After 46 years of driving around 25,000 miles a year I’ve learned none of these idiots are worth it. I’ve found it keeps me calm, is much better for my blood pressure, and avoids incidents likely to lead to road rage and me breaking the law as you did!
Well put - no bozo is worth your time of the day. If you have a job to go to and a home to come back to - none of these bozos will ever enter into my mind and my conscience. Quite rightly said - you went around the roundabout and a junction the wrong way and incriminated yourself - and if the law saw this video and caught up with you - you would be in for a min of £60 fine and 3 penalty points for each offence. Not worth it my friend - be cool - let them cut you up - swallow hard and go your way in peace.
@@wulfhere83 The thinking is thus : If you are a busy man with work to go to and a home to come back to - you don’t have time for bozos. You got in your car to go somewhere and do something - not get a bozo picking punches at you. As mentioned by many on the subject - life is too short to get involved with the love. Yeah you try hard enough and you can always lose them in the end, they haven’t caught me yet and I’ve been chased 8 times now, it’s starting to get boring if anything 😁👍
Having been chased and asked for a fight myself I sympathise, although I have learned these days that it is not worth the risk of someone carrying a knife or something worse, so I just bite my tongue and smile when I (regularly) see shit driving that pisses me off. I've learned that any flash of the lights or honk on the horn can set off a psycho - it's just not worth it, especially if you have a family who depend on you. Annoying to let people get away with bad driving, but at the end of the day it's better than getting you and/or your motor damaged for the sake of giving someone the finger or a flash of the lights
dingbat19 - Sounds like perfectly good advice. Be the bigger man and not allow yourself to be pulled into some halfwits drama Llama hour. Get home safe to those important to you as you are to them.
Grrrr, I do agree with you all, but then we’re letting these halfwits get away with bad driving un-contested. One day their luck will run out and they’ll be in a smash. I guess dashcam and sending the footage to police is an option, but what would they do? Nothing probably, sadly.
I agree, the worst thing you can do is to antagonize an already unhinged driver. To 'give chase' or as this driver did at the start of the video 'keep tabs' with the BMW was silly, they were exceeding the speed limit and in following and keeping up you put yourself and others at risk. Just let them go, they'll make a mistake by themselves without your help but you can report them and give the footage as evidence, as it is this footage show that you effectively taunted them and it wasn't long before their fuse blew and they decided they'd follow you. Far easier to just back of than risk your own footage being used against you.
The sad reality is that there are some real psychos out there driving who would think nothing of stabbing you and leaving you to bleed out on the side of the road if you do nothing more than flash them honk the horn at them. It's just not worth it in my book, as I said, and it would be downright irresponsible of me, as the father of two young kids, to be a vigilante in these situations. Maybe it took me until my 40s to realise this, and I admit when I was in my 20s I might have been more up for a tussle, but older and maybe just a bit wiser, I think differently now. I've seen what losing a parent does to young kids and it just aint worth it. And this is coming from someone who served and is trained in hand-to-hand combat BTW. I still wouldn't take the risk.
I had a very similar series of events just a few weeks ago , was chased for about 4 miles by the driver of a white van , after I came round a bend on a narrow country road to be confronted by him and another car parked , gave a toot before passing and that set him off . On coming into a built up area I slowed to 30mph because of pedestrians and cyclists , was passed and like your guy , this one stopped in middle of road and when I went past he kicked my car , then pursued for another mile or so before turning off . I returned to find he had resumed his clandestine meeting with the same car . I called the police to report it as a road rage incident , an officer came round later to view my front & rear dash cam footage - outcome he is being charged with RTA S2 dangerous driving . Can't say much more as has not yet been to court . Nor can I publish my footage before then .
You were lucky you were able to summon police and they came. In my experience ,your on your own out there! Looks like having both rear and front cameras is paying off. Good job.
Didn’t think there was much wrong with him pulling out . It was tight but fairly normal in rush hour traffic. There’s a lot wrong with the man’s mind though, he must be from the Pickering clan.
Since i started to watch this , i have started school , leftm got my first job ,spent 50 years with the same company , married , had 3 children , 4 grandchildren and 1 great grand child , retired from work and at 134 years old the oldest person ever to live .I just checked the video and it still has 3 minutes left to run .

