Have you guys tried to get Chappell Roan on ? As an avid BCC listener/lover and Chappell Roan fan I think the three of you would have really interesting discourse regardless of topic
I've had the opposite happen once where I used a goofy British accent to introduce myself to a friend once, he thought I was from England for several hours after that until he heard me spoke again more clearly and heard the Oregonian accent lmao
I feel like my mom 😭 I’m like “why would you make Pooh Bear scary” Tigger being a perv talking about neon underwear. Enjoy it if you like it, but my heart can’t handle this atm lol
if you want cinema reactions in the UK you need to go to somewhere like Peckham in London, don't go to posh areas or watch a film in the countryside. You'll get a lot more reactions in areas where ppl aren't as uptight or reserved
TBH I loved both movies, but people seem to think that both movies should redefine horror the way Scream, Nightmare on elm Street, Friday the 13th or the exorcist.
I didn’t see anyone mention it but the show they propose at around 40:14 is literally just the plot of the movie version of The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger
My gf and I watched the first Blood and Honey movie because it seemed kinda fun and the trailer looked... intriguing. We found it uncomfortably sexual and really distasteful. The acting and writing was bad. I'm not sure what it says about these guys that they conceptualized and executed it all. It seemed like a wannabe snuff film. If you wanna make kid stories into horror, go ahead. I think it's an overdone idea at this point, but hey, if that's what you wanna make. I really don't see the need to have turned it into a weird bondage/sex-captive situation. It seemed like they did it just to show the actresses half naked on screen. As characters and as actresses they seemed so objectified, it seemed like they used their nudity as a money grab. Like "hey come see our movie there's 2 minutes worth of boobs in it!!" There's never been a movie that made me that level of uncomfortable before, and I'm a fan of horror and slasher films. It's been a while since we've watched it, but there were other things that rubbed us the wrong was throughout the movie. I think it was the guys with the truck at the end of the film being american when everyone else was british? Just one example but the whole movie just felt rushed and not really thought out or planned. It seemed like they got the idea for and wanted to film the weird gore/borderline sex scenes and just filmed as little else as possible to make it all work together as a movie.
I wasn't a fan of the first film but as far as the sex/nudity stuff goes, I think it was supposed to be similar to 70's B-horror. One of the guys mention Roger Corman and you can totally see that influence. Obviously that's not everyone's taste and it's valid not to like it, but yeah, that is a subtype of horror film and I don't think it's terrible to want to emulate that. Plus there are stuff like Last House on The Left that are infinitely grosser imo
@@winnpls I was reply to the main poster - sorry! Have no idea what they are even talking about. It’s a generic horror featuring girls in a cabin. No sex is in the movie, it’s a horror so girls die. This is being twisted by the main poster. The director himself is gay also
This may be a rude ask but please no more (straight?) men on the pod- all they do is take up my bcc club time and I don’t want to hear it I want to hear my favorite lesbians talk about about random things (I’m joking but also serious lmao) it just seemed they talked a lot more than Sarah and Kendall
@@josephstjohn5840 ok well the guests just talked 90% of the episode and the podcast is usually just the two of them talking so it just wasn’t the usual content I enjoy
