You two handled the technical difficulties like the pros you are, and even though I'm sure it was stressful for you it was actually entertaining to watch your brains flex and solve problems live. I had trouble with this game on mild difficulty, looks like it's way harder on medium like you guys were on. After 8 hours I started over with a custom difficulty, I like exploration, base building, and food/thirst management, but the constant fighting with the bugs was too much.
There is a massive amount to do in this game, the map is huge (compared to you) so you'll be playing this for a very long time...
Unless they've changed things since Early Access, kill every ladybug you find, their parts make some of the best armor, but the drop rate as well as spawn rate is terrible.
Definitely don't agree XD best tr 2 armor in this game to get at early game. would be scale Armour, they made it massively easy upon full release. You basically just need a shovel and a rebreather. Which is easy to make, Lady bugs are fairly hard to kill when they are that early in the game. Only reaspn they killed it was cause it was glitched XD Best weapon I'd argue so early would be an ant club, also not hard to make. Upgraded to level 5. Which the party's are fairly easy to get to upgrade, it does almost half the max damage when at level 5 or 6
love games like this. reminds me of when they played “it takes two”.

13:05 1:16:35 I would love to see Evan & Katelyn build multiple bases throughout the garden (CaRtOoNz did that in his Grounded series & it was amazing) - it would be fun to see them use different designs & layouts for each base.
Not to mention, it would be super useful for them to have outposts throughout the garden w/ the bare essentials so they can spend as long as they want exploring/ resource gathering, i.e.:
→ a bed to set a respawn point & make it daytime
→ a spit to cook food they find
→ chests to store excess resources (stuff they can't take home in one trip but might need in the future)
→ a workbench to craft, etc.
Demons and corpses on mortuary assistant: nah, its fine.

Someone tell Katelyn that the water droplets absorb into the ground if you don’t get to them pretty quickly, so if you lose sight of it and you’ve been looking around without luck, give up.
59:25 "Boxing out" and "in the paint" are basketball terms. "The paint" is an area of the court that is painted and "boxing out" is to position yourself for a rebound while blocking the opposing player.
Evan’s a terrible partner LOL. At 2:13:30 he’s like “oh no you died, anyway, what should we unlock” instead of trying to res Katelyn lol.

When Evan got lost in the dark and ran under the oak tree, I thought he would be dead for sure. That was where the wolf spiders sleep!
As for the UPS, the batteries are starting to go, so they’re currently overdrawing. Basically if the power flickered right now, the ups would turn off because the battery is actually flat.
Discovered that when running three pcs off a small one. Upgraded and bought one for each pc, much better.

LOL Katelyn's mic hangs in such a way that if I'm not looking directly at her, I get the impression her mouth is hanging open in amazement. It doesn't happen with Evan, because his seems to blend in with his beard.
Evan 1:30:07 we just need to find a creature [to get rid of the peep creature requirement] also evan 1:30:45, kills first creature he sees.

I'm pretty sure in like every survival game. Like I'm convinced evans head just picks a creature. And only ever says that creatures name wrong. Poor creature. And no matter how much Katelyn tries to correct him. He can't seem to remember XD

Fun stuff. Yes making a base on the outer most lily pads is a great way to stay relatively safe.

Hey!! I’ve been waiting for this game!
The 3 larvae you attacked were Ladybug's kids. In nature they look like this which is very different from the adult ladybug. They are very useful to free plants from aphids, one ladybug larva can eat up to 100 aphids a day.
I forgot I watch the streams in 2× speed and I was like Why did they make the spiders so much faster than in the demo????
The game has a great inventory system, but I love that they also hv a quick menu for your hotpouch 21:30, construction 23:14 & arrow types.

press 'X' to bring up your hand binoculars, then press 'E' to "peep" a creature, once you have donethat you get their cards and it will tell you what that creature it strong, and weak against. :)
I'm playing this with a fren and wanted to add some more frens to it. We may be trying hard but it is a beautiful bugged game lol

Aren't the lilypads good for making a home? I mean, spiders can't jump in there, you'll be safe, you have the juice box near, i think it'll be a really good shelter
There is nowhere completely safe in this game 😂 the pond area has diving bell spiders and the mosquitoes and there are bigger things lurking under the water as well, basically about 99% of everything in this game wants to eat you. It’s still a ton of fun, despite the occasional surprise heart attack from a sudden spider jump scare.
"Water filtration tablets" are not a thing 😆
Water purification/sterilization, e.g. iodine or bleach, yes.

The sound you guys are hearing is the ScaB (bottom left corner) notifying you that your hunger or thirst needs have got really low.
A few tips:
- 24:17 you can share a lean-to/ bed, you don't each need one
- 1:49:59 Bandages heal you *a lot* , but they give heal over time (& using multiple doesn't do anything 1:51:56). You should only need bandages for healing most of the time, but during boss battles/ fights you should use roasts to heal since they give you an instant +40 health.
- 30:36 harvesting grass & weed stem stumps will give you plant fibres, but it will also stop them regrowing/ respawning, so you might only wanna do it wherever you want a permanent build, especially since there's an abundance of plant fibres all over the ground.
- 17:33 Apparently there's a way to remove the blur in the background, but it depends on your personal preference.

I'm sorry to say, because I love you guys and think your videos are awesome, but Evan can be SO selfish sometimes.
When Katelyn died to the wolf spider, he wasn't even TRYING to get to her to save her, he was just looking around doing his own thing. And then when Katelyn was in the lab but Evan died, she purposefully held off from doing anything to progress while he came back, but the other way round? Nope, Evan just carried on regardless, always having to be the one that gets to stuff first and do it all.
I feel real sorry for Katelyn because you can see in her face sometimes that she seems to get so annoyed about always being steam-rollered over. When she died to the ladybug in the machine, it was just immediately, "Oh well, back to Evan", not even waiting for her to get back into it.
I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this comment, but it happens so often across so many of their videos, and I just feel so sorry for Katelyn sometimes because I've been with someone like that, when it's all about them all the time.
