After 46 years of driving around 25,000 miles a year I’ve learned none of these idiots are worth it. I would have cursed under my breath when he pulled out, and smugly reminded myself how much better I am at driving than him. I never flash headlights or sound horn in these situations. I’ve found it keeps me calm, is much better for my blood pressure, and avoids incidents likely to lead to road rage and me breaking the law as you did!

Well put - no bozo is worth your time of the day. If you have a job to go to and a home to come back to - none of these bozos will ever enter into my mind and my conscience. Quite rightly said - you went around the roundabout and a junction the wrong way and incriminated yourself - and if the law saw this video and caught up with you - you would be in for a min of £60 fine and 3 penalty points for each offence. Not worth it my friend - be cool - let them cut you up - swallow hard and go your way in peace.

@@wulfhere83 The thinking is thus : If you are a busy man with work to go to and a home to come back to - you don’t have time for bozos. You got in your car to go somewhere and do something - not get a bozo picking punches at you. As mentioned by many on the subject - life is too short to get involved with the love. If for instance some maniac is coming down the path with a machete - you might as well cross the road and walk on the other side of the pavement. No need to get yourself beheaded because you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Having been chased and asked for a fight myself I sympathise, although I have learned these days that it is not worth the risk of someone carrying a knife or something worse, so I just bite my tongue and smile when I (regularly) see shit driving that pisses me off. I've learned that any flash of the lights or honk on the horn can set off a psycho - it's just not worth it, especially if you have a family who depend on you. Annoying to let people get away with bad driving, but at the end of the day it's better than getting you and/or your motor damaged for the sake of giving someone the finger or a flash of the lights

    • @EzeePosseTV

Grrrr, I do agree with you all, but then we’re letting these halfwits get away with bad driving un-contested. One day their luck will run out and they’ll be in a smash. I guess dashcam and sending the footage to police is an option, but what would they do? Nothing probably, sadly.

    • @dingbat19
      @dingbat19 6 лет назад +19

The sad reality is that there are some real psychos out there driving who would think nothing of stabbing you and leaving you to bleed out on the side of the road if you do nothing more than flash them honk the horn at them. It's just not worth it in my book, as I said, and it would be downright irresponsible of me, as the father of two young kids, to be a vigilante in these situations. Maybe it took me until my 40s to realise this, and I admit when I was in my 20s I might have been more up for a tussle, but older and maybe just a bit wiser, I think differently now. I've seen what losing a parent does to young kids and it just aint worth it. And this is coming from someone who served and is trained in hand-to-hand combat BTW. I still wouldn't take the risk.

The OP brought everything that happened upon himself.

And having had to outwit similar lunatics myself, I've become convinced that anyone wanting to be in control of something weighing an average of 2.5t, and capable of going over 100mph, should be compelled to pay for a mental health assessment as part of the driving test.

I had a very similar series of events just a few weeks ago , was chased for about 4 miles by the driver of a white van , after I came round a bend on a narrow country road to be confronted by him and another car parked , gave a toot before passing and that set him off . On coming into a built up area I slowed to 30mph because of pedestrians and cyclists , was passed and like your guy , this one stopped in middle of road and when I went past he kicked my car , then pursued for another mile or so before turning off . I returned to find he had resumed his clandestine meeting with the same car .
I called the police to report it as a road rage incident , an officer came round later to view my front & rear dash cam footage - outcome he is being charged with RTA S2 dangerous driving . Can't say much more as has not yet been to court . Nor can I publish my footage before then .

It was barely anything. Plenty time to see them pulling out and slow down accordingly if necessary. If I was the dash cam driver I wouldn’t take it personally. Getting wound up is childish. No need to beep the horn or flash the lights. Dash cam driver has too big an ego, all miffed because he had to slow down when it was his own personal space on the road. Its pathetic. Too many people like that who need anger management counselling.

As a class 1 driver I examined the footage carefully. In this day and age we need only use the horn or lights to warn other road users that you are approaching and not as a rebuke. Clearly here the hazard was seen well in advance, giving time to brake as it was clear that this driver was about to emerge. To flash and use the horn afterwards, is a rebuke and can only do to anger the driver. Hopefully this will be a lesson to you for future driving experiences.

Oh yeah, as well. Like many CAM drivers, you speed up when you deem that someone else has done wrong, for a bit of drama. Maybe he was being aggressive pulling out like that, but maybe he'd been stuck there for ages. It wasn't dangerous, and you would only ever have rear-ended him if you weren't looking, so he threw the responsibility to slow down onto you - he only delayed you reaching the end of a row of cars by 1 second. I'd have just let him merge in.

Yeah, the guy in the beemer was clearly an unemployed knob with temper issues coupled with a few screws loose in his head. But in the case of where the merge started, the Beemer was already half way past the merge. If the self righteous cammer slowed down instead of speeding up a bit (Which was Stupid), the beemer could’ve just merged in happily. Also it dosent help that the cammer also Beeped and flashed the beemer which obviously caused the drama in the first place, knowing the cammer should’ve have anticipated the car coming in at first and slowed down.

You actually appeared to speed up rather than slow down which would have been the correct courteous thing to do. You sped up and honked. That would annoy most normal drivers. What really pissed him off was you accelerated to right up close on his tail trying to imply that you didn't have time enough to slow down. Then you left the lights on.He wanted to challenge your road rage by stopping and talking to you, but you almost knocked his door off. Then you slow down well below the limit purely to wind him up some more, then every time he pulled out to overtake you swerve out in the middle of the road, preventing him. Then he gets angry... surprise surprise. The BMW driver has a dash-cam he could put it on RUclips we would see that there is only one person driving dangerously --- you

Appalling driving, you should both face a ban.

Part of me is thinking he needs anger management and he's pathetic but part of me is secretly satisfied that you got a scare for being that guy who flashes and gets on the horn.

In that situation I would have noticed the BMW edging out and with traffic coming down on the other side I would have slowed down a bit. That's all

Still doesn't justify that behaviour. Driving like a mad man

@@Filippenzen413 I agree with that but the whole beebing the horn and flashing the lights like a mad man just caused all of that.

It looks like there was plenty of room for him to join the traffic in front of you, you don't own the road. Its called letting the traffic flow, everyone is trying to get somewhere. You sir caused this madness.

Flashing etc when not right on top of the car pulling out is asking these types of driver to instigate this behavior. This happens all the time drivers pushing in at roundabouts etc let them go.
Drive to a Police station that is open or a busy garage forecourt where there is cctv and plenty of witnesses .

Yeah, I only flash from a distance if I was travelling, er, quickly. And usually if the road is clear and someone pulls out on me and slows down I just overtake. Turns their stupid driving back on them.

Nothing wrong with him pulling out of the garage, you sped up! We can see the front of your bonnet lift. He’s a huge prick, without doubt, but you’re not blameless.

Why are people acting like nothing happened. It was a relatively eventful video

From that footage all I can see is the dash cam driver driving down the middle of the road swerving in and out, taking junctions on the wrong side, running along a pavement with a pedestrian near by, Going round a roundabout the wrong way ie doing a u turn on it. Yes he did try and cut you up at a junction but by then it could be said by a half decent lawyer that your driving drove him to it. And there's no excuse for that sound track whatsoever.

The BMW driver should lose his licence for being emotionally unstable behind the wheel, however there was no need to flash and beep when he pulled out, if you had been driving slower and been less of a prick yourself then none of this would have happened.

I did not think he pulled out right in front of you,but nevertheless, these sort of people who suffer from road rage and are aggressive, should not be on the road, unless they have counselling,as they are dangerous. There is no such thing as a perfect driver.