First mistake and an understandable one was flashing and sounding your horn, much better to mutter 'wanker' under your breath like everybody else. Second mistake, annoying choice of accompanying music. It's truly disturbing that there are people like this on the roads. He was in such a rush he had to pull out on you in the first instance, then clearly had all the time in the world with which to follow you. Psychologically challenged me thinks.
You are right Joe, the light flashing/horn sounding could be deemed confrontational, also there was a game of cat and mouse on the public highway, what if an innocent person was caught up on this?

Sadly, there are quite a few mentally unstable "men" like that on our roads. Having driven buses and coaches on the roads, I learned to just let irritations go straight over my head. He has not learned that! He's one who cannot accept that HE was in the wrong! He isn't a real man.
Always wondered whether there should be a mental health component to the driving test. And having had to outwit similar lunatics myself, I've become convinced that anyone wanting to be in control of something weighing an average of 2.5t, and capable of going over 100mph, should be compelled to pay for a mental health assessment as part of the driving test.
Never understood why people buy a dashcam if your only going to get a front cam? always get both! you clearly caught a guy who was having a really bad day or off his nut on drugs etc but should of called the police a lot sooner than try and shake him off doing dangerous things yourself.

This makes you realise that being angry and impatient whilst driving isn't a good idea, there is always someone angrier and more impatient than you! Well handled by the cammer.
I spent 15 years driving around Chelmsford as a cab driver and a schools driver and I know what 'pricks' there are on those streets. Well done mate, if only I had had a dash cam at the time 👍ps that's Baddow not Chelmsford.
I look at my speed when somebody 'pulls out in front of me' and more often than not, I'm over the speed limit usually by about 5mph so I let it go. How fast were you going when he 'pulled out in front of you' ? If you'd had let it go, it would have saved you a lot of aggravation
1. Reoport him via online police portal for dash cam footage. 2 get a rear cam 3. Turn down as many side roads as you can once he has lost you. If you stay on a long straight road he will find you easily as he did. If he has a licence which i doubt he should ne banned for dangerous driving . Charged with threats and criminal dmg.

It was barely anything. Plenty time to see them pulling out and slow down accordingly if necessary. If I was the dash cam driver I wouldn’t take it personally. Getting wound up is childish. No need to beep the horn or flash the lights. Dash cam driver has too big an ego, all miffed because he had to slow down when it was his own personal space on the road. Its pathetic. Got to agree, there was some driving there that's not "textbook" but given the circumstances I think it was reasonable enough. Certainly not your everyday occurrence.
I feel the guy who pulled out did so safely but the pissed of cam car unnecessarily tooted his horn because they are the retard as well. All the guy in the chasing car wanted to do was educate the other driver about unnecessary tooting of their horn. Short of this a good smack in the head to the tooter would be a good measure.

Yes but most people, I.e those of a stable mind would, at most, flip the bird and carry on with their day. Yoy can't blame the cammer for this bmw guy having the emotional development of a toddler and throwing a tantrum because someone dared beep at him.
Someone did that to me. It was great to watch their reaction as i stepped out my car as well. 6 foot 4 inches and 22 stone and they got back in to their car.
so what happened at 1:35 then? He seems to have parked on the pavement, so I can't see he wanted to block you, did you beep him or shout at him or something? Before that, he'd just disappeared as you said - did you somehow choose to reignite things there? Oh yeah, as well. Like many CAM drivers, you speed up when you deem that someone else has done wrong, for a bit of drama. Maybe he was being aggressive pulling out like that, but maybe he'd been stuck there for ages. It wasn't dangerous, and you would only ever have rear-ended him if you weren't looking, so he threw the responsibility to slow down onto you - he only delayed you reaching the end of a row of cars by 1 second. I'd have just let him merge in.
Yeah thank god someone pointed it out. Yeah, the guy in the beemer was clearly an unemployed knob with temper issues coupled with a few screws loose in his head. But in the case of where the merge started, the Beemer was already half way past the merge. If the self righteous cammer slowed down instead of speeding up a bit (Which was Stupid), the beemer could’ve just merged in happily. Also it dosent help that the cammer also Beeped and flashed the beemer which obviously caused the drama in the first place, knowing the cammer should’ve have anticipated the car coming in at first and slowed down.
Agree. The driving from the camera driver wasn’t great either, weaving on the road to prevent being overtaken and the illegal manoeuvre at the roundabout.
Camera car clearly sped up (bonnet lifts) to initiate this interaction then unhappy when it kicks off! Why not slow a little, let him out with a flash and thumbs up. Everyone carries on with no drama. You tend to reap what you sow.
I had similar happen to me once (I was rude enough to be abiding by a speed limit and the car following narrowly avoided a head on with a truck when he made an ill-advised overtake attempt), I had no choice but to come to a stop at a T-junction with him behind....I managed to pull out about 2 seconds AFTER he took a full swing for my passenger window, sadly for him it didn't break but (from the sound of it) his hand did. Karma is a bitch!

