Update: I'm 25 hours into Metaphor... What a game, I'm absolutely loving it! Happy Holidays fam, hope y'all have a good break and I'll see you in 2025 😃
I don't play videogames before their first birthday and to be honest there's nothing really inspiring me from 2024. Lucky so as I have a long queue from previous years. Thank you for your job!
There were several great games this year. At least play Balatro if you haven't yet. It's cheap and you will sink 100 hours into it without realizing 4 entire days of your life were gone. It's that good of a game.
@@VurtAddicted I used to play poker a lot. It's not even close to the same game. For example you can turn high card into a powerhouse that wins the entire game. Its very strategic with a good amount of luck, but the only thing it has in common with poker is that it uses hands like a full house as a modifier. In Balatro its better to have higher card straights than lower card flushes because of the point system.
I wish I could play Indy Great Circle right now, but the PC version requires a RTX card, it won't even launch otherwise. So I will have to wait until I build my new pc later next year. My best 2024 game I played this year was Ghost of Tsushima (the pc version was released this year). Runner up is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Wukong is hardly a must play. Apart from character design and visual fidelity, it doesn't really do anything impressive. Combat - good (not great) Sound design - decent Level design - trash Story - non existent (given the source material they were working with). Get this game when on sale.
Well, that was a list. Most notable is what's not on it, so your list is very esoteric. But, you do you, it's your list. Apparently you like certain games and ignore others that are kinda big. But, hey, play what's fun for you, right? Even if what you don't play happens to be the best games (by the numbers). Weird how that works.
@@oliver-04 whats your point aside from pointing out the obvious? Do you make stupid comments often or is this a special occasion? Do you relate to the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz?
@@thebenc1537 I respect him from saying his controversial opinion instead of just following the consensus, I see too many lists online saying the same games are best, and the same games are worst.
I'd be up to hear your thoughts on shadow of the erdtree. I thought it was ok, but the overwhelming acclaim it got was a bit much. ER has become a game now that if you criticize it, the fans jump to the conclusion you must suck because thats the only possible explanation. In terms of balance ER and SoTE are probably the worst tuned souls game I've played, and I've played them all. Doesn't mean its bad but the balance is all over the place because FS has just jammed so much stuff in there. Just my 2 cents. Agree with the list. I fell off on outlaws, just didn't grab me after a few hours of playing. Maybe I should give it another shot.
Veilguard is my GoTY, last few years actually--I finally wasn't burnt by my expectations. Indian Jones started strong for me but I got bogged down in the Vatican area and I havn't played it for more than a week. Maybe I'll watch Cohh Carnage's playthrough and see if I can get back into it. I don't understand the appeal of platformers amongst adults :). I already deleted Stalker 2--I don't think they are going to fix that game anytime soon.

How is there a 12-hour difference between your comment and the video's upload time?
@@XiaoMiled Just noticed it, probably a bug
Perfect analogy for DATV and GOT. I may use that if I may, lol!😂
Stellar Blade is a Must Play if not GOTY contender. If Indy is there, Stellar should be there too
I've lost interest in buying a PS5 for quite sometime, but the amount of people praising Astrobot make me reconsider buying one.
Wukong S+ on PC

@thebenc1537 I am sure it's super good, but I play real poker already, not sure if I want to jump into that rabbit hole. Tnx for suggestion though

Couldn't be more agenda driven if you tried
Star Wars Outlaws is a must play game? Come on man. Don't do that to yourself.
His opinion

You lost me at Star Wars Outlaws; that game is objectively a pile of regurgitated Ubi-slop.
