If you still feel bad choosing Frank after what happened to PK squad and Rowe, don't. They just following Jack's orders. Rowe refuse the plan but Jack insist to do the plan. Rowe do anything for good of the people and his men. Going up there is just an order, if giving to Frank the Controls gonna do good for the people, Rowe's death won't be for nothing.

I just finished this mission and I gotta tell you. I liked Rowe and his boys a lot and I don't like the feeling that the PK are gonna look at those deaths in vein. But I don't trust Juan nor Matt, there's something about them, to many agenda's. Frank was a very damaged man and he couldn't get out of the horrors in his head from what happened in that tower. The NightRunners were for the people and since the moment I met Frank I knew he was mentally and emotionally broken. Giving him the tower felt right and hearing him speak over the radio, you can clearly hear in his voice that some life returned back to him. That meant a lot to me to be honest. Even though the PK aren't bad guys at all, they do a lot of good. I like the survivors a lot more. Also I don't play into that propaganda shit and thats all Jack wanted to do.

If and when you learn the truth about the pks after the mission breakthrough you realise that the only good thing to do here is give the tower to frank

Frank kept talking shit to me when i was climbing to the top then switched up his attitude when i gave the tower to him
Rowe and the boys dying made me give it to the PKs in my first playthrough. Then the PKs let a lot of people die from the missile strikes. Never again, I'm sorry Rowe :(

@@5starr.leonnn So far, yes. Techland said they'd release NG+ sometime post-launch but it's not out yet, so to redo the story on your own you have to start from scratch.
Same here, I gave it to the PK's for that reason and I didn't want aiden to be side tracked from finding his sister.

I gave the tower to the Peacekeepers for a few different reasons. The first reason was because I was grinding for that killer crossbow you get for giving them districts. The second reason was because I was hooked on the whole concept of order and unity at the time, something the peacekeepers represent strongly. I believe that if humanity is to have a chance in the future, they need to be strong and united, which is something the peacekeepers are capable of achieving on a small scale already. Though now I’m not so sure, but that’s only because the initial aftermath with Jack Matt asking you to help more before he could help you seemed a little dodgy
Yah they really shit on the PKs in this game. Makes you think that the survivors route in these situations would be better. But the survivors would have broken at lot more easy then the PK. They couldn't even hold the water tower in the beginning from 2 guys.
i chose pk. the survivors tried to hang you in first sight and were somehow meaner than the peacekeepers. also frank was a douche drunk that didnt even believe in you, and suddenly when youre up there he goes sober and goes on about his dream broadcast
You could have easily gotten the crossbow far before this mission by just giving water towers and power stations to PK. i did it in 10 minutes after first getting to the central loop at level 2. You don’t have to waste those on big game decisions.
Jack M is a scum bag never wanted to help him in the first place aitor was the only real PK I pretty much respected Juan is a child frank no matter what is the best option you can have a frank survivor ending an still get the crossbow too that’s what I did lol

I went with Frank since Jack seemed to care more about his ambition than the men under his command. Rowe wouldn't want me to give it to Jack.
Me to I gave to drank because of several reasons one because of the best ending lawna and aiden leaving the city and finally got the ending I wanted and frank actually deserver it because of the first time he try and take control of the tower and jack gets pissy about not getting control of the tower and Juan really didn’t desever it in my opinion just to further his own goal and thirdly hakon to be alive

I wonder if they'd have been happy about the antenna being in Frank's control as the civilians that the peacekeepers were trying to protect were happy with Frank's Radio. Also Frank had nearly given his life too for the antenna so.

As much as I like Frank, there wasn’t any way I was gonna give the tower to him after he sat on his ass the whole time while cool PK soldiers gave their lives to help me take it. That’s just plain dishonorable

@@kellywilson8400 Yea the PK ending feels a little out of the blue (heh). By the time you learn Matt's real nature it's way too late though. It doesn't speak for the game that if people would just talk half if not more of the problems would be solved. Oh well. It's also really hard to side with survivors when all they do when you first meet them is either try to kill you, dislike you, or refuse to help you.
@@jojothehamster yeah I wasn’t too happy about some of the character directions in this game. It’s funny how I helped pretty much everyone without pledging my allegiance to any side, I made my mission well known and still by the end both sides called me a traitor 🤦🏻♂️
That’s true but I can imagine if Rowe was alive by the end of that mission, he would have sided with Frank because he despises Matt. Both Matt and Juan want to use Aiden and only care about their own interest.
To get the best ending:
1. Spare Hakon In Old Villedor.
2. Give The Radio Tower To Frank.
3. Save Frank In Breakthrough.
4. Spare Hakon And Stop Lawan From Killing Him In No Mercy.
5. Let Lawan Detonate The Bombs In X13.

