      I've bought Xbox Classic to play Project Gotham Racing 2 again. New games career progression is non existent.

      @@BroadcastBro Not only Sim's, Forza Horizon where you can have S1 car after 5 minutes in the game doesn't encourage you to go through carrer.

    Those of you who might be sceptical about the "Giants Engine", just know that it's basically Unreal Engine 4 (those who have modded Farming Simulator know), and there's already a successful racing simulator build on it. Assetto Corsa Competizione. Of course it doesn't mean that this will turn out to be just as good, but at least we know the engine can deliver if the developer knows what they're doing.

      Assetto has its limitations cuz of the engine, that's why they are making a new inhouse engine for Asseto corsa evo

      Do you think ACC is good enough? Because it is very bad from graphic side, and, S4 (and Kunos) got away from UE5 because there are serious issues there.

      @@sd5rtgfcdgfdc888 What limitations? Works fine for me. Everything looks good and it runs well. Besides, the graphics engine does not affect physics.

      One of the big issues is audio and how it scales properly, also alot of the audio samples are rather lackluster. same goes for normal Asseto. ​@@xXturbo86Xx

    On console, if you can get it running on controller as well as GT7 then you'll be onto a winner. It would be nice for that game to have some proper competition for controller users (i.e. the majority of console gamers)

      @@kronos711 I won't argue that, my point it's NOT on par with the big boys in sim racing universe, PC2 is basically the bottom of sims and FORZA, GT are simcades in my book, but it's subjective ofc!

    Slight concern that the amount of work needed to get UE where it needs to be is so great you might have well created something more fit for purpose from the ground up. Didn't Kunos move away from UE /ACC to their own engine for AC Evo? I realise they have experience in simulations before but trying to optimise for performance with 40 cars on track doing 200+ mph with so many data points to factor in whilst making sure things like FPS and latency remain high might be vastly different to how a single tractor handles whilst towing a muck spreader. I wish them all the best mind as more driving titles is a good thing

      We are no longer using UE. We have been working on bringing our physics into and building on the Giants Engine for many months

    I'm pretty sure we can trust Ian with the physics, but last time in PC2, the wrap-up of the title at launch was terrible. I liked the weight transfer, and the photo mode was beautiful, the seriousness of the title was evident. Flashing shadows, copy and paste engine sounds, inaccurate engine sounds, and generic transmission and backfire sounds does not help with immersion! The build-up was great, but that really doesn't mean anything when the title is half-baked, so Ian I'm not going to hold my breath on this one, hopefully you can surprise us! All the best!

    If you truly want to stick to the roots don’t make the mistake of trying to appeal to everyone. Not current hybrid cars, but the better GT era from 20yrs ago. Full grids/ championship/ realistic weather out of the box, decent offline AI, and reward the player with some special bonus stuff for making podiums and winning championships. That will make the sim stand out in a sea of similar half finished cookie cutter titles.

    When you have nothing to show, you show marketing stuff... The engine called Last Garage should have been your choice to have a proper chance if you can't use Madness engine for legal reasons probably.

    Farming 'Simulator' is not a simulator if you've ever driven a tractor, his analogy of saying they have a basis of a simulator and can move that to racing easily is absurd! iRacing, ACC, AC, AMS2 and rFactor have all been around racing sims longer and there is still so much wrong with them. Using the Giants engine as a sim........ Maybe give the farming sim guys REAL simulation first like real traction, yeah Giants dont even simulate that in FS!
