Thanks for the showing DR Pepper method, sounds very good. My ratings: (1) Klark Teknik (2) UAFX 1176 (3) MXR. Klark Teknik sounds really smooth and has good definition, like a pro recording. (although Klark Teknik is not an option for a gigging bassist like me..) The difference between UAFX and MXR is the high end, MXR has smoother high end. I personally prefer UAFX 1176, but it's a big matter of taste. Can't go wrong with either of those two. The Wampler is clipping / farting out in lows, not my taste.
Nice Shootout , I use the Cali Compact and UA 1176 pedal, love them both : Cali adds a lot of colour and UA is the opposite very clear and cutting edge , maybe it's digital nature ....
That bass sounds absolutely wonderful! Great playing and line. Would you mind telling me what model it is, what pickup and what strings (brand, type and gauge)? Thanks!
Thanks! It's a Fender Precision from 1991, made in Japan. The pickups are the stock ones, I think they were using American made pickups back then and the strings I can't remember exactly but they're either Dunlop Super Bright Stainless Steel 40-100 or Elixir Nickel 45-100. That's what I use on most of my basses. Cheers!
Evidemment qu'on veut la version slap ! Merci pour la comparaison.

Hey man, been watching your stuff for a long time. Any chance you'll ever redo some of the old RHCP covers you did a long time ago? Those are some of the best covers out there! Would be cool to see them remade!
The ratio is usually what makes the difference between a compressor and a limiter but in the case of the 1176, it’s both at the same time 😜 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1176_Peak_Limiter
@@DavidCaraccio I have a Keeley GC2 limiting amplifier (using for bass on my pedalboard); it has compression, gain and threshold as controls - no ratio. I am wondering if I should be using a compression pedal instead?

Hej bro !
👏🏻 from Perú 🇵🇪!
Would you be kind and share the bass line tablature?
tip top ! merci pour la video - as tu un groupe qui tourne en suisse en ce moment ?
Plugin has the most bass lift and seems the loudest which makes it seem better
MXR for most uses, UAFX 1176 for grit.
Compressors and limiting amplifiers are not the same, right?

@@larsetom1 the GC-2 is a nice compressor and actually the ratio is set by the knob labeled « compression ».

per me mxr e cali76, tutti e due poco invadenti e naturali
