Michael Graystone omg i just realized it's the same for me... never met a mean pit (even tho they obviously exist)... i even had a stray pitt friend i named brad pit lol.. most ppl were scared of him because he was a street dog but he was super chill
One of the best breeds out there really. I lost a pitbull this past spring. I had adopted her when she was a year and a half old. She was 12 and got really sick and we couldn't get to the bottom of what was going on. It got to the point where she let me know she was tired and she was done. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do. She LOVED all kinds of other animals! I have a small farm. She was great with other dogs, large and small, cats, chickens. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. I waited a bit and then found another pitty girl at a county pound 2 hours away from my home. She's one year old and she has the same personality as my last pit. She loves everyone be it human or animal. She has been at the pound the longest out of all the dogs they had there. I guess people didn't want her because of her breed. I'm glad because I lucked out and she got to come home with me! If you are interested in a pitbull you see on the internet at a rescue or wherever, ask a lot of questions. The pound really did a good job of making sure she was a good fit. They tested her with other dogs and cats and she passed with flying colors. You can ask them to do that for you. Some will, some won't. What they did for their cat-test was to walk her in front of the cat's kennels/cages to gauge her interest and reaction. They don't let the dog and cat loose together just in case. I just love her! She'll never see the inside of a pound again.
Joyce Nesselhauf: I'm so sorry for your loss! My cousin has a pit bull. I always thought they were mean dogs. However, I always tell her that hers is an insult to its breed! lol! She is such a baby. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Actually, I think she'd run from the fly. -p She loves to go for car rides, too. When we're not in the car, she just sits there and looks around enjoying the scenery. lol!
Joyce Nesselhauf I'm somewhat a little nervous around pit bulls because when I was young, a pit bull got loose at our elementary school grounds and attacked a childhood friend of mine, nearly killing her. She still has the scars from the attack, but it's never broken her spirit. I'm getting better at learning to trust some pit bulls (my next door neighbor, who is the kindest guy I know and has become a better person by getting away from his criminal father, has an adorable pit bull puppy who loves people and animals), but I still have a ways to go. Seeing this sweet pit bull made my day.
look how young Tia looks. SHE's an angel on earth for these dogs.( 6 yr old blue nose owner here ) Had dogs all of my 61 yrs.Love you too Ellen.Keep helping these great people help the dogs.
The only experience I've had with pit bulls is 1 time, and I was bitten. Now, before the hate starts, let me say that I was previously told by the owners that if the dog was outside, NOT to approach the house unless someone was outside with him. I ignored the warning, and the dog was just doing what he was supposed to, protecting his family. The blame for being bitten lies ENTIRELY on me! So, even with that experience, I still stand up for these dogs, advocate for them and support them, and am against BSL. What Tia says in this video is so important, and I'm paraphrasing, that the OTHER end of the leash is the problem, not the dogs themselves. These are wonderful dogs and don't deserve the bad rap they've gotten.
It's not just pits that can be aggressive, all dogs can be. Dogs are meant to be protective of their humans, we made them that way! Even the most docile dog can attack without notice if they feel like their human is in danger, or their property. Sometimes with no explanation that we can see, but it makes sense to them.
gmail 2014 I'd argue that Labrador retrievers are the sweetest and most loyal, but Pits are not far behind. And a fun fact, in multiple temperament tests of dog breeds Pits come in second, with only the Labrador retriever beating them for best temperament. Now I have met many labs, and have owned a total of 5 purebred labs and 1 lab/border collie mix, and have met many a pit bulls, and they act very similar, but the best pit bull I met was a Pit bull/ lab mix. It had the lab coat, American lab face, pit bull ears, pit bull build, and was the biggest baby I've ever met (until the red lab puppy we got). I would have loved to adopt that dog, but it didn't do well with cats and we had rescued a cat from the humane society over 5 year earlier (when it was a kitten), and we weren't going to boot out our 5 1/2 year old cat, and didn't want to risk either out cat getting hurt, the pit/lab mix getting hurt, or my brown lab getting hurt (as my lab had taken to the kitten like it was a puppy, and she had very good motherly instinct, and had defended him on multiple occasions. My cat was an inside cat, but he would be allowed outside on rare occasions, or when he snuck out, and my lab had literally ran our neighbors cat up a tree on more then one occasion when the neighbors cat would start hissing at my cat, but mom wasn't about to let her "puppy" get in a fight). So basically we feared that in that triangle of possibilities one or even two of them would get hurt, with either the cat being attacked and my lab going after the mix, or the mix would try to get the cat and my lab and it would get into a fight, and we just didn't want to risk any of that.
