun. We think Malaysia is a fantastic place to visit and hope that more people discover this (but not too many!).
Malaysians are shy but friendly. If foreigners take the 1st step to chat with them, they will feel very honoured and happy. So, congratulations and kudos for you accepting their offer of food and chatting with the childrens.
@@stmpo5595 we use to treat anybody the same not by their skin colours or country of origin. But sad to say sometimes people from poor country or less develope country their mentality is alittle bit different and they show bad manners to us which will make we malaysian cant adapt with their characters. That is what is happening in malaysia right now which cause alot of crime cases from them in our community
@@mokhtarmustaffa2363 your comment confirms the negative perception of Malaysians towards foreigners of poorer countries. There is no statistics to prove that high crime rate caused by foreigners in Malaysia.
@@stmpo5595 Of course there is statistic involving foreigners in Malaysia, mostly foreign workers which constitute 7% of Malaysian population and 1/3 are from Indonesia and the rest from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnamese, Cambodian and the Philippines. In term of expats who are professional only constitute 1% of Malaysian population. The crimes involved between foreign workers themselves, between foreign workers and Malaysians. Based on statistic by the Malaysian Home Ministry in 2020, 3.8 crimes per 1000 population committed by foreigners in Malaysia, meanwhile by Malaysians 5.3 per 1000 population. The ratio basis, of course Malaysian commit more crimes than foreigners but the crimes commit by foreigners also substantial since Malaysia receiving foreign workers since 1970s and 1980s to develop the country. That's also included illegal immigrants and the foreigners who misused their visas to stay in Malaysia for illegal works eg. scammer, prostitute, money laundering etc which included from Central Asian countries, Eastern European countries, African countries and other neighbouring countries and China.
I can confirm the jungle railway line is top notch. On time and great modern trains. I'm currently in Gua Musang. I came for a couple of days but ended up staying for a week. Cool town with friendly locals.
Malaysian Kelantanese here, thanks for sharing your warmth and kind words about us. Please come again. Your hospitality is our responsibility and kindness is our culture
The Malays village folks are always kind, humble and generous. It is also our culture when we eat, we would always invite the person next to us to eat along. That's why they (the commuters) shared their fish satays with you. Like you said, food is our love language.
Malaysia is suitable for family travels, couples who enjoy culture, nature, shopping, just exploring... a little of everything. We're not perfect but we're just right. Try everything you can eat, explore every road and state. Its truly an experience.

The Kelantan - Gemas train (once called The Wau Bulan Express) was momentarily halted it operations for a few years due to Covid (i guess) and the company (KTMB) not making much money out of it. It's good to see you promoting it and on behalf of all my Kelantanese fellow, I would like to say Thank you and Mari Sokmo Deh (pls always come visit).
Happy to know that you are happy travelling in Malaysia ... we may not be the most developed neither the best country in the world but we are so proud to have people from other parts of the world to visit our beloved country, Malaysia .. we love Australia too .. take care and stay safe always 💕🐈🐈⬛💕

Sama-sama! Kami berpendapat Malaysia amat dipandang rendah dan patut mendapat lebih ramai pelawat. Namun, kami juga tidak mahu ia dirosakkan oleh terlalu banyak pelancongan!
Most of the train passengers you met along the journey are daily commuters. They normally use train to go to work, school or even to the market for groceries because in that part of Kelantan, travelling by road is more expensive and takes longer time.

We LOVED our time in KL and Penang - the people were lovely. We hope to go back. The train looks so much like our trains here in TW but with upgrades, like the dining car and foot rests. ~JB

