Thank you for the review and tour. Seems like a comfortable/classy utilitarian yacht

She (The boat if you have to ask) is an absolute stunner! The design is so clever and clean, and she is spect for everything! Nowdays I´m marooned for medical reasons, I wouldn´t even get aboard in my wheelchair, but heck, ske could allmost make me walk again!

That's not a weekend pleasure yacht. CAT 0 means its certified to go anywhere. Cape Horn, Antarctica, Roaring 40s. I don't know all the particulars about getting CAT 0 certified but it is by no means cheap.

this boat is really in a class of its own, doesn't compete with princess or galeon or anything in the leisure market, they are probably actually the cheapest world cruising explorer motor yacht in its size, also holds their value very well as there are only a few FPB's ever built. Comparatively in the long run, this will end up saving you so much money. On another note, a 80ft princess costs $8,5mil but you cant compare the 2. Arcadia Sherpa 80xl $7,5mil but it wont be able to handle and manage terrible ocean conditions as well as this. Unless you build a custom offshore cruiser this is basically your only choice unless you can afford to spend $100mil on the many explorer mega yachts that are on offer

If you go search for the FPB 97 video on this channel , in the beginning they show footage of the boat in some ocean conditions that might help you better understand the true capabilities of this yacht.

Actually, for what you get with an FPB I would say they are cheap. You could pay twice as much to another manufacturer and still not have the comfort at sea, safety, speed, range, and fuel economy of an FPB.These boats are designed to really go anywhere and be handled by just a couple. The big flash super yachts are designed for an audience, and calm seas.

With due respect, you clearly dont know alot about vessels and kit and the expenses involved, you do know what b.o.a.t means right? (Bust out another thousand) This particular vessel, if I'm not mistaken is the only fpb with cat0, which adds alot of expense in the construction, surveying and certifications, it's got redundancy in most if not all of its critical systems (all of which are mid-high to high end), and it's as or more capable and sea worthy than any vessel its size in the world. It also comes, by virtue of its classification, with the ability to make income from chartering as well as fully conducive to live aboard life. This is as close as one can get to a perfect vessel.
At 6.5m it's an absolute bargain. And if you think the price tag is high you wouldnt even want to know the maintenance, fuel and refitting, insurance, operating, crew (you're not crossing oceans without a real crew and they dont work for free, and if you're not crossing oceans go get a fiberglass sportfisher or island hopper) and logostical costs. Suffice it to say if you dont have 25m of free burnable cash you cant afford her, and even that would be a stretch out past 10-15 years of ownership.