my baby is a pitt bull and he is a rescue. He is the most loving and forgiving. I do not see breed they are all dogs. Treat them like they are dogs. with respect
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW. It's not because I'm a pitbull lover ... never liked or disliked before the show. But it's nonstop action, suspense, heartfelt moments ..., just a wild conglomeration of exciting drama. It's a must see!
pit bulls are not bad dogs I know a woman with a pit bull the dog is really friendly if you find a mean pit bull its because of what the owner did to him or her not all pit bulls are mean it depends on how you rais them and train them and how you treat them any dog could be mean if you hit and abuse them
lots of people don't know how to train or handle a large breed and they can create an aggressive dog without knowing...chaining a dog ... using a muzzle are some of the reasons... even wile walking a dog and keeping tension on the lead can cause the dog to be on edge and be more aggressive....maybe people who want to own a large breed dog should have to take classes by a person that knows all of these things... because not all trainers know this either..so there needs to be a more regulated training for the large breed owners.... because I'm getting so frustrated with places banning pitbull's...it's racist and unfair....if pitbull's were all gone than it would be another large breed dog to take it's place on there so called aggressive dog list
I actually agree with you I have one but he plays with the kids do nicely the thing is how you raise them he does defend us when needed but he sleeps in my bed at night
122 people gave this a thumbs down. Whats up with that? Pitts are the sweetest breed. The lady said they are good around kids but not other animals, its typical for the breed. Not so. It's how they are trained.
I've had a couple of bad experiences with Pitbulls, one killed my kitten but have been re-educated by this show and have learned that these dogs are really a beautiful animal and love watching Tia and family be involved with this. While you watch you see when they first pick up the dog and when later they are adopted how shiny and healthy the dog becomes in this family's care
I feed homeless animals and get them off the streets when I find rescues that accept them. Over half of the dogs I rescue are pits or at least part pit. They have become my favorite breed. Any dog can be made aggressive. It is all in how they are treated, trained and raised. Of course there are certain genetic characteristics of each breed but I tell you pits are an amazing breed. It truly makes me sad that they were labeled so wrong. It could have been any breed of dog labeled wrong. I believe we should respect the fact that any animal has the potential to be dangerous. That is just common sense. But with the way they are treated, trained and raised they will be gentle amazing furbabies that just want to be loved and to give love.
TRICIA Macdonald I think people also forget that humans can be dangerous beings as well but the way we are raised our environment can change the way we deal with situations and agression and just general issues
God bless this woman for what she continues to do. I own a 3yr old male Pit Bull and hes such a great natured, playful and loyal member of our family. My best friend is adopting 2 females today from our local animal shelter. Iam so happy that she chose to rescue and love what someone else couldn't..
When I first met my friend's dog, I didn't know what she was. But she came up to me, laid on her back, and I gave her a tummy rub. Then my friend pipes "She's a pit bull." I look at her and say "Really?" And that was that. That dog and I have been friends ever since.
The only dog that ever bit me was a terrier. We have a pit bull, and he's the sweetest, gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet. He gives his toys to my kids when they're upset, and his favorite thing in the world is to cuddle with his humans.
I second what Anne Parrot has to say about Pitts!!! The discrimination and hatred is astounding. My Princess the Pit was rescued from the streets with severe injuries from human abuse. She is a very well balanced dog who completed obedience training and earned AKC Canine Good Citizen Title. The AKC trainer thinks Princess would be a good therapy dog. Princess the Pit lives with 4 Chinese Crested dogs and two cats. They all get along. She also likes people and kids. I have owned many dog breeds over the years. Princess is my first pit and the breed is at the top of my favorite list. It seems that some members of the human race need something to hate, whether that be people of different races or cultures and the Pit Bull. It is unfortunate that they are unable to open their eyes to reality and their hearts to love.
the pitbull and Amstaff is the ultimate dog, if raised right and has right breeding they are so loving and devoted to the family, and if socialized can get along with other animals.
Awww, adorable lil pitty. I miss my widdow Am PB Bogie...we had to put him down this past February, he was just shy of his 15th year. A good boy, who completed his life's mission...everyone loved him. RIP BogieDogie, some sweet day we'll be together.
When I worked at a shelter, we had an enormous, stocky, battle-clipped, mean looking pit bull named Biscuit. When I first brought him out to an adoption site, my boss told me to put the puppy in the pen with him. I thought he was nuts, but he told me to trust him. The entire day, the puppy was climbing on him, chewing on him, barking at him, and Biscuit didn't so much as twitch. The only time he moved was when people showed up so he could get attention.
