This was so great to listen to after a 2nd day repairing fences. A glass of Ledaig to help relieve the aches and pains. Superb demo and great sounding compressor.
This is an amazing sounding compressor, but my goodness are your demos so good. And, I think it's a perfect marriage to have someone so talented with legato demo a compressor. This compressor sounds better than any other I've heard recently. Thank you for the demo!
This is my first compressor. I just purchased it a week ago. It's incredible. My first Wampler pedal. Incredible sound with just my Strat and Pro Junior amp.
Hi Tom. Great demo. Thats such a great tone. Which leads me to humbly and kindly ask if you could make a tutorial on crafting the signal chain for a great guitar tone? It is still sort of a mystery to me how people do that. Assuming you have all the right gear (guitar (TQMS1 cough cough), amp head, cabinet, etc.), how do you then squeeze the juiciest tone out of the whole thing? I can manage to make a semi-decent sounding one, but I always get the feeling that it's missing something. It'd be very interesting to see how you approach this. Anyhow, thanks in advance for considering it (or not). Cheers!
Thanks a bunch @TomQuayle! Just got this sweet baby in, and can't wait to do an unboxing, and get it on my board asap! Thank you @BrianWampler for this amazing invention :) ...oh and Thank you @TrishStratus :)
Geeze Tom, when I saw the thumbnail for this video, I thought you were Dave Bautista! The Wampler sounds great, very fluid even with low-medium attack times.
Does sound good, and has the right amount of adjustability, but what does it cost? This may often be the single most important thing that should be featured or at least mentioned by the reviewer. I know that wouldn't be so cool for the company tgat makes them, but if a reviewer presents a product the cost should be mentioned rather than swept under the carpet and shunted off to the manufacturer's website. The reviewer could concievably comment on the price as well as mentioning it at all, as in how does it compare to other similarly vslued items, or is it expensive for what you get on it, or is it good value considering the price. I know that as a musician, one often is paid specifically not to mention this and a guitarist has got to eat etc, but if the cost of the item is revealed or commented on, many musicians who watch these videos would feel that their interests are being considered rather than the company's.If this isn't done, I feel that the channels of reviewers will be thought of as only sales reps for the gear makers doing only demo's, rather than reviewers who challenge companies to improve their products in the interests of the end users of their products. I do understand if that's not the deal under which you operate, but you are missing doing the right thing and "voting with your feet" so to speak by setting a standard of product review that the makers will be forced to want to use when your viewing subscribers and watchers grow as a result.( just saying, no insult intended) Beautiful playing will always make me watch and listen anyway, so thanks for that!
Since he's sponsored by Wampler, he might not be allowed to mention the price, but if you haven't already looked it up, they are fairly priced, especially for the quality Wampler puts out. I ordered mine from Sweetwater for $184 shipped. Middle on the price point, but high on the quality and features points, which is perfect for me, but I could understand it being too pricey for someone trying to scrape together money for a pedal. TC-Electronics makes a compressor for $50, JHS has one for $75, and Empress makes one for $300, with the Empress being the only one out of that bunch with similar (slightly more) features. But there's other options. I've been wanting to get an Ego for a while, and when I saw this version came out, it was even better, to my taste. Just waiting on it to be delivered, now.
The playing and your tone is so good, man.

Thank you for the demo!
Yeah this is the best demo i’ve heard of any comp, much less this one.
I love you're playing style so much!
I could listen to you play guitar all day Tom, beautiful playing, awesome pedal too 👍

I'm still wondering if I came here to listen to the pedal or to Tom. Such beautiful playing!
the sound is addictive - beautiful
Great playing and review of the pedal as always , Tom! From 🇯🇵
Great sound and playing Tom! Endless pleasure hearing you play.
Sounds nice. Thank you for demonstrating how you would dial it into a sound you like.
Thanks for all the info. I have had the Ego (based on DynaComp) for some time, but the 76 version I plan to get in the future.
I am amazed by the EGO 76 as much as by your playing!
Oh man, how did I miss this? I have 1 Ego comps, one for each pedalboard! Excited to see this.

Such wonderful playing, Tom 😊
Great sounding compressor, have really liked the standard Ego since its release, but this has a nice addition in the 1176 sounds.
tout sonne avec Tom

solid
The blend makes it like a sidechain then?
Abdolutely!
@@chrisgmurray3622 I love me a good sidechain.
Best setting for easier legatto???
Is the Ego or Ego 76 compressor best for country guitar?
Would love to A/B with Origin Cali76-TX big box, which I have and love. Exemplary playing Tom, as well as your sound. Sub'd.
am I far from truth saying this should work really fine on chains with lots of highs?
Tasty licks ❤

Holy fuck dude
Now go to sleep
@@PaulAzizan I don't get it, are you trying to make a joke or just insult me?
@@maykolllopez1585 What's the matter, can't you be bothered with anyone who has an opinion and expresses it?
