You know why I love Mylo Xyloto? Not because of the music or instrumentals, it's because it's positive. Sure, Coldplay's other music is amazing, but this album just drips with positivity and inspiration, and that's something that sets it apart.

'Charlie Brown' is my FAVORITE Coldplay song ever!!!!!! 'Mylo Xyloto' was released five days before my 14th birthday. I had known them for a while but that album was the one that made me a fan. Eleven years later I'm a grown man still in love with HOW MUCH JOY these guys bring to my life. Something about their music makes me feel hopeful for some reason and it's a beautiful feeling 😍. I feel so soooo lucky to have been able to witness their growth as a band this past decade, and it will be my pleasure to continue to pursue their music 'til the end!

did you know that the wristbands called "xylobands" we're shown for the first time in this video? Then they introduced the idea to be used at the shows, that's why they always play Charlie brown at the concerts because is a remembrance to that album and the importance of those bands at the shows with the people 😉
Charlie Brown is the kind of song that when played live sometimes sounds even better than the studio version. Since the Mylo Xyloto Tour they haven't taken her off the Setlists, and I don't think they should. I can't imagine a Coldplay concert without this track. The live versions are chilling. Glad I will be able to experience this for the first time on the 18th of October, in São Paulo.

Coldplay have said before that the song had nothing to do with the cartoon character. But I wonder:

used to be my favourite song then i forgot about its existence until recently. i listen to it for the first time in years i was just filled with nostalgia from those years. i ways really on the verge of crying. if that isn’t proof of greatness then i don’t know what is. Coldplay will always be my number one band.

Growing up my music taste consisted of one band: Coldplay. I’ve broadened my horizons a lot since then, but I always come back to my roots. This song is a prime example of why. Charlie Brown is one of my favorites of Colpldays! The guitar, the vocals, the bass, the drums! All of it! It makes me feel like I’m in another world sometimes, or sometimes, just somewhere new. mylo xyloto was their weakest album, by a substantial amount. just my opinion. rush of blood and x&y are their two superior records, and if ghost stories can be half as good as one of those, i'd be giddy

Coldplay esteve aqui em São Paulo em 11/03/23 e tocou essa obra prima ao vivo!!!! E eu estava lá para contemplar. Foi inexplicável a sensação de escutar Charlie Brown, Clocks, Yellow ao vivo... se já é possível ter um êxtase ao escutar por aqui, ao vivo é mais surreal ainda!!! O público vibrou com a energia da banda, inesquecível!!!

You're never too late. Mylo Xyloto was outstanding, and has some of the best tracks in the Coldplay canon. I remain impressed how their sound has evolved and yet remained consistent since 2000. This song is among my favorite--always I'm taken aback at how moving the end is.

I don't understand why it doesn't get as much positive reception as Coldplay's other albums. Like you said, it's an album with a powerful message of freedom, harmony, and happiness. I've been having a hard time lately and I never heard of Coldplay until my best friend gave me a pit ticket to their Dallas show last month. Coldplay is one of only 2 bands that can get me out of my depression and their music makes me smile and feel happy. I think the song and the video is about being young and living in the moment. To live life to the fullest with no regrets, to take chances. We are only young once so enjoy it while it lasts with friends and loved ones. Some friendships last forever but many fade away and life moves on.

I'm so glad they still played this song in the AHFOD tour, it was indeed one of the best performance in the whole entire show. Was great to be part of it in Bangkok.

I went to the one in Cleveland in August. Truly a memorable experience!
I saw them this past August at Gillette. Was really anxious and scared because it was my first concert and i wasn't used to being in such a large and slightly chaotic environment (and plus im a die hard fan and always have been) so I had a hard time really letting loose and living in the moment. First two songs finish. I get yelled at by the couple behind me for basically dancing and singing like crazy (having a good time like everyone else was around me except them) so that really threw me off and I wasn't sure how the night was gonna turn out anymore. I was at my first concert ever seeing my all the time favorite fucking band and I'm being told to sit down??? Woah. I sort of relaxed again but couldn't fully let loose and enjoy myself. I switched seats with my cousin because the people on his side were more my type. My phone dies. Charlie Brown begins. And let me tell you. I left a different person that night. I'd never felt so free, happy and emotional and high before in my entire life. It sounds cheesy but its just so true! The rest of that night was unbelievable. I completely lost it (in a positive way) and that song allowed me to just go on and dance, scream and sing and do whatever the hell i wanted to no matter what. My anxiety was gone and I really found my happy place. That song always has had a special place in my heart and now since that night it really really has a special place. The feelings were indescribable. Sorry this got super long and deep lol. I couldn't help it.

I find myself turning to Coldplay whenever things aren't going well in life. The message he gives really helps, I couldn't understand when I was younger. I guess being an adult has its perks,we pass down what we know to guide the new generation through this cruel and beautiful world. But it takes time to accept the growth and struggle after many years.