Pit bulls are wonderful dogs. It is usually poor training & or, poor upbringing that makes a dog lash out with different situations. They do indeed get a bad rap. I love Dogs!
i think its absolutely adorable seeing those big burly men kissing those dogs. they say animals can heal the soul and i believe that. they love unconditionally. we could ALL take a lesson
I have an American Staffordshire - very similar breed. He is super loving and I could never imagine him ever hurting anyone... but if you give him a golf ball, he crushes it. If he plays with a tennis ball, it is immediately popped. I gave him a thick rope knot toy, and he ripped the rope apart. Yes, they will have great personalities and he is so loving and kind... but I don't leave him alone with other dogs because I know what he is capable of if it ever got out of hand.
I LOVE pits and have only ever owned pits. They are such great dogs. Never had problems and they LOVED playing with kids n never harmed anyone. Even my new born daughter was super safe with her, She took EXTRA care around her and let her sleep against her. She would even guard her at night while we slept n would wake us up to let us know my daughter woke up since im a heavy sleeper. When she got older my daughter would ride her like a horse n they BOTH loved doing that. There are NO bad breeds ONLY bad owners
The stare is amazingly hypnotic Pit bull: can I have what you're eating? Me: No. Pitty: >:C -gives the stare-\ -10 minutes later- Pitty: -Eating the food I was just eating- Me: Damn it.....
I owned a wonderful Pitbull her name was Grace. She was the sweetest dog ever!! After her I got a Cocker Spaniel and she was not aggressive with Farrah whatsoever. I used to take Grace to the dog park and she was so friendly with all dogs big and small. Sometimes if she picked up bad vibes from a dog she would come running and hide behind me. Sorry to say after 14 years of a happy life she went to dog heaven. We miss her very much!
LMAO omgod! That dog is SO focused on those treats, it's hilarious...yet he sits perfectly still, waiting lol....it's all on his face...He'd be great for the commercials for them, g LMAO.
There is nothing wrong with Pit Bulls...the true animals are the ones that train these magnificent dogs to fight and then the way they treat them when the fighting days are over. Congrats to this lady....:)
I've come to see that pitbulls are wonderful dogs. I've learned alot from watching this show. I make sure I never miss an episode!!!! I encourage everyone to watch it if they haven't seen it. It really makes a difference.
Pit Bulls and Parolees actually converted my mother! I'm still working on my sister however. I doubt she'll ever convert; she's a dog snob anyway, she thinks that mutts are the "second class citizens" of the dog world.
It's sad that my sister won't even watch the show. She looks down on them b/c of their tattoos and piercings. She thinks that SHE is better than THEM, even though they've done more good in the world than she has, or will ever do!
Isabella Chapman Like I said...friendlier and nicer. Maybe your sister should consider the tattoos as permanent JEWELRY! They're just dripping with it! LOL!
I've learnt such a great deal about pit bulls and dogs in general from watching the Cesar Millan series. Hopefully his common sense ways of handling dogs will become universal and justice will prevail so that we can learn to live in harmony with all animals, then, in turn, with fellow members of the human race. Mutual respect all round.
What a beautiful dog, Snorkie, is !!! It's not the breed - It's people who mistreat them -- That's the problem!! We have a Pittie mix who is a big sweetheart --- Her 2 adopted ' pups' are a female Chi-Weenie and an older, gentleman Chihuahua--- CoCo the Pittie mix let's those two rule the house -- All 3 play, eat and sleep together--- Actually, they let us share the bed ! LOL! All rescues -- all loving to everyone. Save a life -- Adopt a rescue dog!!!
I love my Bull Scotty, she is such a great dog, friendliest dog you'd ever of met. She's great with kids and other dogs. She's the dog you can let run around the dog park and not have to worry. Even when dogs get aggressive, she just walks away. She was adopted, and before her, I had reserve about taking her, the end result is the best decision, pet wise, that I have ever made.
Omg I love Pit bulls and Parolee's one of the best shows on animal planet...love you too Tia for the amazing work you do with these amazing misunderstood dogs!!!
there's no other dog that i have met that is as loyal as a pitbull. that is one of the reasons why they do what they do. They believe that this will make there masters happy. and they are so dedicated to their master, they will not stop. pits are great when raised right. the most happiest dog. LoL
My 3 1/2 pound toy Chihuahua attacked a Golden Retriever a few months back and ended up with a punctured lung, 6 open wounds, 2 broken ribs and a broken tail. The Golden wasn't even doing anything, just minding his own business and my damn dog attacked. I agree with your comment, Chihuahuas are mean as heck!!!
