I heard the "x" on atom eve's costume was just to make animation easier. You'll probably realize later but it's actually an atomic/molecular symbol at the top of her costume, hence "atom" eve
It was only meant to be simplified in far shots, but there was some miscommunication early on. It was meant to be two rings with electrons on them in closer shots the whole time.
So I think they explain later, Rexplosion's power is similar to Josh's mha oc, where he infuses explosives into whatever he throws. During the alien fight, he throws coins and change. Also, as for AdamEve's(?) symbol, I think it's two halos (like satern rings) around the female symbol, not necessary an X.
