    • @slacknhash
      @slacknhash 3 года назад +11

      @III Vance It's a bell rung by murderers. Back then you'd find at least one in every town on a market day. That's how they'd let people know they were available for murder. "Bring out yer victims!" they'd say while ringing their murderer's bell. "High class family murderer!" Of course, that was before the eighties when all the murder houses got shut down and all those murderers were out of work. You could still take someone to the supermarket to be murderered, or murder them yourself with a DIY murder kit, but it just wasn't the same. End of an era.
      Of course, the old murdering craft never completely died out, and if you look around you can still find a good while-you-wait murderer. And there are more micromurderies sprouting up all over the country now. It's pricy, but can you really put a price on quality? Some of these mass-market murders are bloody useless. You hardly know they've been murdered afterwards!

    • @DaveDexterMusic
      @DaveDexterMusic 3 года назад +12

      @@slacknhash This is a gross fallacy, and I'm a little embarrassed that you'd bring it up. Lee Titt's films were riddled with historical inaccuracies. A murderer's bell wasn't to announce the presence of a murderer; a common misconception that Titt does nothing to avoid with his lazy research. A murderer's bell is simply a bell used for murdering, often by a murderer but sometimes by a murderer's boy when the murderer is away on other business. I'm available for talks on the subject. Cheques and invites can be sent to PO Box 12,098,044, Ringley Park, Wide Anus, TR17 0DR

      @@dontbefatuousjeffrey2494 I'm proud to say I have no certification on the subject - _my_ knowledge comes from hard graft and experience, not little bits of paper and book learning. Would you accept a seminar survival rate of 73%? My average was sadly diminished when an actual murderer turned up to the last talk and set fire to Ursula Pond, Martha Bertha, Bertha Umlaüt and Murgatroyd Ponsonby, a tragedy over which I had little control but which was admittedly extremely educational. The murderer let me ring his bell afterwards.
