Langdon Tactical Beretta 92g Elite LTT - One of the Best Handguns That I've Ever Fired!

  • Hello and welcome. Today we review the ‪@LangdonTactical‬ Elite LTT ‪@BerettaCommunity‬ 92g. Right up front - this is an awesome 9mm with one of the best triggers that I have ever fired. Ever. Langdon's voodoo magic with Berettas coupled with ‪@Lokgrips‬ make this a truly amazing handgun.
I purchased this gun used but in like new condition. On the range section of the video the gun was shooting very low for me. I called Langdon and sent the gun in for evaluation. As it turned out, the previous owner had the wrong ‪@TrijiconInc‬ night sights installed. I paid for Langdon to install the correct sights, they test fired it and sent it back to me - turnaround time was 7 days. Awesome service by ‪@LangdonTactical‬ . Now it shoots perfectly on target.
It is expensive, but in my opinion it is worth every penny. What are your thoughts on it? If you'd like to jump around the video, a time-stamp is provided below.
I look forward to your comments. Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.
Also, many thanks to ‪@Lokgrips‬ for sending the grips in for test and evaluation.

Red and black or purple and black for the grips. I had the full size of this and it was an amazing pistol. I sold it because the exposed trigger bar interferes with my grip. I’m left handed and I had nowhere to put my right thumb that worked out for me. Disappointing, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

The solid brass are for competition. They're meant to add weight to the gun. If you will be carrying that gun for CCW or Duty those solid brass are coming off in a heart beat since it's already a rather big and heavy gun compared to polymer pistols at least.

I’ve got the same gun. They weren’t offering it with RDO when I got mine. Sort of want to get another slide for that reason. One of my all time faves. I have some FDE Lok grips with the same pattern as your orange ones. They’re very nice. I recently sent my barrel out to get ported by the same company Langdon uses. Interested to see how it performs after. I also picked up a PX4 CC from LTT a few months ago and it’s one of my favorite guns in its size range. Extremely accurate. DA is not as nice as my 92 but still pretty good. SA is wonderful of course.

Good evening, MDP, and warm greetings from the Windy City on a Sunday night!
Many thanks for this excellent, well constructed, and precisely detailed video. I am genuinely looking forward to now watching all of your videos, in fact, I just enjoyed your “Favorites of 2022” and, as they say, ‘I’m hungry for more!’
    Three questions:
    1. Were you ever able to determine what was causing your Full-Size Langdon LTT Elite pistol to
    shoot low?
    2. IYHO, beside the obvious, what should be considered in trying to decide which of Ernest
Langdon’s three pistols you should invest in? For example, why choose a Centurion over a
    Full-size model?
    3. One of the things that has always appealed to me about the Beretta (my first was the Model
70S…and she’s a beauty!) 90 series pistols is their look, the aesthetic of these weapons. I am
not sure if the full-sized model you demonstrate in your excellent video was Red Dot ready,
but in other videos I have seen, the bulky and seemingly cumbersome Red Dot “piggy-back”
is, for me anyway, a perhaps very practical but nonetheless clunky distraction.
What does the weapon look like in the Red Dot ready configuration, i.e., is there a tin plate
superimposed on the top of the slide, surrounded by screw holes or heads? Is it easy to
return the gun to its standard, very becoming aesthetic by removing the Red Dot or is
purchasing a second, probably very costly slide the only solution?
P.S. All of Langdon’s current pistols, fitted with I believe all five of his options, list for $1,950.
The full-sized and Centurion models ship with three magazines of 18 rounds, while the
Compact model’s three magazines holds 15 rounds.
Again, many thanks for your very worthwhile efforts!
    Best regards,
    Bill

    • @MDpolo
      @MDpolo  Год назад

Hello Bill. I will do my best to answer your questions below.
      1. I purchased this LTT from a friend. Apparently he changed the sights that came with it and installed an incorrect pair of sights. This was causing it to shoot low.
      2. Of course the LTT that I showcased in the video, the Beretta PX4 Compact Carry (One of my all-time favorites) and the new HKP 30 with the Langdon magic. As to which one you should purchase, it’s all personal preference and what the intended role of the firearm is.
      3. In the past the only way to install a red dot on a Beretta 92 was to buy a dove-tailed mounting plate which you had to install in place of the rear sight. Langdon redesigned some of the internals of the Beretta 92 and was able to actually cut into the slide and mount the red dot much lower than the on top of the slide dovetailed option.
I hope this helps. Thank you very much for watching Bill.

What I found out is that The 92FS had even wider grip cause it had a round counter installed (weird but cool) and the M9A4 taught me that I don't like the straight line back of the grip. Does Langdon do jobs on regular 92 models, the ones that got the frame safety or the 92X series?

    • @paddypibblet846
      @paddypibblet846 Год назад +1

Hey buddy, hope this answer isn't too late. The M9, 92fs, M9A1, Elite LTT and the Brigadier all come with that little extra hump/thickness in the back that you seem to prefer. The Vertecs, M9A3, M9A4, and the new 92X series pistols all come with that thin straight grip you didn't like.
The Elite LTT langdon makes is done on the M9A1 frame which is pretty much almost identical to the 92fs frame (with the exception of the accessory rail and some front and back checkerin). If you were to hold a 92fs with ultra thin grips and a Elite LTT with ultra thin grips, they would pretty much feel the same since theyre dimensionally the same.
So yes, just go with an Elite LTT.

Langdon will work on a 92 if you want to send it in for a price. Honestly I would buy the trigger reset spring and hammer springs installed by myself because that is a very cheap upgrade buying just the parts from Langdon. Or I would just buy a new pistol from LTT:

IMO, Definetly Black & Red grips. It's really a beautiful pistol. You could remove a little (Thousoundths of an inch and shoot to assure bullet placement) material off the front site to adjust your impact higher. However, you may or may not need to remove enough metal that your front dot is partially removed. The other option is different ammo or different sites.
