a friend of mine had a 1983 Countach 5000S that was the Chicago show car. Black with snowcorn interior. On the first day he had it, he replaced the stereo and removed the front wing. It was my first Countach I got to sit in. I loved Joe's car. I wish he kept it. It ended up back east somewhere.
That s the most beautiful car ever, in that color in that setup. I think it is more beautiful than the last version of it. When I watch the movie The Cannonball run, I only watch it because of the countach in it.
When I was in Highschool I was obsessed with the 5000 S and they were going for $80k at the time and no one wanted them. I wish I had the money then. I am so glad to see them getting the love they deserve these days. The Countach is truly one of the most beautiful cars of all time!
@@ismaelcarrillo3956 Not true. I almost bought one in NYC at Manhattan Motorcars in 2001 (a red one with white interior). It was offered for sale at $82K. Sadly, I was too tall to fit in it. Not buying was the worst decision I ever made.
This car will always be the most beautiful car out here. The sound, the design, just the way it radiates perfection to the highest level of cars. I love this car.
kung-fu hustle Shutup bonzo, it’s Italian, we made it and of course it’s beautiful. Look at our country, everything is just beautyful...we took 2600 years (roughly) to build it and every single detail is made to be beautyful.
This car was designed in 1970 by Paolo Stanzani and was styled by Marcello Gandini. They were 35 and 33 years old at the time. No, there were no computers, just head and hands. Italian craftsmanship.
Not only is that car a legend you know the time an effort to keep that black paint job beautiful it's actually cool to see someone get in the car and drive it most people keep them in the garage and never let the monster out
This has got to be the best looking car in the world so says my husband, what he wouldn't give to have that delivered to our door I would love to see the look on his face
I remember when my uncle had one in the 80’s. He never stored it, he put Miles on it & it was serviced a lot!! This car is not meant to be driven like he did. I am pretty sure he sold it with over 48,000 Miles... those rear tires were huge & he always had to order them. Lamboghini never even had those tires in stock. Windshield wiper doesn’t even clear off the drivers side. The car does have some real issues, but it’s still very cool & loud! You felt the speed in this car Nothing like the F 488. Not just the ride of course, just the speed is night & day even though they do pretty much the same speed. Basically like a muscle car to a Import. Both fast but very different.
They actually handle very well on a track there is a video on RUclips (countach on track type) and a famous French Le man driver is giving it the beans in his narration he claims it handles very well, balanced, good mechanical grip, progressive with a beautiful engine, it’s the down draft. You have look in the comments for the translation, as his talking in his tongue and there are no English captions so someone translated it, thank you .
For all those claiming it sounds like a V-8, get your hearing checked. A V-8 would have a slower, less smooth idle with a deeper sound. Also, and this is just basic to cars, EVERY car has a faster/rougher idle when it initially starts up. It takes 30-90 seconds of idle for a car's engine to settle into normal idle. Lastly, the Coutach's engine predates digital engine monitoring systems and is purely mechanical, so it's not going to have the glass-smooth idle of a modern V-12.
I don't care how uncomfortable it is the drive, I don't care how hard it is to maintain, I don't care if you have to open the door to back up... I need dis!
I ran a Graymarket business in fl. 80s &90s I did fuel injection conversions some times on these. The 6 side draft carbs just couldn't pass the hole federal test. Those were great days.
The Legendary Super Car and most popular super car of all time and the most popular bedroom wall poster car. This one had one hell of a performance giving Ferrari a run of their money during the 70's and 80's!
For those questioning the authenticity of this car, yes it's a real Lamborghini Countach. I ran into the owner yesterday at the same event in New York. He assured me it's real and even pointed out an actual kit Countach parked across from him. A walkaround video of this Countach will be released later this year.
@@augustinf the kit ones look totally the same. They had the bodys made in the same factory. Parked side by side you could not tell. If a man i know reconned that a good built kit is a more reliable, useful vehicle than a real one!
@@augustinf a good kit has the badges and everything. Wheels were correct, I said parked side by side. Not looking at engine or inside to see its not what the factory offered.
I have always loved the Countach's. A friend of mine and his family own a hot rod shop and they have a countach body mold. A kit car. Its actually pretty cool
2022 and still......one of the most bad ass cars......ever!!
The car of my dreams when I was a kid. I’m now 46 and it still looks and sounds incredible. 👌
Copy your entire statement but use age 53 🙂.
Copy that statement and say I'm 47.
40 here. Same.
the design was ahead of it's time, in fact it is timeless.
Saw a red one with gold rims driving by us as a kid around 1988....looked like a spaceship and sat so low. Baddest car of all time!
The Countach. An utterly influential masterpiece, far ahead of its time.
@Eddy Teddy May I have a signed copy of your book?
The windows (a sinusoïdale curve) is lower than the line so you can see i.e. sideview.
Without a doubt one of the coolest cars ever made

This Countach is in excellent condition, it's got the best quality paint, beautiful wheels, and chrome letters, my Italian dream sports car.

In 2019 this car looks as sexy as in the 80s. Looking good for an old lady!!!
in my opinion, the most beautiful card Lamborghini has ever built. the only one that comes close is its successor the Diablo.
@Kawasaki whip two: that cos those were the last two models that were made by Lambo before they sold to Audi.
You mean its successor, the Diablo.

Agreed..Countach followed by the SE-30 Diablo..the rest are just soul less after that era.
