But the Leopard I is much better than T-54. Sure,T-54 has nuke APCBC,but is overall much more sluggish and can't react as fast. And the armour doesn't matter,because anything that Isn't a Tiger II or a T32 can easily penetrate it anyway.
I don't know if someone is reading this but: Playing the germans it is very difficult at rank 5. You can't play against cold war vehicles in a Tiger II. At the BR 7.7 you only have the Leopard 1 and the M48A2 G A2, if you played the tank destroyers maybe the Jagdpanzer 4-5, but there are missing tanks. There is a huge gab between rank 4 and rank 5, to make this BR enjoyable. Please add some tanks for the Vaterland. AND GIVE US SOME TANKS OF THE E-REIHE

Well That's half true and half not true I have Killed a Tiger Tank and other Tiers. Its not about the Tiers it's about the Shells and the Tactics. If you're good at both of them then your in luck to Mostly Carry your team or Kill High Tier Tanks.

The armor becomes weaker and other than certain heavies, the Germans don’t stuggle to penetrate them. 5.7 tanks get outclassed in every aspect when fighting other than maybe mobility in certain trees. IMO only the T-54 tanks give the Germans a run for their money everytime 7.7 comes around against 6.7s. I think the T-54 needs to be 8.0 and the T-44-100, 6.7.
I was suffering from the same problem until suddenly I somehow turned on my internal Zen. The only thing which is kinda annoying is driving Maus or 10.5 cm Tiger through the big map... But on the other hand, you can go and make some tea, while the tank is slowly crawling to its death)

That’s SO true. I felt like German tanks became a murderous grind after the first Tiger. I’m at the Tiger II and Rus tanks just always clean house. Switch to my Rus or American tree and it’s like playing on easy.

It makes German 5.7-7.3 unplayable and hurts lower and higher BRs but as long as America and Russian combo teams dominate they will sell premiums for those nations

Please fix the panther G mantlet : the lower part definitly shouln't be 100 mm , you need to cut the mantlet in two part and to add realistic armor values to the lower part , because while this thing was a clear upgrade in real life , in war thunder it's worse than before because it has the same armor value as the other not upgraded panthers mantlets and it's now FLAT . It must have real values ..fix this please ..

Avoid 5.7, 6.7 and 7.7 it's currently the biggest dead zone for german tanks in my opinion, 5.7 germany cant deal with the heavy 6.7 t29 series tanks, 6.7 gets heat fs spammed and 7.7 has about 2 normal br tanks and usually a full team of 6.7 allies
Coming back to this video after update 1.93 is oh so very sad. This is the last video in which the Maus was mentioned, and now Gaijin doesn't even want to recognize that it was in the game. The change to the name of the Sturmpanzer 2 is also a sad sight. Just doesn't roll off the tounge as well now. We shall forever remember those lost to 1.91, and never forget the name of the Sturmpanzer 2. May they rest in peace.
Except that the Pz. III J at 2.3 is basically a low rank Tiger. 50mm armor doesn't seem like much untill you angle it, then suddendly 80% of the guns can't pen your front armor anymore. It also has superior firepower with APCR having more than 1000m/s at 2.3 making it very easy to score hits. And with almost all low rank tanks being light tanks with few crews, one hit with APCR is generally enough to take out a tank. It also has 5 crews while most other tanks have 3-4 at best, giving it much better survivability.
@@Damian-03x3 And why? Theres no reason to use APC unless you are at close range. APCR can penetrate any tank, is easier to aim and deals enough damage to cripple or kill low tier tanks in one hit.
APC has explosives in it so you'll easly one shot enemy. With APCR you need to be really precise to make sure that enemy won't shoot back at you or hide behind cover. APC is really good for side shoots and close-medium range and shooting at long distances gives your position away and is not really worth it unless enemy is in the open or if you're playing arcade.

@@admiralkipper4540 Yea, russian APHEBC shell has unreal normalization. 85 APHEBC can go through jumbo upper plate much more reliable than short 88, even though it has less pen at all angle at any range.
@@-APTX Thats actually realistic. The 85mm has better ballistic properties. Despite it having lower 0° pen, the 85mm shell has superior 60° penetration compared to the 88mm APCBC shell. Of course that doesn't mean that the slope modifiers for Soviet guns are correct. There are many instances where these shell overperform but in others they underperform. The 100mm gun for example should be able to penetrate the front of a Panther II quite easily but it can't do that in-game. It should also be able to penetrate the front of a Panther from more than 2km. On the other hand should the Soviet 76mm guns not be able to penetrate the front of a T-34 or Sherman, yet they can do that even at long range. The 85mm gun shouldn't be able to penetrate the armor of the Jumbo that easily. It should barely be able to penetrate the armor (as seen with the M26) but the layered armor on the Jumbo screws up the armor calculation and allows the 85mm to penetrate. Slope modifiers in-game are overal wrong because you can't determine the slope performance based on the 0° penetration. Low tier guns generally penetrate too much sloped armor while high powered guns penetrate too little or have correct performance.

That’s the one thing I noticed, the Germans don’t have any light vehicles with decent firepower. I would pay for a premium light tank like a captured BT7 or M22. It doesn’t necessarily have to be historically accurate, but it just evens out gameplay.
Its very hard to increase or decrease battle rating on some tanks because its very complex for many reasons, but think you should definately consider battle rating tolerance for matches to 0.7 if possible

I mean it's a Gaijin Video, you could expect them to know how to pronounce the tank.

you really have to balance t34s vs Panzer 3 and 4. I sometimes have encounters where i score 10+ critical hits vs a t34 and cant even get it to stop, before I explode by the first round fired back.. T34 are overpowered AF.
On a T34 you really have to aim for weak spots like the ring or cheeks on the turret. Most of the time you can’t pen the front plate with the Panzer 4 F2 without some good angle. Meanwhile the pea shooter that the T34 has can still pen the shitty armor that the Panzer 4 has. Also, the fuel tanks always absorb shots for some reason.
Im not tryna bomb all your fun, but the pz.kpfw 3 has a huge weakspot and I get pissed everytime I play that tank because out of all places, the weak spot is right in the middle of the front...