Dabong is a popular destination for our locals. It has amazing scenery (like waterfaĺ, caves, etc) and local delicacies at some of the well-known food outlets for tourists who visit the area. The locals call this holiday package "Train to Dabong".
Hi Yasmin, that makes sense given how many people got off at Dabong! We really enjoyed our time there and will be releasing a video about our Dabong experience this Sunday!
I discovered your vlog thanks to a review of your video made by an Indonesian RUclipsr. Your sincere observations about the warmth of Malaysians you've met in your vlog moved me. Simply put, it makes me think of how we were always taught in school to respect and be courteous to visitors, especially when they were travelling to and through our country. I find it encouraging that young people today continue to follow good educational practises, not out of a need to impress others but rather out of a genuine desire to treat those who have already decided to visit our country with respect. We value your kind words about us and wish you continued success in your explorations of our countryside.
Hi Noordin, welcome to our channel! Yes we watched that last night too! It is really special how Malaysians treat visitors and sadly not as common in other countries as you would hope. Australians are nice however keep to themselves, so visitors wouldn't typically get the same experience, especially in our hometown of Sydney.
@@BucketListTravellers - I'm delighted you came across kind people while visiting our country. To be fair, people in various areas and communities may have varying attitudes. I used to think that Malaysians were generally pretty reticent individuals. It's not that they are unfriendly; rather, they're attempting to avoid coming across as overly cordial, which would unnecessarily raise suspicion. Therefore, they prefer to wait to be approached before becoming friendly to others. Since I always receive special consideration everywhere I go as a disabled person, I don't truly know how kind Malaysians are. I believed it to be more of a privilege than an act of friendliness on their part. However, many of the vlogs I watched shared the same experience, the friendliness of Malaysians, and some even expressed disbelief when they learned that a stranger who they didn't even know had already paid for their food. I simply hope that my fellow Malaysians will keep up our good deeds without trying to impress anyone else, but rather as a part of our culture that we have cultivated since we were in school to be gracious with our guests and treat them with respect.
Welcome to our country, Malaysia 🇲🇾 That’s the beauty of Malaysia where somewhere else can’t find. I feel warm and welcomed. Thanks for visiting and hope to see more of the content and return to Malaysia in someday. Terima kasih for loving Malaysia 🇲🇾
I'm a Malaysian, born and raised in a modern city. Watching your video travelling to rural area through train makes me contemplate whether to travel to rural area also.

Congrats on 10k subscribers guys! So happy for you all. This was a great video with a lot of great information. I cannot wait to visit. I love how kind and friendly Malaysian people are, they made the entire experience.
Thanks so much guys!!! We are really chuffed and this video response took us by complete surprise! Malaysians are sooo kind and you're right, they completely made the experience. Hi there! So glad you get to take the jungle train. I was born in Temangan, the station before Kuala Krai. There were no roads then and the only way to travel was by train (or walk the jungle trails). It was always special to get to go to Kuala Krai (the big town!!) once every couple of months. The train only ran once a day then (up north toward Tumpat and back south again to Gemas and continuing towards Singapore). Every time we would go to Kuala Krai, we would stay with friends or relatives and come back the next day on the north-bound train. The train looks spiffy now!! The ones that I remember had slatted wooden benches.
Hi Azizan! Wow, there must have been a lot of change over the years in your home village! Yes the train is very spiffy now and we were surprised about how new it was!
I believe you get what you project out to the world. Youguys are so warm and kindhearted, it’s awesome that our fellow locals were able to graciously host you along the way ❤❤❤ P/s: there’s a guesthouse at the foot of gunung stong (Ponik Guesthouse); they are highly recommended. The owner wrote the guide book to gunung stong. His research and blueprint is one of the main reasons why gunung stong obtained its state park status. If you ever find yourself there again, look his guesthouse up; you’ll learn everything about stong and it’s history right from the horse’s mouth.
Thank you for your kind words Zlm Zlm. 🙏🙏 Thanks also for the tip about Ponik guesthouse. We ended up staying at Rose House in Dabong, but were having difficultly trying to find accommodation there, so this tip would have been very handy!

Generally Malaysian are very friendly and generous. We are used to share foods (even pay food for strangers, or overseas guests), and it is our culture to bond with one another through the love of food 😄 I love travelling by train. Have subscribed your channels and will start following both of your videos 👏🏻 Hope you both enjoyed visiting Malaysia ❤ I’m so touched to see you got so emotional. So happy that Malaysian made you happy, and create beautiful memories for both of you ❤
Hi Midnight Summer, welcome to our channel!🤗🤗 As you say, we've had a number of Malaysians pay for our food or surprise us with food along our journey. It was the Malaysian people that made our trip to Malaysia extra special!
New subscriber here..Awesome video 👍..Yes malaysian people are always be shy but when you start talking to them it is like an honour. We always welcome the tourist with warm heart..Enjoy your hospitality in Malaysia 🎉
Hi Guys! Thank you for the reaction, it's awesome. Malaysians of all races are very hospitable people/nitizens and Malaysia is truly ASIA, welcome back and explore more of this beautiful country ❤
That is some gorgeous scenery through the limestone cliffs. You have really traveled off the beaten track compared to most foreign tourists 😀. Western visitors I sense typically travel up and down the west coast of the peninsula (that Langkawi - Penang - Ipoh - KL - Melaka - JB route). As a Malaysian myself I did not realise how much east coast rail infrastructure has improved! Thanks for sharing, it was very enjoyable.
Hi Khai77, it was really beautiful to see the Malaysian jungle go by. Yes, we made a concious decision at the start of our Malaysian adventure to go off the beaten track and in particular explore the east coast of Malaysia. We did all the 'touristy' locations in our first trip to Malaysia 5 years ago. We are so happy we chose this path instead!

