He really does have a distinctive (and amazing) style. First of all it's his impersonations, that sometimes are really mindblowingly good. My second favourite are his commercial (which are also parody impersonations I guess)
Heads or Tails was turned into a real show in 2009 or 2010. Peter does a perfect Chris Tarrant, but doesn't overdo the voice. Even right down to the face he pulls and the way he leans back. He gets everything right including the joke about the unintelligent looking audience.
@@trollop_7 Meaning he's not very frequently on TV, or cast in anything more than bit parts. The Tick was a big break for him. He's known for playing his roles very well, whether it be Shaun of the Dead, the voice of Darth Maul, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But he even said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he couldn't get any work in England. @@YeeHawfinch Well, you claim that these intimate details are unnecessary whilst all at once serving up a feast of new ones. My only concern here is their provenance.
Not only that but he got the mannerisms and the style of the 1950s-type upperclass speech in front of a televised event so accurately I envy this man's talent. Exceptionally well done!
To all who ask the reason why Serafinowicz isn’t in the spotlight more, it is because he is darkly satirical in a way that most mainstream comedy isn’t. It would undermine the establishment if he were able to mock it to the public too much. See also Peter Cook.
They got a shilling and sixpence the wrong way round on the board. A shilling was worth 12d (in decimal currency 5p which is what probably confused the prop maker)
Of course, in the Olden Days the contestant either knew the answer or not. That's the real contrast between then and now; either a) answering the question in two seconds and being told straight away whether they were right or wrong or b) dragging everything out for ten effing minutes. "Join us after the break".
Carvetii Films he meant the old version of the game not the heads/tails one. As the audience chart said most voted for berlin or the other one. Paris had the smallest bar on the chart.
Peter Serafinowicz does do a good Donald Trump impression, but this is Chris Tarrant, although I could see the confusion, what with the hair & all that.
That's a bloody good Chris Tarrant by Peter there.
The way he leans back and says "Claire Taylor... is it heads or tails" is absolutely perfect.
From the thumb nail, I thought he was impersonating Donald Trump. It's the wig.
It's astonishing. He's one of our most gifted mimics
Uncanny Chris Tarrant impression.
The only improvement Peter could make is to introduce each segment with "TAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!"
Serafinowicz is a genius. Not necessarily the single funniest show in the world, but truly unique.
Better than most of the bilge on t v

@Kieth Hutchkiss poor Cole's girlfriend!
Her being ever so slightly pissed off at the 'tails in your tail' joke is gold

@whyemceeay b
I think the worst thing Heads or Talis did is that the actual coin-flipping looked really bad somehow.
they did that awful Red or Black
@whyemceeay I think it was stripped over seven nights.
He did a way better job than Michael Sheen that's for sure
@6:48 The Perry Rogers skit 😂😂 The imagination and the impressions in this show are genius. Top drawer editing on the video 👍🏽
I have no idea how no network didn't pick up this masterpiece for a second season
That was actually pretty good, the vintage who wants to be a millionaire was neat- sick harp sound effects!
I really enjoyed the soothing sounds of Perry Rodgers.
I’m Going To Kill Myself is a timeless classic.
It perfectly encapsulated what music in the time was like. It even could've been text like those, pretty crazy times.
A fine dandy o' a tune there, sir.
@Simon Simon 👀
That Chris Tarrent impersonation is pretty damn good.
I could tell from the cough of the ex-army major in the audience that it was an edge coin.
I bloody love Serafinowicz
Peter's a largely unheralded comedic legend.
How do you know such intimate details?
@@trollop_7 What intimate details? I think he's a brilliant comic talent and he should be more widely known and praised.

The song at 6:52 is gold...
😂
Hahaha, she took 50-50. Genius!
When she says "Fucker" as they go for a break.
The old style footage was done very well tbh. I watch a lot of black and white films, and it seemed very authentic
The upper class / working class interaction was actually really charming I thought.

Beautifully crafted, the waving over of the telegraph taker, the harp incidental music, polished.
Woah its April from Peep Show. Shouldn't she be studying back in Darty?
No it's not, it's Jen's mental friend that hooked up with Richmond in the IT crowd.
Its hard to tell as she always plays the same character

well spotted :)
Good point 👉
I agree , the whole thing should be void
That harp playing is awesome.
3:40 'They don't look like the brightest audience'. Of course there's a guy facing the wrong way
This guy was not on television enough.
Thanks Peter...
Theter.
1:11 ‘or it could be tails’ was fucking spot on
Paul Putner is great in this. Reminds of John Mills in Hobsons Choice.
He's a talented voice actor
That Chris Tarrant impression is spot on 😂
Catherine Shepherd is great. She should have her own show.
There’s a show called Sally4ever from a few years ago, she plays a lead character in that. But yeah she’s great and should be in more stuff.
I was too young to watch this at the time it aired. Thanks for uploading all this. Xx
Didnt know Sir Anthony Hopkins had a similar show back in the day.
Glad someone else can see that. It's uncanny how alike they are
He's a bit Ralph Fiennes as well

Peter does quite a good Clare Balding!
I would watch the 40s version, pretty nice
That was bloody terrific. Well done old chap. Cheerio's. God save the Queen!

Ah yes, then old "the walls have ears and the doors have eyes" saying.
The air raid siren is the klaxon! That's brilliant!
The BBC should of funded more of this brilliant show...
So spot on.
PS - a comedy GENIUS of epic proportions!!!
Sooo funny, lost count of the times I've watched Peter.
The heads or tails contestant was Mark's dream girl history student in Peep Show.
April.
She also plays alot of female characters in Harry and Paul (along with Big Suze).
Paul Putner is fantastic in this.
I always like when he pops up in these things. Very fun actor.

Catherine Shepard is amazing
She has a memorable face, and an amazing talent for "character comedy". I remember her from the I T Crowd (party scene).
Love Pete🤣👏👏👏
Anyone know the contestant on the black and white show? I see him and Kevin Eldon pop up everywhere in these show. He's very good in this.
Kevin Eldon is the Chris Emmett of his generation, a journeyman performer whose genius is really only recognized by those he works with.
Paul Putner, He was the curious orange in TMWRNJ.
Peter could easily do a spot on Hannibal Lecter impression.
he did make a convincing impression on Sir Anthony Hopkins reacting to the news that Hannibal Lecter was a real person.....

A tough question for tuppence, i was sure it was Silly Town.
Well, tuppence would have you licked then!
She’s Thicko off the Harry Enfield sketch,,she looks even more gorgeous in that.
