This is actually a family squabble. The youngest daughter doesn't want to be married. The oldest daughter is married and thinks the younger daughter need to grow up. The third lady is the Mother taking the side of the oldest daughter and trying to teach the younger daughter that happiness can be found at home.
Celtic Woman is iconic. Their studio recordings are amazing but a HUGE part of their appeal is the acting and dancing, so live is the way to go for any first time listen. "The Sky & The Dawn & The Sun" and "The Call" are some of my absolute favorites they've done
Lisa Lambe, the red head, sat on my lap one time. They started this song and I was purposely sitting in the aisle seat. As she was walking by me I slapped my knee, she took a half step past me, turned around and sat on my knee while she sang a few lines. 😬
The members of this group have changed over the years, but they've all been incredibly talented and beautiful. I especially love their Christmas shows.
Appreciate the reaction .... Celtic Woman ..... always absolutely AMAZING. I'm Irish, born and raised ..... they are dear to me!! Máiréad Nesbitt, the MOST beautiful violinist EVER!!!! Her grace and talent, beyond, reality! I've seen River Dance, Lord of the Dance, AND Celtic Woman all live several times ........ amazing nights!
This was wonderful! I have no Irish heritage, but my husband is 1/2 Irish, and my daughter did Irish step-dancing for about 7 years growing up, so I was introduced to the culture through that. These performances are so captivating!
I went to see them that year at Radio City Music Hall. What a fantastic concert, I first saw them on PBS and theve done many more PBS specials since them. As you can see its a very theatrical show, The guy on piano does all the arranging. If you would really like to hear more let me know and Ill request it. hey cover most any kind of music Their version of you raise me up will give you chills
When you give yourself something different a chance, you maybe surprise yourself. Cause if you don't you may loose out on music like this. Glad you liked it😊
Saw them twice at the Fox in Atlanta. Mairead Nesbitt is the soul of music in motion and just incredible live. Graceful and literally leaping while shredding on the violin. Good pick.
The beginning of this song, Chloé and Lisa were doing an irish form of mouth music, commonly known in the states as scatting which is linked to jazz music.
I knew my grandfather was Irish. Always loved Thin Lizzy. But not brought up with the culture, being Scottish. Did a dna test turns out I’m very Irish and Scandanavian and Finnish. Burst into tears when I saw this. Hit a nerve! Checkout Dolores Riordon and Sinead O’Connor. You prob already have.
The women are speaking the original ancient language of the Celtic people which is still being spoken today in Scotland. The language Is "Gaelic." A Celtic language spoken mainly in the highlands and islands of western Scotland. It was brought from Ireland in the 5th and 6th centuries AD. "these Scots speak Gaelic in addition to English" the underground world music band "The Dead Can Dance" brought the sound and language "Gaelic" to the public in the late 80's and many other music bands and group like The Celtic Women continued to bring this beautiful ancient music and dance back to the public. It is Amazing to experience it in concert....I know I have experience it!!!
The Irish Gaeilge language is still spoken in Ireland today, it is taught in schools, we have both a Gaeilge t.v. channel and radio channel in Ireland. Our national t.v. channel also broadcasts news in Gaeilge language and our roads signs are in Gaeilge and English. I live in Galway City in the West of Ireland and our native language is spoken fluently. The Celtic women group sing a lot of ancient songs in the Gaeilge language many that are hundreds of years old.
Nice! I seen you react to sinead o'connor nothing compares to you, but another one of hers that you may like is Foggy Dew. The Dubliners are also another Irish band worth checking out!
You should react to something by The Goddesses of the Bagpipes; I would recommend their medley of "Shipping up to Boston"/"Enter Sandman". I'd also love to see you react to some hurdy-gurdy pieces such as "Break Your Crank" by Guilhem Desq or "The Longing" by Patty Gurdy.
This doesn't sound live to me for some reason. I highly recommend Jim McCann - Grace (with backstory). Do you know anything about Irish history, specifically the 1916 Easter Rising?
If you want to hear the best female Irish singers, listen to Lisa O'Neill, Loah, Lisa Hannigan and Radie Peat. They are all solo artists but a couple of them sometimes do duos. Lisa Hannigan and Loah have a video called Undertow, a song Lisa wrote, it's on RUclips. It will knock you over backwards. These women have true Irish spirit and are way more talented than Celtic Woman.
Their version of amazing grace is THE best version, in my opinion. Also, ave Maria by Chloe Agnew is amazing. Bridge over trouble water by Lisa Lambe, the official version, is awesome too. If you are going to see them live, don’t see them until bring back one or two more of the original singers. These new singers(not including Chloe Agnew) are terrible and their song choices are terrible
I love Celtic music, but really don't like Celtic Woman. They are too commercialized, too slick, the soul has been removed. Listen to Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, Cherish The Ladies, The Corrs, The Chieftains, Maire Brennan, Enya, and so many others that are far better than this Americanized "Disney" version of Celtic music.

