    @clio2rsminicup 2 года назад +64

    France has always built the best or some of the best tanks in the world.
    1- Nothing incredible, France invented and created the modern tanks.
    Let's stop with this joke of the first tank that of the English in 1916, it was only a cannon mounted on motorized tracks surrounded by iron plates. Besides, the French had the same type of fake-tank before the English in 1915, it is just the old Anglo-Saxon propaganda in the field since 1945 which there also changed the history for its own false benefit (see for example the French fake-tank Schneider CA1).
    The first real tank and ancestor of all current modern tanks is the French tank RENAULT FT17 in 1917.
    The "Tank of Victory", because it is them the Renault FT17 that the French army launched in charges by the hundreds and hundreds from 1917 which will smash the German lines on the western front (the German newspapers of 1918 will even explain the defeat on the Western front because of the "Fear of tanks").
    2- At the beginning of WW2 the best medium and heavy tanks in the world were not German or Russian but French.
    The only technological fault of France, which was too busy with major internal social problems between 1935 and 1938, was to embark too late on preparing for the inevitable war given the aggressiveness of the Nazi and Fascist dictatorships, and at the start of WW2 its front-line tanks were not all equipped with radios.
    But that's not what explains the defeat of the Franco-British in June 1940, but the very poor use of its very good tanks by the French general staff. He grouped them into small units to support the infantry against the huge German tank divisions which, allied with their aviation would allow them their Blitzkrieg.
    It is said in France logically here, that blocked in 1918 when the French Army was the most powerful army in the world at the end of WW1, the French general staff had not been able to evolve and had been a war late at the beginning of WW2...
    And France was not an island like England-UK and did not have time to catch up on its strategic mistakes at the start of WW2.
    But if France had prepared in time and better, and had therefore not lost in June 1940 to fight until 1945, I would have liked to see the French tanks in 1945... They would have been monsters without problems at the level or even better than the German or Russian tanks.
    It is therefore normal that once its freedom was regained in 1945 and its military industry rebuilt a little later, France began again to build very good tanks among the best or even the best in the world. The French have known how to make them for a long time, they are the ones who invented them.

I think in the event of a confrontation with Russia it will not be the French tanks that will be decisive but the french nuke bomb, planes and the tiger attack helicopters since the appearance of attack helicopters in the conflicts havy tanks are obselete, these are only big targets by the time your tank arrives on site the helicopters will have finished destroying at long distance all the opposing tanks welcome to the 21st century, if you want to be impressed watch videos of apache shooting available on youtube

    • @MN-vz8qm
      @MN-vz8qm 2 года назад +1

      @@cheveuxjaunes2782 There is a good reason for that.
      Basically, when you are not the USA, you have 2 options:
      1/ You build a large army able to win a high intensity war now, but you will not be able to keep up technologically
      2/ You build a small army which will only allow you to defend (and enough for an expeditionary force in low intensity conflicts) and use the rest of the money to keep your military tech leel up to date.
      The french, considering they are surrounded by allies, has gone for option 2. If the world environment gets worse, France will have the time to shift its economy and scale up production of high quality materials (or that is the idea anyway).

So they have a lot of real-world data not just in the strengths and weaknesses of past armor designs, but also a lot of data and feed-back from tank crews about things like the reliability of various tank subsystems, ease of maintenance, suggestions for design improvements, etc.. Remember the Leopard it’s build to fight as a one shot, one hit one kill tank. The Leopard can hit any target 100 precent up to 4000 meters where Lerclec range is 1500, it can shoot longer but not very precise

      Leclerc is smaller and have an auto-loader. The turret of the Leclerc is 1/3 smaller that the one of the Leopard 2, but the Leopard 2 turret weight 19 tonnes when the Leclerc one weight 21.5 tonnes, because the Leclerc one have a far better armor. The Leclerc also have a more modern armor (being +10 years younger than Abrams or Leopard 2 helps), which is modular and adapted against both kinetic and chemical munitions, when Abrams and Leopard ones have been mostly adapted against chemical ammunitions. Also the armor cover the turret from front to end (unlike Leopard) and is heavy armor rated as being the same level of protection as the frontal armor (unlike the Abrams and Leopard), with the trick of using an ERA sandwich to achieve it while not being overweight.

      Because you can put a bigger gun in it, a bigger breech = generates more more explosive pressure = higher velocity shells. , more inclination and declination of the gun (Russian tanks have crap inclination/declination because of their tiny turrets ) Ammo is stored separeately and compartmented -- not Like Russian tanks where any penetrating hit is likely to explode the openly stored ammo = thats why we see Russian tanks with turrets blown off. I'm sure theres more reasons.