Thank you for this video, as a Malaysian I didnt know KTM [Malaysia Railway] has these trips. It looks interesting that make me plan to take a train trip to Kelantan. My last train trip was to Johor Bharu ages ago.
You have just witnessed the beauty of Islam in Malaysia. Many foreigners or shall i say white people are so afraid of Muslims due to the stereotypical towards to Muslim world. Malaysian Muslims are very different from middle eastern Muslims because the people here are well mixed and respect other faiths and beliefs because Malaysia is a multiracial country (Islam is the official religion here) and people live like family despite the difference in our faith. I'm a Catholic Christian and Muslim are like brothers to us here. So experience the beauty of love that you've never felt in other parts of the world. Our love language is Food, culture and respect. That's how we live in a diverse country. Please visit Malacca (Melaka) a historical state in Malaysia rich with cultures and religious influences. God bless you both 😊🇲🇾👍🏾🙏🏾
Hi Ken, we completely agree with you. The western view of Islam has been distorted and if more people visited places like Malaysia they would be better for it. We are also impressed with the religious freedom in Malaysia. We visited Malacca in 2018 and had a great time there.
No words can convey my gratitude for the support visit to Malaysia🇲🇾 that we received from you. Just take my heartiest “Thank you.” Please come to Johor Malaysia 🇲🇾 too for the next journey 🥰
Thank you for your kind words Ungu.🙏 We actually started our Malaysia journey in Johor and loved that state! JB and Kluang were a lot of fun in particular.
Wow as a Malaysian myself, my only experience with the east coast train is the sleeper train 11 years ago from Tanah Merah, Kelantan to Gemas, Negeri Sembilan. Seems like the train service has improved a lot since then. Would love to try this train sometimes soon
Hi THeyNish, we had read up on the junge train and were expecting a much older version, probably the one you experienced. We were really impressed with this one. They might still have the old sleeper train for overnight trips, we just travelled during the day.
awww. glad you guys loved and enjoyed our home. its a question that we always ask in Malaysia "have you eaten"? its something we unintentionally do. for example you meet a friend for maybe a movie or something, we'd ask something like taken breakfast? or had your lunch? honestly i also think that even myself, we have been asked this question or have been asking this question that we have taken it for granted or have overlooked this detail. so its very nice to be able to see you guys enjoying and being touched by it. its very warming. please do come back often!!!
Thanks for loving Malaysia ❤ always welcome to have guests from all around the world to visit and exchange our culture. It's definitely one of the most remarkable and memorable experience you will have here 😊

Aww… don’t cry. Malaysia loves u guys. Next stops- Cameron Highlands and Fraser’s Hill. And it’s gonna be a whole different experience in Borneo Sabah and Sarawak. And it’s great that you guys talk to the locals, coz they can provide the best information on hidden places locals go to. Have fun!!

I watched your vlog, especially this one. When you cried, I choked. I was born in Malaysia, now I am live in the US. I still have my Malaysian behavior toward others in the US. But thats in our Malaysian blood. Enjoy your stay in Malaysia, you will make more friends with the local. Just get to know them more. Be safe.
I would't aspect the reason of tears😢 is becoz of the way of my people are treat both of you. I just tot u had being bullied by some random local guy or something terrible wrong haha silly of me u see. I very glad at the end of the videos both of you had a blast and great adventure at my country. Hopefully will see LOT AND LOT others foreigner come and visit malaysia soon in helping our travel economics. Thanks again for making a nice and good explanation about our lovely public transportation ❤ spread the peace✌️out.
Are you from Australia? Your heartfelt tears kinda make sense since last time I went to Australia for visit the people are cold shouldered. In that instant I miss my fellow countrymen's warmth.
Hi Aimisakee, yes we are from Australia and we know exactly what you mean. One wouldn't get the reception in Australia that we received in Malaysia and, you are right, it w for this reason we were overwhelmed. Out of the 50 countries we have visited, the people of Malaysia are the most kind and welcoming. Thanks for watching!
Reflect: Thanks for your lovely introduction of Malaysia. Indeed Malaysia is a branded country without brand. Meaning that Malaysia is good (branded) but humble (no brand). May God bless all people who really appreciate the inner beauty of Malaysia truly Asia Country. God Is Love!🙏🏻💕🌻🇲🇾🌎💕🌈
Thank you @BucketListTravellers for travelling on our KTM train in Malaysia. Amazing video. You made us proud of our people (and facilities). God Bless.
Wow... Even as a Malaysian I have not traveled the country by train, yet. You guys have just given me an idea of my next thing to do! Thank you and have a great day!
I’m so touched. I’m from Perth and Kuching.. lived in Perth for the majority of my adult life, moved back here because of my childhood memories. Knew about your vlogs through the says article. Thanks. Will explore parts of Malaysia soon.
Thanks for your kind words! We're so glad you found our vlogs through the Says article! Was this a recent article? Can you share it with us please? Malaysia is such a beautiful country with so much to explore. We hope you enjoy rediscovering it.

