    to kendahl's point about cps and not seeing abuse, my step mom had been emotionally abusing me from ages 8-15, until i left the home by myself to get away. cps had been to my house sometime in that period and because they couldn't see any signs of physical abuse, they sent me to a psych ward for my self harm and made me feel crazy :D

      i finally had enough when i was 15 and started staying with my aunt and uncle (same city). my mother called the cops and when I explained the years and years of abuse, they basically said, "that's not our problem. go to your mother." I refused and they basically noped out. They actually just didnt give a flying fuck.

      I went through the same. Mostly emotional/mental abuse but things got a lot more physical after i turned 14. Even with marks CPS said it was clear i was a “troubled child looking for attention”. I ended up getting locked in a mental hospital for almost a week. Which did nothing as they wouldnt even entertain the idea that mother would hit me and threatened to keep me longer if i kept crying.

    Kendahl, I know you just said you couldn't handle another problem, but having a period that only last two days with symptoms that extreme is not okay to experience and not normal! You really should go to see a doctor about that, because you shouldn't have to suffer through your period

    • @lyna7038
      @lyna7038 5 месяцев назад +5

      Some people just suffer though and there is nothing wrong it is just cramps 😭 my mom has struggled with painful cramps for years and years and there is no reason for it

    • @oliviapeachy
      @oliviapeachy 5 месяцев назад +6

      It really sucks being a woman because you know something is wrong but the doctors will tell you the pain you’re feeling is normal and all tests will come back normal . It should be an easy process but it usually never is and you end up having to go down a rabbit hole to diagnose yourself and request specific tests even tho that’s literally the doctor’s job (personal experience) 😢 So, maybe that’s why she is so hesitant. The medical field rlly doesn’t care about women 🙁

      ^^ totally!
      I know this is NOT a one size fits all solution, but birth control (hormonal IUD specifically) has improved my PMDD SO MUCH.
      I also have a bazillion issues with my health, and actually chipping away at the PMDD improved everything else a little.
      Esp as someone who also has intense ADHD symptoms like Kendahl, it made those way more manageable during my menstruation/pre-menstruation time too.

    I'm going to be honest guys it's kinda wild to say you're going to avoid the word "crazy" but diagnose people with narcissism and narcissistic tendencies left and right 😭 like that's way more stigmatizing than using the word crazy

      @caitlynwinkler4189 5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you!! Genuinely love these two & I think they would care about getting this right. Personality disorders are so stigmatized already, the last thing that needs to happen is for everyone to diagnose every bad person as a narcissist.

    Not that everybody is the same but my mom was heavily physically and mentally abusive to me from literally my earliest memories until the day she left our family, then like 6 months after she leaves i get in a mentally abusive relationship for 8 years and i still sometimes question myself sometimes was that really that bad? Maybe im just sensitive, maybe they are right, ect and I defend my ex until pretty recently and ive been away from him for almost 5 years. I find it really fucking hard to believe that she was under jodies spell and just broke out of it in 3 months? I really think that they are both just evil and could see it in eachother. Frankie was doing the withholding food/ basic necessities and all this other abusive tjings before jodie. You could use the journal as a she really thought she was doing something right defense OR she could just be ficking evil and wrote that shit down to look back on and admire, like a trophy in some ways? Idk just my opinion.

    • @chuu099
      @chuu099 5 месяцев назад +1

      First of all, I’m really sorry this happened to you and I hope you’re doing well🫶🏻
      Second of all, I do think Ruby and Jodi are both have a lot of issues and are both evil in their own ways. I mean, we know about Jodi’s extreme abuse on her niece and we know some of the things Ruby did to her kids (during the 8passengers days and pre ConneXions). But I honestly think the abuse would not have gotten to this point if Jodi didn’t get involved. I feel like Jodi was the main cause of Ruby thinking R & E were possessed and probably told her their behaviour meant they were possessed and that she had to do certain things for the demon to “go away”, which then led to the abuse we know about. I feel like if it ever got physical (I’ll take exemples from what she did while at Jodi’s) maybe instead of making them weed a cemetery barefoot for a whole day it would’ve been idk 30min-1h or instead of having them walking up and down the stairs all day while carrying heavy boxes it would’ve been only a couple times.
      I also want to clarify that I’m in no way defending Ruby. I don’t agree with anything she did and I’m not excusing the behaviour that “could’ve happened” if Jodi hadn’t got involved. I do think Ruby would’ve been capable of being even more abusive to her kids even without Jodi, but I also think Jodi played some sort of mind games on Ruby which led to her completely believing the kids were possessed and that she was doing what had to be done to “free” them.
      +if Jodi never got involved, they would very likely still be living in together in their house and things would definitely be different.

    Kendahl saying she feels like she'd go to heaven because she has good intentions in everything she does reminds me of how my church growing up really emphasized that good deeds dont get you into heaven. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" so to speak. We were taught the only thing getting you into Heaven is accepting jesus in your heart and recruiting others into evangelicalism. Always confused me as a kid to be taught to be a good person but that it wasnt getting you into heaven.

    There’s soo much more to this story. Apparently the dad didn’t even ask about the kids at first, the police told him they were hurt and he barely reacted to it. I’m pretty sure Ruby was abosive to her kids before all of this, one of her daughters tried to get custody of the other kids. Clearly something hasn’t been right. Did it escalate/worsen after Jodie came in the picture? Probably, but these adults all suck. The dad too, who just left and didn’t try to check on his kids. (As far as I’m understanding with what I’ve seen and read so far). There’s a huge reddit thread on a lot of this, including stuff from the diary etc. Videos of the arrest ++

    I hope ruby doesn’t get off easy because she claims insanity or psychosis.
    And tbh her career was showing her life, so if she genuinely thought what she was doing was so right, why did she know not to show the world?
    And like you guys said that may not mean rot in prison for ever, but no contact with any children for x amount of years, no contact with any of her children until they are at least 18 or until they reach out, several years in a mental hospital or prison with intense mental health treatment etc.
    I hope she doesn’t get one year & then is free to go do whatever she wants.

    I had a similar situation with Hawaiian airlines. Their customer service kept telling me different things regarding a $600 credit that I had. To the point where I started recording my calls with them and screenshotting chat messages. Finally I reached out to their customer service, explained what happened, sent the voice recordings of my call and chat histories. Within minutes I received a generic reply that simply said sorry your credit is no longer valid. I completely saw red and went full Karen…reached out to the department of transportation, specifically the Aviation Consumer Protection department. 🤭🤭 Filed a complaint. And a few months later Hawaiian airlines emailed me with their tail between their legs apologizing for the inconvenience and restoring my credit like they should’ve done in the first place. 💁🏾‍♀️

    Hey Kendahl, if you’re open/able to try birth control to counter your serious period symptoms, I highly recommend the nuvaring. I got it to use as regular birth control but it made my periods seriously 50 times more tolerable. I found out it’s actually prescribed to treat excessively painful/heavy periods. I get less serious PMS and the cramps are just a little bothersome instead of being excruciating, like laying in the fetal position groaning and dripping with sweat and bleeding through extra large pads in an hour. I used to have periods that bad, and now they are so much more manageable. Even if you dont want to try birth control, it would be good to go see a gynecologist to discuss your symptoms and the best course of treatment. Hope this helps.

    This may sound a bit out of the box but my dietician has put me into ‘seed cycling’ to support my hormones. There are companies that sell the seeds and you just put it on your food. I’m in the UK but there are absolutely US companies that do it.
    I’ve only just started and it apparently takes 3 months to kick in so 🤷‍♀️