It would be fine if he is afraid for his safety? The other driver showed a lot of aggression wanting him to pull over and possibly beat him. He did call the police which didnt even arrive. So I dont see the wrong in that.
The driver that pulled out it wasn’t worth honking and flashing he didn’t hinder you that much if your get upset every time somebody pulls out get a life
I find it funny how he says he gave a flash and a honk for being impatient when if he himself had been patient he'd have let the guy out with traffic about and being in town. No excuse for the other guy to lose the plot though
This is the most relaxing car chase I've ever watched! It seemed like just a Sunday drive with that music. With no talking, this was like a modern Charlie Chaplin film! I like it. Cool vid.
Big jerk encounters even bigger jerk, makes video. Isn't RUclips wonderful, helps alleviate self esteem issues by making everybody think that they're smart.
I've just watched two impatient and slightly unhinged bell ends, operating machines that people with such a lack of patience should not be operating in a public space.
Honking your horn flashing lights is just to let you know your there. but you could have just eased off! avoid it. anyhow should not provoke this behaviour from either of you. It comes down to acceptance and moving on. The BMW driver following for all that time this is just crazy driving on public roads like that Some people get into a car and become very complacent would it have taken someone to have been killed in order for this to stop.
I've had a similar situation with somebody pulling out in front of me though I didnt flash them. I just had to brake to avoid hitting them. From that point on they were swerving backwards and forwards in front of me and doing emergency stops for no reason. The first opportunity I turned right to get rid of them and they couldn't follow me. I waited about a minute a 100 yards from the turning and then drove back onto the road they were on. I could see there were now about 8 cars ahead of me and they suddenly turned right off the road, I think to try and find me. I went past the turning and never saw them again. Best advice is to turn off and try and lose them. Doubling back behind them worked for me.
The bloke clearly needs locking up in a mental institute - that level of anger is totally inappropriate given the circumstances and I'd be worried about what he'd do if he really had something to be annoyed over.
All of this could have been avoided if when the car pulled out from petrol station you just remain calm and put it down to another inpatient person that can't wait to its clear, as a truck driver I get inpatient drivers all day cutting in front of me
Yeah the guy's a tool, but also this is a great example of failure to de-escalate a conflict. Increases the risk of harm and violence, increases the share of responsibility - the preventing-him-overtaking is dangerous driving! And extremely reckless in a residential area.
It's amazing how these nut cases are always in a rgeat hurry until they start brake checking and chasing people around so they suddenly have lots of time they didn't have before. get brush bars or nudge bars on your car. When they race past and stop in front of you so they can get out and have go, lock your doors, ease up to their car and pour on the power to push their car away in front of you. They'll soon get the message they need to get into their car before you wear out the brake pads on them or their car gets pushed out of the way.
It's hard to outrun anything but a pedestrian with a broken leg if you stay within the speed limit in an urban area. However, it's interesting how the BMW driver was in a hurry until he got angry, then he had all the time in the world.
If you'd have pressed the brake pedal instead of the horn, this whole debacle would have been avoided. You felt personally disrespected when there was nothing personal about it - the guy was going to pull out on whoever happened to be coming, and one day it'll result in a collision. Don't let it be with you :)
Both at fault though. Yes, DC driver should’ve stepped on the brake but the BMW’s action isn’t justified either. Couldn’t wait until the road is clear before turning, got honked at and has time to brake check and follow the DC car everywhere