Wow 😊
The members of this group have changed over the years, but they've all been incredibly talented and beautiful. I especially love their Christmas shows.
These women are incredibly talented. You would likely enjoy Celtic Thunder as well - the male counterpart to Celtic Women
I was just coming to say he needs to check them out. I've been lucky enough to see them three times. Absolutely fantastic!
Also, The High Kings.

Celtic Woman rules!
This was wonderful! I have no Irish heritage, but my husband is 1/2 Irish, and my daughter did Irish step-dancing for about 7 years growing up, so I was introduced to the culture through that. These performances are so captivating!
They are so much fun seeing live. Beautiful voices and eclectic music.
These women are still around their so good
They are.
They put on a fantastic show.

Salvog, go see them in concert! My sister and I went a few years ago and it was amazing!
Beautiful! I would go to this concert too!
When you give yourself something different a chance, you maybe surprise yourself. Cause if you don't you may loose out on music like this. Glad you liked it😊

Knowing that you enjoy and appreciate Celtic music, you MUST check out Loreena McKennitt - she’s beyond amazing‼️
Completely agree. Start with "The Mystic's Dream" - it's been in several movies and may be familiar to you.❤
Celtics Thunder is the males. I've seen them live! They are fantastic! Give them a listen too😊❤
Mairead Nesbitt. 🎻 💃
She's all you need!!
The beginning of this song, Chloé and Lisa were doing an irish form of mouth music, commonly known in the states as scatting which is linked to jazz music.
You need to check out more of their music, they use a lot of traditional instruments throughout their shows
I suggest listening to the following Irish war song. It's in Irish, another Gaelic language- Óró, sé do bheatha 'bhaile. It's on RUclips
They are phenomenal. I've seen them in concert about 4 times. You should check out Danny Boy or Amazing Grace.
Uplifting 😊

They're not speaking Scots Gaelic, they are speaking Gaeilge (Irish). Similar but not the same language

this needs to be an irish disney princess movie
Clannad did a very good Irish version
If you ever visit Celtic Woman again, I would highly recommend a few: Dulaman, Ni sel la, and tir na nog. Those are some of my faves!!
awesome! lol good pick.
Dia dhuit as Éireann ☘️🇮🇪☘️ hello from Ireland. Check out Seo linn singing Óró sé do bhaithe bhaile and Cara Dillon singing Jimmy mo mhaola stór
Mo Mhíle stór *
Jimmy mo mhíle stór *

BTW that first part was Galic I believe .. just because you didn't know teh words doesn;t mean they weren't
Slainte Salvo ☘️🇺🇲
This doesn't sound live to me for some reason.
I highly recommend Jim McCann - Grace (with backstory). Do you know anything about Irish history, specifically the 1916 Easter Rising?
The initial language is in Irish ☘️
Could you possibly acknowledge my past requests. Thanks
Babs from Scotland Scotland 😅
You should listen to "Smetana: Má Vlast, No. 2. Vltava (River Moldau) - Daniel Barenboim, Wiener Philharmoniker" :)
Nope. It's about a lady hanging out with Pirates and her becoming one.
Celtic woman is a fantastic group first time hearing this Is not they one 😅
Try some Loreena McKennit - try Mummer's Dance first or Mystic's Dream
Try Mary black next
Clannad

Wonderful singers and performers, but they tend to 'dilute' Irish to English (understandably enough).
Listen to Sinead
Clan bad does a better version

I agree. I've learned to listen to them at a different level, though, because they are definitely talented.
React to videos from 2005-2007.
