I’m a new Swiftie and I just have to say. This woman is so artistic and just talented in every way. I like how she is an ally. My opinion is I think the song is about Joe. She wants to stay in that lavender haze (in love) and not marriage. “That 1950s they want from me”. “Only type of girl they see is a one night or a wife”.

I've always really loved Taylor Swift & am blown away by her songwriting ( like Dolly, Willie, Smokey Robinson ,etc.) But I really appreciate her putting so much in her videos& songs that is smart & perfect marketing! She seriously goes the Xtra mile & I am very appreciative
Her love interest is "lit from with in" when he lights up on the bed. That's a Snow on the Beach reference. I think her crawling through the wisteria was alot visually like the scene with her crawling through the woods in the Out of the Woods video. The fish swimming around her...fish in a fish bowl...Like the fish bowl scene in Lover. She sinks into the lavender haze cloud at the end and it covers her and conceals her and she can ignore the chaos of the media and the outside world.

On the weather report, there's also a '13' over Michigan, which I think is a reference to Back to December (also from Speak Now). There's an old BTD performance in which she replaces some of the lyrics with 'this is for the boy from Michigan', which is where Taylor Lautner is from. I think this is another little hint that Speak Now is next. :)

There are some Paper Rings references. Apparently someone spotted that a lot of the characters are wearing rings. The blue toenail polish might be reminiscent of her line "I'm with you even if it makes me blue." And, "Now I wake up in the night and watch you breathe."
I'm not sure why the guy in the video turns over so much in the bed? Each time you look at him, he's facing a different way. Maybe he's having a sleepless night?
this sleepless nights idea is really different and yeah there should be some reference with guy moving a lot
I loved the video so much! It's right up there with LWYMMD and Lover, which are some of my favorites.
this song also reminds me of the Selena Gomez When the Sun Goes Down era (specifically Love You Like a Love Song) with the lavender lakes similar to when Selena was doing her perfume ad and also they sung Who Says together in the Speaks Now tour.

tbh i dont think that taylor is gonna release speak now (taylors version) next and i dont rly have a good reason although i do think she will release it soon. i think taylors next album will be a new album and not a re-recording because its taylors 13th album so i feel like she must to something special for it (not saying re-recordings arent special just something specialer) but im also very convinced its gonna be speak now tv

Your finding is interesting, this MV has many related Easter eggs with old MVs.
For my opinion about the song. Lavender haze, I feel that this song not about love issue or person. It is about her song style that changed from Country to Pop to Darker mode. And she’s enjoy with present song style. (Somebody still want her to be country girl or pop girl that she already successfully passed that styles)

I am feeling like she is telling THE ERAS TOUR SONG LINEUP by her mvs like 1st she released anti hero that has more 1989 and speak now references and also songs of other albums , 2nd in bejeweled there is exile, reputation, willow, speak now etc. references, 3rd in lavender haze midnights , out of the woods, speak now, you belong with me etc references and maybe there should some other songs references also that I didn't noticed. Also some lyrics are parallel to all of her albums songs in midnights. and speak now is common and most prominents so it's TV is awaited too.

It's just "fresh and hot pizza" written on the pizza box you can see it by watching it on HD with zooming your screen on your laptop.

Her toe nails you see are the same as her blue toenails on the scale. That scale had to be removed from Anti-Hero, because she got backlash for fat shaming when she was singing about herself feeling insecure. SO GOOD FOR YOU TAYLOR! STICK THOSE TOES RIGHT OUT THERE.

Why does everyone say she's crawling through wisteria? Wisteria is a vining type plant that is typically grown over a trellis and the flowers dangle. Hench, it took YEARS to touch her feet because she hasn't moved in years.