WTF ?? We have every write to use the horn when someone fucks up . It happens . Most people would wave an apology and all done . This psycho needs removing from the road and indeed from society . One day he will pick on someone who do the removing for him .
Why you would want to use the horn in the first place? He was just entering into the traffic within the first instance. You were at fault for using the horn unnecessarily and you then got a reaction. Silly boy!
its amazing just how wound up people get over something so trivial. this reminds me of the ronnie pickering vid only with less confrontation and more lovely scenery and ambient music
I did not think he pulled out right in front of you,but nevertheless, these sort of people who suffer from road rage and are aggressive, should not be on the road, unless they have counselling,as they are dangerous. There is no such thing as a perfect driver.
I’ve stopped reacting to people who pull out on me or perform stupid acts because of situations like this happening. It’s just not worth it, some people are mentally unstable and will chase you down even if they were in the wrong to start with.
Flashing etc when not right on top of the car pulling out is asking these types of driver to instigate this behavior. This happens all the time drivers pushing in at roundabouts etc let them go. Drive to a Police station that is open or a busy garage forecourt where there is cctv and plenty of witnesses .
Yeah, I only flash from a distance if I was travelling, er, quickly. And usually if the road is clear and someone pulls out on me and slows down I just overtake. Turns their stupid driving back on them.
If you flash and horn someone over their driving, and they pull over, you should have the mettle to approach and communicate your criticism to them verbally.
Part of me is thinking he needs anger management and he's pathetic but part of me is secretly satisfied that you got a scare for being that guy who flashes and gets on the horn.
If I was you I wouldn't have honked him unless there was no car in front of you , in this case there was so you didn't really get slowed down too much and the guy pulling out did it in half descent safety manner ( because of the car who just passed by him going slow already ) You buddy should be thankful you are alive. You don't know what kind of idiot is behind the wheel or what weapons they have. Have a good day 😊
As a class 1 driver I examined the footage carefully. In this day and age we need only use the horn or lights to warn other road users that you are approaching and not as a rebuke. Clearly here the hazard was seen well in advance, giving time to brake as it was clear that this driver was about to emerge. To flash and use the horn afterwards, is a rebuke and can only do to anger the driver. Hopefully this will be a lesson to you for future driving experiences.
That was the purpose of it. The abuse of the horn was the first road-rage incident, which was then escalated into a hazardous situation for other road users.
Spot on. The person being "chased" even sped up when seeing the bmw pulling out. Amazes me how people can't just adjust their speed when they see a hazard. Makes me wonder if a child stepped out would they maintain their speed, increase it...or do the sensible thing and apply some brakes. Class 1 here also👋🏻
I suggest you take the Institute of Motorists Advanced Driving Test. As part of the pre-test instruction, you would be advised not to honk your horn or flash your lights unless it was to warn other road users of your presence (i.e. never to 'tell someone off'). And as far as 'not letting him overtake' by driving all over the road, not only would that fail you on the test, it is probably illegal too. Calm down, drive gently, and when you see other drivers 'doing wrong' (pulling out of sideroads without much thought), simply shrug your shoulders, ease off the throttle, and smile. Too much tension, my friend, not good for you.
I hope he’s seen this and seen what bellend he is 😂 great driving by you every opportunity you managed to duck him. Which probably made him even angrier 😂

