His biggest mistake was his marriage to Lili Damita who ruined his life to the bitter end. She haunted and pursued him relentlessly without mercy. Sorry to say, but she was spitefulness in persona. She even took away his beloved Mulholland home.

He could have saved himself a lot of grieve and he himself knew it too. And, I have always accepted him unconditionally! I am glad we have this conversation.

I agree with you 100 percent that his biggest mistake was marrying Lili Damita. What a nasty, revengeful person. She coerced him into marriage, took so much money from him, but Errol still had one on her--he never really loved her & she knew it!!!
