The Leo is miles better than the T-54. Also, there are three T-54 variants to grind through, and only one leo 1.

But the Leopard I is much better than T-54. Sure,T-54 has nuke APCBC,but is overall much more sluggish and can't react as fast. And the armour doesn't matter,because anything that Isn't a Tiger II or a T32 can easily penetrate it anyway.
Germany is fun till you hit the 6.7 black hole. Then everything from there and on is just agonizing frustration and pain. Hey 6.7 vs 7.7 is balanced right?
Hyena Hallstrom 6.7 vs 7.7 is definitely easier than 5.7 vs 6.7 becuase only the guns on vehicles at 7.7 become extremely better. The armor becomes weaker and other than certain heavies, the Germans don’t stuggle to penetrate them. 5.7 tanks get outclassed in every aspect when fighting other than maybe mobility in certain trees. IMO only the T-54 tanks give the Germans a run for their money everytime 7.7 comes around against 6.7s. I think the T-54 needs to be 8.0 and the T-44-100, 6.7.
I was suffering from the same problem until suddenly I somehow turned on my internal Zen. The only thing which is kinda annoying is driving Maus or 10.5 cm Tiger through the big map... But on the other hand, you can go and make some tea, while the tank is slowly crawling to its death)
And 7.3 and 7.7 against 8.7 always... ww2 tanks vs post war and 70s tanks. yey

I don't know if someone is reading this but:
Playing the germans it is very difficult at rank 5. You can't play against cold war vehicles in a Tiger II. At the BR 7.7 you only have the Leopard 1 and the M48A2 G A2, if you played the tank destroyers maybe the Jagdpanzer 4-5, but there are missing tanks. There is a huge gab between rank 4 and rank 5, to make this BR enjoyable.
Please add some tanks for the Vaterland. AND GIVE US SOME TANKS OF THE E-REIHE

A moving angled Tiger can even deflect IS2, Centurion and Super Persing shots. However, it's far more devastating as a sniper

I remember looking forward to the ground vehicles, anticipating the german panzers would be somehow imba, similar to real life. Gaijin, being the russians they are, just raised their BR to a level it's no fun anymore. '45 Tigers vs. cold war tanks, how badly do you want to frustrate the fans??
So I started playing the soviets out of curiosity & it felt like a campaign you could rush through in no time with all that easy XP to gain...
That’s SO true. I felt like German tanks became a murderous grind after the first Tiger. I’m at the Tiger II and Rus tanks just always clean house. Switch to my Rus or American tree and it’s like playing on easy.

No, it would make Russian players cry until its changed when they don't get to fight with their BFF Murica. You know cold war was an era of great frienship. It makes German 5.7-7.3 unplayable and hurts lower and higher BRs but as long as America and Russian combo teams dominate they will sell premiums for those nations

Simply make everyone face everyone (i don't mean mixed teams like ABs, but those battles are pretty much fun everytime, tho) or let the Wehraboo tears flow. This will only lead to more nerfing, like they nerfed British CAS like 2 years ago because of this very same issue (wehraboos crying).

2. Reliability should still be modelled in the game if you don’t like balance
3. The tiger IIs reliability is by design bad, a 70 ton tank with a drive train meant for a 50 ton tank. Don’t get me started on the Maus, shouldn’t even be in the game

No that is Dunkelgelb. It was the standard german tank paint after february 1943. But yeah it needs some green here and there.

Increasing BR wouldn't fix it, just create more problems by having them fight post-war tanks.
Avoid 5.7, 6.7 and 7.7 it's currently the biggest dead zone for german tanks in my opinion, 5.7 germany cant deal with the heavy 6.7 t29 series tanks, 6.7 gets heat fs spammed and 7.7 has about 2 normal br tanks and usually a full team of 6.7 allies
5.7 is amazing if you use the Panthers on uptiers
6.7 is fantastic the tiger 2s destroy I got 15 kills as my highest kill game

Coming back to this video after update 1.93 is oh so very sad. This is the last video in which the Maus was mentioned, and now Gaijin doesn't even want to recognize that it was in the game. The change to the name of the Sturmpanzer 2 is also a sad sight. Just doesn't roll off the tounge as well now. We shall forever remember those lost to 1.91, and never forget the name of the Sturmpanzer 2. May they rest in peace.
I gotta say my favorite tanks are the Tiger II P, Waffentrager, Panther A, and the Pz. IV F2.

The most fun with German tanks is between BR 1.0 and 2.0. I actually love the BR 1.0 Sd.Kfz.221 armored car, with its 20 mm autocannon and up to 80 km per hour top speed, and it looks so much like a Volkswagen Beetle turned into a mini tank! It was actually made by Auto Union, which these days is Audi, part of the Volkswagen group. It has a rear mounted V8 engine and 4 wheel drive. Steers like a mad thing! There's the Jagdpanzer 1 at BR 1.7, and what is more fun than hunting aircraft with a Flakpanzer 1 at BR 1.3? PAK! PAK! PAK! Planes go BOOM! The extremely mobile Flakpanzer 38 is fun too, and then there is the BR 1.0 Panzerkampfwagen 2 C with its rapid fire 20 mm cannon. Until the Italians arrived, these guys were pretty much kings of the hill! I passed a few of these by quickly when I first began to play War Thunder, but rediscovered them recently. I think there are more options at Rank 1 for German ground vehicles than for any other nation. Even now, with the Italians and their rapid reload weapons, and the Japanese Rank 1 tanks packing HEAT, the Germans are still a force to be reckoned with.

My favorite German tank so far is the Panzer 3 F. It is, as you described, a tracked fortress, but if you look at the stats it's got a 79 kmph top speed, and I love using it at slightly higher tiers just for fun

How to enjoy war thunder, delete the German tree and throw out all your knowledge of world war 2 and realism, play US or USSR at higher tiers and sit back and enjoy curb stomping tanks built before 1945 in you Vietnam Era tanks. Nuff said, game seriously needs balancing before I come back

Also, I can confirm that pumas can be fun to play and a pain for the other team. It's funny when your reverse and turn speed is so good that half the enemy team takes five minutes to kill you while you annoy them and your team steal the objectives.

something that has helped me climb the ranks of The German force is using Hitlers Blitz Technique by being fast and powerful i go in take out 9-10 tanks just by fully rushing them. gotta use that light and powerful to the advantage since one blow can take you out