All the dash-cam guy had to do was slow down a little, and did not really need to honk or flash. He could see clearly from some distance what the other car was doing, if he was actually watching the road. You don't just drive blithely along a road, you anticipate what other motorists are doing, or might do, and make the necessary allowances/adjustments.
He made a mistake at the beginning, poor judgement and timing. Why even bother tooting and flashing when hes already on the road and driving? Most people would just sigh, back off to leave a safe gap and move on. You continued to catch up to him then made a whole video with edits. You sir are the unstable one. It’s not that deep haha 😂

@@1gerard47 That's not a joke -_-
Why did the police chase you?
Completely agree a quick dab on the brakes no lights flashed , no horn pressed no drama
Toot toot is too much hassle
You were lucky you were able to summon police and they came. In my experience
,your on your own out there! Looks like having both rear and front cameras is paying off. Good job.

It's truly disturbing that there are people like this on the roads. He was in such a rush he had to pull out on you in the first instance, then clearly had all the time in the world with which to follow you. Psychologically challenged me thinks.

If you had time to use your horn and flash your lights ........then there clearly wasn't a problem.
William Wellington RIGHT?

Agree. The driving from the camera driver wasn’t great either, weaving on the road to prevent being overtaken and the illegal manoeuvre at the roundabout.

The battle of too much testosterone and who has the bigger ego.
can’t you just like, wait two seconds and let him merge in? it shouldn’t be an issue if you’re paying attention to the context of the situation
Thank you!
You're trying to explain an extreme overreaction by questioning a trivial action.
That guy shouldn't be walking down the street, let alone drive.
The bloke clearly needs locking up in a mental institute - that level of anger is totally inappropriate given the circumstances and I'd be worried about what he'd do if he really had something to be annoyed over.
Jeez, what a simple bad choice can lead to...
When I seen the driver at the end I thought, no wonder you ran. You knew you were getting battered after pissing him off 😆🤣😂🤣👌🏻
It's amazing how these nut cases are always in a rgeat hurry until they start brake checking and chasing people around so they suddenly have lots of time they didn't have before.
get brush bars or nudge bars on your car. When they race past and stop in front of you so they can get out and have go, lock your doors, ease up to their car and pour on the power to push their car away in front of you. They'll soon get the message they need to get into their car before you wear out the brake pads on them or their car gets pushed out of the way.
If his car couldn't out run a 20 year old BMW I doubt it could push one that's got the handbrake on :P
It's hard to outrun anything but a pedestrian with a broken leg if you stay within the speed limit in an urban area.
However, it's interesting how the BMW driver was in a hurry until he got angry, then he had all the time in the world.
I think he was impatient, not in a hurry, didn't want to wait for traffic to clear to join the road.
If you'd have pressed the brake pedal instead of the horn, this whole debacle would have been avoided. You felt personally disrespected when there was nothing personal about it - the guy was going to pull out on whoever happened to be coming, and one day it'll result in a collision. Don't let it be with you :)
Very, very well said.
Both at fault though. Yes, DC driver should’ve stepped on the brake but the BMW’s action isn’t justified either. Couldn’t wait until the road is clear before turning, got honked at and has time to brake check and follow the DC car everywhere

He had plenty of time to pull out. You speed up and caused that situation regardless of the outcome.
Bang on, the idiot making the film is the reckless one
You started that mate, flashing and beeping. Silly boy.

Bloody hell that music is like playing Bat out of Hell at a nursery
The guy was miles away yet you decided to speed up, honk and aggrevate him, he should have gotten you out your car and vollied you about
Good for you, Rambo!
The guy is clearly a lunatic but this is a stunning display of cowardice from the cammer.
I hope he’s seen this and seen what bellend he is 😂 great driving by you every opportunity you managed to duck him. Which probably made him even angrier 😂
I can't be toying with immature IDIOT'S I have come to realise they aren't worth my time or raising my blood pressure, let them stroll on by like they are in their baby strollers. 👋🤟🤗
Seems like the initial road rage was when you flashed and honked him to trigger the whole thing....why can't we all just get along?
Quite right. "A smile is the shortest distance between two people".
They say that an idiot is born every 30 seconds, they must of made an exception with this "good old BMW driver" who was at fault from the start. Even though this was a few years ago, I hope you past this video to the police as they would have a field day with his driving licence.
Maybe when I'm retired I can finish this.
Most soothing sound track for a nightmare drive home ,,,,,well done for staying in control ,,,,,love n peace Carl
Ever seen the film "Duel"?
Ha, I thought the same.
My favourite film of all time
There’s a level crossing at Wickford. This vids easily long enough to be able to drive there from Chelmsford