I chose frank, yes he drunk and messed up. But I like Rowe and the squad but lawan had a point to where she said Juan will screw you over. And that he was using you at the beginning of the mission. Think it’s best to listen to shawty lawan. Therefore I gave it to the survivors. It was fun while it lasted with the boys and the 6 pack we had the night before the mission. 👋🏼

Best choice is to give control to Frank bcz when thr missile strikes in the ending matt jack nd juan both are unable to inform people bout the strike nd lot of people died. And if u give control to frank. Frank will tell all the people about the strike and then people will evavuated with minimal casualties

Am I the only person that thinks Juan's option makes more sense in the grand scheme of things like If it were not a video game I'd go with Juan's option and then find mia and get out and never look back....but that would be an aweful ending to a pretty good game.
Considering how Mia died hours later, giving it to Frank makes the most sense. The people need hope, not propaganda.
I did choose Juan on my first play through, and it doesn't end up like you think it would. Probably the worst ending imo.

Whatever choice you make leads to Mia through alternate means. But giving it to Frank allows him to warn people of the missile strikes.
I've read so many comments. How do people like Frank? Am I the only one who despises the survivors? Not one has given me any reason to like them, trust them, help them...I am at the broadcast mission right now. Frank is still the drunk a-hole who when I go to get help still belittles me. To now telling me not to even do this mission, to even saying I'm responsible for Lawan if she dies! Again, I'll ask. How do people like frank? Also Lawan let's be honest, we barely know her. She half a..ed saved us but that was forced plot. She has been nothing but annoying and we literally spend a few missions around her. Nothing at all talks about her for me to even care nor like her. That has been my biggest issue with this game. I'm a mega fan. However only a few characters showed any redeeming qualities. No character development basically. The only reason I am giving frank the antenna is due to me wanting the best ending. If not for that, it goes to jack. So far pk have been straight up with me. Actually treated me better then anyone else. They actually helped me, showed more humanity then survivors. This is conditioning btw where its obvious they portrayed survivors as heroes of the people and pk a fascist regime. Survivors have done nothing to help themselves and blame pk for everything that goes wrong. The ole can't help others if you can't help yourselves attitude. The devs did all this on purpose. Majority of people picked survivors. They betray Aidan every mission, try to have em killed nonstop, degrade him every mission, and frank is a mean drunk. Just cause lawan says he is a hero...sorry he is a p.o.s. too. Only thing I know about lawan is she was experimented on like Aidan. I like Rosario Dawson but I don't like Lawan because the game wants me to. It's obvious the love interest and I know about the secret ending. I don't see myself or anyone being with someone so mean, degrading, and we honestly know nothing about her. I had to look up info to just get a read on her. This game doesn't do character building very well and it fascinates me why people keep saying how good the characters are or so and so is their favorite. Dying light had better character development and it sucked when some died. Or you even laughed. This game I've been annoyed with almost every character and mission. Seriously I don't even care what happens to anyone in this game because nothing is humanizing them for me.
The survivors in the central loop are more likable than those in old town. Frank has been through a lot of shit, which is why he's the way he is. Don't tell me you trust Jack if you've read some of the lore.
Also, not giving the tower to Frank results in many more dying from the missile strikes later.