Hi Anuar, we couldn't agree more with your wise words. This has been our experience as well, not just in Malaysia but in other countries too. It is the people that make the experience special.
Please come back in 2026, East Coast Rail link (ECRL) will be ready by then, You can travel from KL to Wakaf Bharu in 4 hours. As a Kelatanese, l can go back enjoy nasi dagang, nasi lauk, laksam , ayam percik in the afternoon & back to KL in the evening.😋😋😋
You're welcome! Yes, there are so many amazing things to explore in Malaysia, we hope you gt the chance to see more of Malaysia. PJ is a really pretty city, we visited just before we left for Australia and we'll put together a video about it soon!

It was our pleasure!
thank u too!
I was encouraged at a really young age to speak with foreign tourists in English by my late father. Really helped me a lot.

Malaysians are shy but friendly. If foreigners take the 1st step to chat with them, they will feel very honoured and happy.
So, congratulations and kudos for you accepting their offer of food and chatting with the childrens.

Will Malaysians treat foreigners from poorer countries like Myanmar, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Africa same as those from rich countries?
@@stmpo5595 we use to treat anybody the same not by their skin colours or country of origin. But sad to say sometimes people from poor country or less develope country their mentality is alittle bit different and they show bad manners to us which will make we malaysian cant adapt with their characters. @@mokhtarmustaffa2363 your comment confirms the negative perception of Malaysians towards foreigners of poorer countries. There is no statistics to prove that high crime rate caused by foreigners in Malaysia.

Thank you for this video, as a Malaysian I didnt know KTM [Malaysia Railway] has these trips. It looks interesting that make me plan to take a train trip to Kelantan. My last train trip was to Johor Bharu ages ago.
You're welcome Rozai, we are glad to hear that we inspired you to take the trip too!
I'm literally in tears as well when I see him in tears. Thank you for coming to Malaysia and we will always welcome you with arms wide open.
Awwww 🤗🤗🤗. Thank you for your kind words Hamizah.
We are thankful that in Malaysia you have experienced kindness! May God Bless and Keep you safe and sound wherever you are!!
Thank you very much jimchok!🙏
All I can say is Welcome To Malaysia. 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks for promoting our country!
You're welcome Fredmun, thanks for watching!
No words can convey my gratitude for the support visit to Malaysia🇲🇾 that we received from you. Just take my heartiest “Thank you.”
Please come to Johor Malaysia 🇲🇾 too for the next journey 🥰
Thank you for your kind words Ungu.🙏 We actually started our Malaysia journey in Johor and loved that state! JB and Kluang were a lot of fun in particular.
you guys describe the train better than any Malaysian could ever does
Thank you Fred!
Thank you for appreciating the goodness of Malaysians.
It was the least we could do. Thanks for watching!🥰
awww. glad you guys loved and enjoyed our home. its a question that we always ask in Malaysia "have you eaten"? its something we unintentionally do. for example you meet a friend for maybe a movie or something, we'd ask something like taken breakfast? or had your lunch? honestly i also think that even myself, we have been asked this question or have been asking this question that we have taken it for granted or have overlooked this detail. so its very nice to be able to see you guys enjoying and being touched by it. its very warming. please do come back often!!!
We love this, it is speaking our language! We have been touched by Malaysians everywhere we visit. we'll definitely be back!
Thanks for loving Malaysia ❤ always welcome to have guests from all around the world to visit and exchange our culture. It's definitely one of the most remarkable and memorable experience you will have here 😊
You're welcome 2morrow, Malaysia is very easy to fall in love with!🥰🥰
I'm speechless that how so kind you guys and have very heart warming.
Love from Malaysia❤️

God willing within next 3-5 yrs the The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) connecting Port Klang on the Straits of Malacca to Kota Bharu in northeast Peninsular Malaysia, connecting the East Coast Economic Region states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to one another, and to the Central Region of the Peninsular's west coast
That would be awesome. It is such a great way to travel around the country.

Hi Jessica, thanks for your kind words. Yes we agree completely and have been humbled by the warmth of the Malaysian people.

There are a lot more places to visit in Malaysia other than Kelantan state.
We got a bundle of small islands at west cost for camping, island hooping, snorkeling etc🎉🎉
Hi Roszita, yes there is so much of Malaysia to explore! This trip we focused mainly on the east coast as we haven't been there before.