Any dog has the potential to be mean. Pitbulls are the nicest dogs I've ever seen. My Pit is my buddy and she is the coolest dog you could possibly imagine.
I've never met a Pit Bull I didn't like. Can't say the same about people tho.
Michael Graystone I totally agree
Michael Graystone Facts
Bryce Anne Hopper
Michael Graystone Very true!!!
Michael Graystone omg i just realized it's the same for me... never met a mean pit (even tho they obviously exist)... i even had a stray pitt friend i named brad pit lol.. most ppl were scared of him because he was a street dog but he was super chill

When we're not in the car, she just sits there and looks around enjoying the scenery. lol!

Joyce Nesselhauf Sorry for your loss. They are truly great dogs.
pit nutter tell that to the millions of children killed by those evil dogs
the dog is like "i'mma stare at the woman with treats until she gives me the entire jar" too cute :)
Caius Reese the dog is very adorable.
look how young Tia looks. SHE's an angel on earth for these dogs.( 6 yr old blue nose owner here ) Had dogs all of my 61 yrs.Love you too Ellen.Keep helping these great people help the dogs.
love how Ellen isn't nervous around the dog at all
He's so polite...can I please have more treats if you don't mind? LOLOLOL
lmao
lololol!
What an awesome animal Snorky is !!!

Lisa M. Altemose major respect
so u are still defending the stupid dog that doesn't make a difference between a child or an adult
I say u deserve to get bitten more
I have a pitbull and he is a giant snuggle machine The only thing he really attacks is his chew toy. Just watch out for his tail his is a whip
It's not just pits that can be aggressive, all dogs can be. Dogs are meant to be protective of their humans, we made them that way! Even the most docile dog can attack without notice if they feel like their human is in danger, or their property. Sometimes with no explanation that we can see, but it makes sense to them.
Amanda Crook Well said!
I agree. Humans are more dangerous, IMO. You don't know who you can trust with humans. Humans do most of their damage with words!!!
Omg... beautiful dog and SO adorable! That face! :-)
Hilarious! He wasn't even blinking at one point. He stared those snacks down!!
That was tooooooo adorable!!!
PITBULLS are the best dogs to have ...they are the sweetest loyal dogs ever
AGREE!!!! :-)
My dog is actually the sweetest and most loyal dog. And she's not even close to a pit. And nobody is afraid of her 😊😍
gmail 2014 I'd argue that Labrador retrievers are the sweetest and most loyal, but Pits are not far behind. My cat was an inside cat, but he would be allowed outside on rare occasions, or when he snuck out, and my lab had literally ran our neighbors cat up a tree on more then one occasion when the neighbors cat would start hissing at my cat, but mom wasn't about to let her "puppy" get in a fight). my baby is a pitt bull and he is a rescue. He is the most loving and forgiving. I do not see breed they are all dogs. Treat them like they are dogs. with respect
Pit Bulls are all about forgiveness. A PB is a friend for LIFE!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW. It's not because I'm a pitbull lover ... never liked or disliked before the show. But it's nonstop action, suspense, heartfelt moments ..., just a wild conglomeration of exciting drama. It's a must see!

Humans make the dogs mean
Of Course!!!
His eyes were *glued* to that jar, hahaha
PITBULLS AND PAROLEES!! I love that show :3
122 people gave this a thumbs down. Whats up with that? Pitts are the sweetest breed. The lady said they are good around kids but not other animals, its typical for the breed. Not so. It's how they are trained.
I bet they r not pitbull fans like some people r
get a real life
What a lovely dog

I've been rescuing Pit Bulls for yrs they are awesome dogs.Just want to say Thank You.😄
TRICIA Macdonald Bless you, Keep doing what you do!! The dogs you save need you and anyone else that can help, your an angel 😇....
TRICIA Macdonald
God bless this woman for what she continues to do. I own a 3yr old male Pit Bull and hes such a great natured, playful and loyal member of our family. My best friend is adopting 2 females today from our local animal shelter. Iam so happy that she chose to rescue and love what someone else couldn't..
This dog is adorable 😍

Just that deadpan stare like *giiimmme treats* like he's trying to mindcontrol her into it LOL I love it.
What a beautiful animal. I have a French Mastiff and she is a big baby at 150 lbs of love. Hope this guy got adopted.
Beautiful dog.
I had two spoiled pits and had to give them away when I moved bc of the ignorance of others. I sure do miss my babies. Ebony and Suge
I love Pitbulls and Parolees. Tia does a great job educating people on the breed. I think she is fabulous and glad she cares about these dogs!
