Thanks for this video. I'm working on dealing with some deep hurt and betrayal trauma after infidelity and divorce. I've spent the last 9 months trying to think my way out of the pain from my emotions but i'm realizing now that I need to stop trying to think through them and start feeling them without trying to rationalize and make the pain go away. Is this the right technique in your opinion to help move on?
Thank you for the video Tanner. I would like to ask you if we need to-identify and feel the sensation to release it. I mean, I generally feel my stomach, feet, arms and hands with a lot of tension and I from a while ago, what I do is just feeling these sensations without trying to know which feeling they represent or the reason why they are. But I have watched in other channels and read in other posts, that it is necessary to identify the sensation (if it is anger, fear or sadness) and feel it with the purpose of releasing it. Can you please give me your opinion? Thanks!!
Thanks for reaching out. I unfortunately cannot give direct therapy advice. However generally, I notice often people with neuroplastic pain (including myself) struggle to be able to identify emotions. I found for myself I needed to first explore the sensations of emotions in my body, and later on I was better about to start identify emotions (it took time!). This is what worked for me personally, and because I don't know your case I cannot say if it applies. Hope this helps!
TMS coaches: feel your emotions Also TMS coaches: don’t get angry and frustrated about your pain 🤷♂️ What am I not understanding, it’s so contradictory it’s almost deranging
Yes, this can be confusing. Although it is important to change our response to the pain, it is also important to allow our emotions to occur. Sometimes actually responding to our emotions differently at first is the only way we can move through them.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
I wish there were examples to understand better. Thanks
I'll do a video on this soon!
Very helpful and very informative, as always. Greetings!!
So happy it was helpful!

Are you ok? What do you need help with?
@@icequeen5551 I wasn’t taught as a child how to feel/express emotions, and now at 29 I feel so lost, anxious all the time and caught in my head.
I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through. I hope my content can be supportive for you.