I remember looking forward to the ground vehicles, anticipating the german panzers would be somehow imba, similar to real life. Gaijin, being the russians they are, just raised their BR to a level it's no fun anymore. '45 Tigers vs. cold war tanks, how badly do you want to frustrate the fans??
So I started playing the soviets out of curiosity & it felt like a campaign you could rush through in no time with all that easy XP to gain...
That’s SO true. I felt like German tanks became a murderous grind after the first Tiger. I’m at the Tiger II and Rus tanks just always clean house. Switch to my Rus or American tree and it’s like playing on easy.

Please fix the panther G mantlet : the lower part definitly shouln't be 100 mm , you need to cut the mantlet in two part and to add realistic armor values to the lower part , because while this thing was a clear upgrade in real life , in war thunder it's worse than before because it has the same armor value as the other not upgraded panthers mantlets and it's now FLAT . It must have real values ..fix this please ..

Avoid 5.7, 6.7 and 7.7 it's currently the biggest dead zone for german tanks in my opinion, 5.7 germany cant deal with the heavy 6.7 t29 series tanks, 6.7 gets heat fs spammed and 7.7 has about 2 normal br tanks and usually a full team of 6.7 allies
5.7 is amazing if you use the Panthers on uptiers
6.7 is fantastic the tiger 2s destroy I got 15 kills as my highest kill game
And it's only going to get easier with the removal of four tanks!

Coming back to this video after update 1.93 is oh so very sad. This is the last video in which the Maus was mentioned, and now Gaijin doesn't even want to recognize that it was in the game. The change to the name of the Sturmpanzer 2 is also a sad sight. Just doesn't roll off the tounge as well now. Except that the Pz. III J at 2.3 is basically a low rank Tiger. 50mm armor doesn't seem like much untill you angle it, then suddendly 80% of the guns can't pen your front armor anymore. It also has superior firepower with APCR having more than 1000m/s at 2.3 making it very easy to score hits. And with almost all low rank tanks being light tanks with few crews, one hit with APCR is generally enough to take out a tank. It also has 5 crews while most other tanks have 3-4 at best, giving it much better survivability.
No one should use APCR at that rank, unless they have to.
@@Damian-03x3 And why? Theres no reason to use APC unless you are at close range. APCR can penetrate any tank, is easier to aim and deals enough damage to cripple or kill low tier tanks in one hit.
APC has explosives in it so you'll easly one shot enemy. With APCR you need to be really precise to make sure that enemy won't shoot back at you or hide behind cover. APC is really good for side shoots and close-medium range and shooting at long distances gives your position away and is not really worth it unless enemy is in the open or if you're playing arcade.

85 APHEBC can go through jumbo upper plate much more reliable than short 88, even though it has less pen at all angle at any range.

@@-APTX Thats actually realistic. The 85mm has better ballistic properties. Despite it having lower 0° pen, the 85mm shell has superior 60° penetration compared to the 88mm APCBC shell. Of course that doesn't mean that the slope modifiers for Soviet guns are correct.
There are many instances where these shell overperform but in others they underperform. The 100mm gun for example should be able to penetrate the front of a Panther II quite easily but it can't do that in-game. It should also be able to penetrate the front of a Panther from more than 2km.
On the other hand should the Soviet 76mm guns not be able to penetrate the front of a T-34 or Sherman, yet they can do that even at long range.
The 85mm gun shouldn't be able to penetrate the armor of the Jumbo that easily. It should barely be able to penetrate the armor (as seen with the M26) but the layered armor on the Jumbo screws up the armor calculation and allows the 85mm to penetrate.
Slope modifiers in-game are overal wrong because you can't determine the slope performance based on the 0° penetration.
Low tier guns generally penetrate too much sloped armor while high powered guns penetrate too little or have correct performance.

That’s the one thing I noticed, the Germans don’t have any light vehicles with decent firepower. I would pay for a premium light tank like a captured BT7 or M22. It doesn’t necessarily have to be historically accurate, but it just evens out gameplay.

Its very hard to increase or decrease battle rating on some tanks because its very complex for many reasons, but think you should definately consider battle rating tolerance for matches to 0.7 if possible

It's not magic to say Yucked-Poncer instead of Jagged-Pants for example, which would be an improvement to pronounce Jagdpanzer at least.

you really have to balance t34s vs Panzer 3 and 4.
I sometimes have encounters where i score 10+ critical hits vs a t34 and cant even get it to stop, before I explode by the first round fired back.. T34 are overpowered AF.
On a T34 you really have to aim for weak spots like the ring or cheeks on the turret. Most of the time you can’t pen the front plate with the Panzer 4 F2 without some good angle. Meanwhile the pea shooter that the T34 has can still pen the shitty armor that the Panzer 4 has. Also, the fuel tanks always absorb shots for some reason.
Im not tryna bomb all your fun, but the pz.kpfw 3 has a huge weakspot and I get pissed everytime I play that tank because out of all places, the weak spot is right in the middle of the front...

My favorite German tank was one I used to hate: The Pz. II C and F variants. I didn't understand how to use them until I learned about the HV rounds.