Pit Bulls are brilliant, affectionate, loyal, and charming dogs.
I've had 2 pits-both female-who were loving and super-protective of my kids. Love them!
The only dog that ever bit me was a terrier. We have a pit bull, and he's the sweetest, gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet. He gives his toys to my kids when they're upset, and his favorite thing in the world is to cuddle with his humans.
every pit bull Ive ever know was a wonderful loving kind and gentle dog
He looked at Tia as if to say tell her I want more 😂😂🐶
Snorky is way too damn cute!!
I wish I could adopt Snorky!
Pit bull: Ellen? What are you doing? Don't close that treat container! I will stare at you until I get my treats!
Gotta love Snorkie!!
Such a beautiful dog !!! Awwwwww... look at that expression. He WANTS the doggy treats !!!
LOVE them ALL!! Aggression is not breed specific.
Ellen: "I'm gonna give you $10,000 worth of Halo dog food."
Snorky: "Thanks, I'll take all of it right now."
the pitbull and Amstaff is the ultimate dog, if raised right and has right breeding they are so loving and devoted to the family, and if socialized can get along with other animals.
Both my pitbulls are doormats. they both just lay around and do nothing all day.
That doggie was just too cute!!
I have a rescued pit bull. I love him!!! He is self actualized.
Awww, adorable lil pitty. I miss my widdow Am PB Bogie...we had to put him down this past February, he was just shy of his 15th year. A good boy, who completed his life's mission...everyone loved him. RIP BogieDogie, some sweet day we'll be together.
he's like "gimme more treats lady"
watching this with my little pittie pup laying on my shoulder cheek to cheek
Such a cute dog LOVE HIM
Such a beautiful animal!
my pitbull does the same thing. just stares at me until i give her the treat.
IM a pit lover!!! i currently hav a blue pit and hes a sweety and he begs for treats just like that so adorable!!!
When I worked at a shelter, we had an enormous, stocky, battle-clipped, mean looking pit bull named Biscuit. man I will always love pits

i think its absolutely adorable seeing those big burly men kissing those dogs. they say animals can heal the soul and i believe that. they love unconditionally. we could ALL take a lesson
I love the Pitbulls and Parolees TV show! I watched it every time it comes on TV!
Help Tia if you can and send her money! You know her and her family are dedicated to all the animals she takes in and they need help!
she is incredible and kudos to her plight to save pits they are loving dogs
THAT SOUND MADE ME JUMPED.
I have an American Staffordshire - very similar breed. He is super loving and I could never imagine him ever hurting anyone... but if you give him a golf ball, he crushes it.
The stare is amazingly hypnotic
Pit bull: can I have what you're eating?
Me: No.
Pitty: >:C -gives the stare-\
-10 minutes later-
Pitty: -Eating the food I was just eating-
Me: Damn it.....
My service dog is part pit. He was the one who rescued me!
I love pits! I love them so much! They are the biggest(but smallest) teddy bears! there adorable
Isabella Chapman
And just like people, second class is usually friendlier and nicer than first class...
LOL!
Ha Ha!!!!
Her phone dying
I love her
Paws crossed that Snorky has found his forever responsible home.
exactly, a lab attacked my pug, and a golden retriever almost attacked me and my brother.
What the Pitbull is thinking: More give me more foood.
That chat sound scared the crap out of me.
My favorite dog
Such a misunderstood breed. Some of the most sweet dogs I have ever seen were Pits.
No Snorky no!
Pit bulls don't normally snap if their raised right. They are really sweet dogs.
I love the dog he's smart.
She is my hero! !thank you for saving pittbull😍😍😍😍
i love this. thank you for uploading and your comments on the movie
Thank you for adopting instead of shopping. Dogs know that they are on death row. No such thing as a "no-kill shelter".
Does anyone know what episode of Ellen is called with John Garcia and Georgia the pitbull?
he is beautiful never had bad feelings for the breed just the owners
2 whole weeks....wow. that's what i call dedication....
Omg I love Pit bulls and Parolee's one of the best shows on animal planet...love you too Tia for the amazing work you do with these amazing misunderstood dogs!!!
This is what the breed is really like :-)
what a cutie. I love pitbulls. Such a beautiful breed
I have 2 female pits (sisters)...Sequoia and Willow. I couldn't ask for a better breed of dog! Loyal and lovable! ♥
I've had them all my life. Raised them with two babies too. Never a mean bone in any of them! It's the owner not the dog.
there's no other dog that i have met that is as loyal as a pitbull. that is one of the reasons why they do what they do.