I just finished the mission. I gave it to Frank. You wont beleive this but i still havent finished the game since its release. Been doing side quests and exploring and then do missions when i want to get through the story. Mainly coz i have to work and study aswell.
i still playing it. i am at that tower now and have face the decision 😂😂😂😂 the game was untouched a few months
From the point of consequences it’s better to give tower to frank, yes. But at that moment I gave it PKs (Huan in particular) because how game presented frank to us.
Just a lame drunk that you need to hit on E key 5+ times to get smth useful from him. Nevertheless, his audacity towards us during the VNC tower mission got me furious. When Aiden was overwhelmed by infected frank was like “fOrGeT aBoUt HiM, hE Is DeAdMaN” instead of helping.
But when Aiden managed to get to the roof (to frank’s surprise) he suddenly became like “Oh man! Cool you did it. Could you please give tower to me despite I didn’t believe in you and sat on my ass the whole time”.
No way! I didn’t like PKs, but a least they made some efforts and actually put their lives at risk.
I've finished Dying Light 2 three times. Two runs were years apart but I sided with the PKs all the way. The bazaar folk were lunatics that needed to be stopped. Franks fate in the PK runs were emotional. I finished my third run last night but this time the tower went to Frank. Seeing the story branch off and develop further for Lawan, Frank, and Hakon made things very interesting and seeing Lawan change making the right choices through the story was powerful. I loved it. Seeing Frank have purpose again after giving the tower to him made me extremely happy and the guy suddenly loved Aiden like a son. Sadly I screwed the ending up and the whole city was ruined whilst Aiden and Hakon went off into the sunset cheering for surfing at the ocean while Villador was in ruins 😂😂😂

What we have tro choose to unlock sunken city I know that we later need to go againt Colonel but what here we need to choose matt or frank, and does we need to save frank or not earlier in the game
For me the best choice is to give it to Frank because he gives the hope to people and mobilises them. The worst choice for me is to give it to Matt, i really don't like him because he doesnt care about his people, and even if he is not as much as Rowe. On the other hand Juan is neutral to me, it isn't that bad choice but still Frank is the best

I picked Jack on first game. Why? If the humanity was in deep s**t like it was in game, it needs to be strong and united. Peacekeepers were strong and knew how to fight with infected, while survivours don't know exacly and are dying easily. In the ending of the game, the survivors do not say how many people died during the night, unlike other endings (PK 6 people, renegades probably 40), so in my opinion this number was so high that the survivors themselves did not want to announce it publicly (in my opinion it was about 20-30 people). I know that the peacekeepers did not give access to water to the survivors, but even if the survivors had it as it was shown in the ending with the survivors, when they don't know how to defend themselves?
Also during the game Peacekeepers are more friendly to Aiden, while survivours don't trust him in 100% even when we support them. I know it's because they scared and are afraid of people from outside Villedor, but cmon, killing people from outside? Killing themselves because of survival (as Lawan said in Fish Eye that they would kill themselves outside safe zones), while Peacekeepers are working together to survive.
In my opinion, also the hatred between peacekeepers and survivors results not from general dislike for each other, but from misunderstanding. After all, as we know from Lawan, Sergeant Lucas wanted to help the survivors but was murdered by Hakon, and Jack accused the survivors of it. Even Aitor himself did not want to destroy the bazaar, which he pointed out, but he had to follow orders, because we all know how not to follow orders ends. Also during gameplay we can see them trying to help people, while we can't see something like that done by Survivours (only the possibility of being raised by a survivor if we die).
If I were to define the system that the factions represented, I would describe the Peacekeepers as an authoritarian regime, the renegades as a totalitarian regime, and the survivors as anarchists. Under peacekeepers rulership there would be no murdering themselves as survivours do (as Lawan say) because something like that is punished by death, while survivours describe it as "survival". We can also see that Peacekeepers had the most advanced healthcare and they are trying to save anyone that get's hurt, while survivours save people who can be saved, while the seriously injured are written off (as i saw and remember, also i didn't see hospital in bazar or anywhere else). Also i know pk are not saint in 100%, they done a mass amount of bad things, but if world would be in situation like this in real life, the people would rather go in pk-like way.
I know it sounds like peacekeepers propaganda, but it's not. It's only my opinion and if someone has it's own, you can write it in reply, i'm open to conversation and hearing someone else's opinion, and sorry for bad english if it is.

survivors has the best ending to the game, and pk's turn the city into a regime and juan and renegades kinda same as pk's ending but they dont care about people at all. juan seals himself away with all the important supplies.
The survivor probably wont be able to survive more than 10 years compared to the pk who are organised
Right like the pks would clear the streets and root out the infected block by block until they take back the entire city. Then farming and water supplies will be more abundant making survival easier. The survivors just want to do the least possible to survive which will only cause more problems down the line as resources begin to dwindle. The mixed option of the peace keepers staying around and survivors supporting them is the best option IMO. Idk why there wasn’t a side that you could pick to bridge the 2.
@@aidanatkinson7717 maybe in a story dlc, we could see em working together killing the rest of the zombies and gathering all the supplies from each building and rebuilding the city.
Let's be realistic, what will happen if a few of the survivors do not settle for less and form a group and revolt? at least pk is organized and can provide security
The survivors are a very weak faction, they're very dependable of the night runners.

