As a floridian, can confirm water spiders exist, but theyre pretty chill, only daddy long leg levels of creepyiness.... giant water bugs however are horrifying to find in your pool

Do not make several ziplines of multiple heights going to everywhere yet! There’s an update coming where you can travel both ways! Meaning one zip can carry you across, no matter the slope. It won’t be perfect, but it will save you resources for when that update comes out.
one nice thing is that once the 1.1 update comes out there is supposed to be a way to go both directions on a zip line. I think it is called something like ZIP.R
I’m only part way through the episode so I don’t know if you guys have discovered it yet or someone in chat mentioned it. If you break the spider egg sacks, you can get parts of other bugs (like bombardier parts & ladybug heads) you just have to watch out for the big spiders in the area and the spiderlings that come out of the egg sacks.

I love your stream on Grounded. Your play through is so much different than mine and my kids. FYI the ant eggs for the bombs are in a 2nd red ant hill to the west of the old tree . However, if you both go in there with full red ant set the soldier ants will not attack you so you can explore freely 😁✌️
Quality of Life Tip from your friendly neighborhood “Forest” Ranger: sleeping in a bed (not the lean-to) will give you a status bonus that slows food/hydration consumption for the day. Meaning you’ll burn through your food and water slower! 😁
Oh my gosh... I did not know you could send items via the zipline!! I built an insane tower on a lily pad, like... 40 stories, so I could zipline from my lily pad base to my lower yard base, and I literally ran back and fourth with pallets for in game DAYS to get all the stairs and platforms built. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. 😐 (But also I am still super proud of my tower, it is so tall it can literally connect to every main game location!)

Nah, the thing about saving all the stones for upgrades is kinda myth, no need to do that. Use them when you want, there is plenty of them around, and some :) We did the same, and saved them for a long time until we realized there was no need at all XD
Nope there is no glitch with the Canteens, you're adjusting the HOTPOUCH slot 8 not the HELD ITEM slot which is located on the top right of the Inventory tab.. there are written labels that says exactly what is happening
Did not know about the items on zipline very handy. I wish the ziplines had a color to indicate speed before you build the line wasting tons of silk on something that's super slow.
WOW they added so much since they launched on Steam!!! I got this game the day it launched on steam. I haven’t played it for over a year now and seeing this footage..😮 They have really come a long way. Take it from someone who played this game since day 1. 👏👏 Thats awesome. All the people who are upset about the ladybug hunting have clearly never been bit/pinched by a ladybug. They rarely do it, but when they do, it HURTS.
Oh there was this tiktok I saw it showed the players using max carry stems and yeets at the ladybug it took maybe 5 to 6 hits of a full stack, it knocked down the health fast and they didn't even wear any armor
Did you know only female mosquitos suck blood? They use it to make eggs. (Also, female mosquitos have very plain antennae while males have fluffy feathery antennae and the ones in the game have neither.)
One of the drawbacks of this game is that if you don't have ADD, it certainly gives it to you. We need bombs, no we need armor, no we need silk, no we need berries, no we need... neverending distractions pulling you in every direction, but at least it's fun! :) One thing I do with the N key... put your equipment chests far enough from your material chests/crafting area that you can just come in and hit N to unload your materials but not send your equipment, canteen, arrows, etc. Also... unfortunately.. Lady Bug armor is one of the best items until end game.. especially for someone like Evan who blocks a lot. It is a great set to invest your marble upgrade components into, even the tier 2 ones... Level 7 upgraded Lady Bug is exceptionally strong against even the end game content. I say unfortunately, because that of course means more Lady Bug murdering. You may also want to watch some videos about how to create bounce elevators for your zipline network. They are expensive, but very time saving. Not really cheating to look them up, either, as they are something you might not think of without watching a video about them.

I was watching your stream the other day. Too bad I couldn't chat with you guys. For games you want to add to your list, try Satisfactory, Valheim, and Oxygen Not Included, or Don't Starve. for single player, Timberborn. These games are similar or related to Grounded in one way or another. Valhiem is the closest type of game as Grounded but the story isn't there. Majority of the game is just gathering resources to build a beautiful base and kill boses. though you do get to terraform the land to suit your needs. Oxy. and Don't Starve are a bit more unique. The art style is more 2d than 3d. Timberborn is more of your traditional base building but with a twist. you play as beavers. the most impressive thing about the game is the 3 dimensionality of the base building and the water physics. you can control rivers like beavers/humans. lol. (the beavers are behaving like humans). the main challenge is survival.
They did play Valheim a bit, but it was too much like Minecraft so they dropped it. Those other games you mentioned do not work with K&E concept, they are single player games that are not rogue-like or RPGs. Well technically don't Starve together might work. But it just is more gloomy and serious game to play. Evan is alike me in that sense, that he loves to build creatively, Don't Starve does not really allow any.

You can tame aphids weevils and gnats and keep them as pets but you'll need an oven and grinder first to make them food and a house

I would guess that the key to the underwater treasure chest is the key under the pipe that Katelyn died in that you needed the level up ax for.

You get the silk back if you demolish it. And you can always move it.
