Some essentials for me are thin black or white turtle neck shirts for layering, choker necklace, hoop earrings, black denim shorts, black wide brim boater hat, red Dickies shirt dress from the mid 2000s, and an army green utility jacket.
ALL the items listed here have been the staple basics of alt fashion since waaayy before 2010. It's interesting how alt fashion works the same way as "regular fashion" in terms of having their own trends and timeless pieces. I still keep almost all of these in my wardrobe.