Frank, obviously. Juan becomes a Dictator, with the aid of the Renegades if you help him. Frank restores the Nightrunner's glory, and gathers the remnants of his faction. And Jack Matt just turns it into a propoganda machine.

nah this doesnt do anything gameplay wise. no traps, ziplines etc. the transmitter is one of the biggest decisions for the ending, thats about it.

I gave the radio tower to Jack Matt and the Peacekeepers because they are the only faction that are able to create order out of chaos.
So much better in new game + you don’t have to go after all the special weapons instead you can do what you really want to do cuz you have them already 😂

I gave the tower to frank because he said the night runners died trying to reach to the top and I that made me feel so bad for frank ❤
I've always given control of the tower to Frank after learning that Jack Matt is mentally ill. In the final segment of the game, he fakes an attack by the renegades and poisons Frank, which you find out if you choose to save him rather than pursue the "Renegades". On top of that, he's always made some dodgy and stupid orders throughout the game that even after Rowe died it still didn't seem worth giving the tower to the PK. I might do it in the future in order to get the crossbow, but that's honestly the only reason I would do it for.
Just spend the 5 bucks and buy the hakon pack from the store the crossbow you get there is way better anyways.

If this was a roleplay i woud have made aitor the leader of the pk, he Is consistent, keeps his end of the deal (right Matt?) warns you about that ambush in annas hideout, he Is a chad, he probably woud had let the radio station be in Frank's hands, for keeping the Survivor/ PK situation stabile peapole look up to the nightrunners , so probably Frank's voice was going to bring more recluts to the pk than Matt Will ever

Replaying the story in NG+ and im doin the absolute worst playthrough possible
On my first playthrough, which unfortunately got corrupted and I lost all weapons, armor, etc (except for story stuff like the paraglider and grapple hook). I deleted it and started fresh after my PK run. I'm going full survivor instead of mish-mash.
All being said though, my first playthrough, I gave it to Frank. I was just a depressed man, who had a lot of heart but hid it under all the alcohol he drank due to being betrayed and losing dear friends.
The survivors are just simple folk trying to make the best out of what they can gather and build. The PK's only care for destroying the renegades and building fortifications to impose their view of law and order. So survivors all the way for me.

PK because Frank gives no warning about the exploders, just says your dead and then finally when he thinks he can benifit he gives you advice on the grappling hook.
Even though he didnt mention about the Kamikaze Zombies, at least he warned aiden that going to the VNC Tower is a suicide mission. Remember that Frank is the leader of the night runners which means he is good at parkours and sh!t and have experience of exploring the city at nights as you travel the whole city you will find some of nightrunners hideouts. Yes, Frank doubted aiden because he thought he was just a normal dude running around the city but what he didn't know is that Aiden is special like Waltz.

I'm glad I have Hakon Crossbow so I can freely sided with Survivor.
Rowe and his men are great but the leader is mad. You can see the difference when you gave transmitter to Jack vs Frank. Frank even though he sounded disappointed but he never tries to threaten player to get it back.
Rowe is great man but he chosed wrong leader.
Another reason why I gave to Frank is because I collected the tape about Jack and his disputes with his superiors.

This game is meant for multiple playthroughs.. I just wanted to make sure I still had a chance to find mia.. I would side with whatever faction you're helping already.. can do something different next time
From a morality point a view - Frank is the best choice. He will be very happy and will use all of his resources to minimise casualties in upcoming events.
From a practical point a view - Peacekeepers. Despite Matt being a real scumbag, he’s organisation have a muscle to clear a city and make it a much more safer place.

His mission throughout the game is to attack the colonel.
Which would cause the colonel to poison the city's water supply.
Killing most survivors.
Juan sets up Matt for a trial.
The best choice is to destroy the radio broadcaster.
