Hoping to do something similar, thanks for sharing. Just getting my head around how best to avoid a wet floor i.e. small 'leaks' between the shower tray hole and the floor hole; since it can't be properly sealed. I see you mentioned you pop in a drain pipe when it's in use to mitigate this as much as possible. Is your shower complete now? Have you done any leak tests?
Thank you for supporting my channel! 🙏🏻 I didn’t make a water test and I probably need to make some little changes to avoid a wet floor…or at least to prevent any bad scenarios. The theory is to route any leaks to the drain, that’s why the drain hole on the flore, the black part, it’s bigger than the shower pan drain. I’ll make a video in future when I’ll test it out. 👍🏻
Thanks for the reply, I look forward to seeing the future video of it! I see this idea here and there but you're the first video I've seen do it. Seems like the best shower option for small space if you can make it work well enough :)
Im looking to do something similar, what can I search to find a range of drain covers that are similar to that ? Im finding lots of stainless/outdoor mesh/grill covers ?
I wanted to see jow your drain pipe in the shower drawer works . When you pull out yhe drawer to use the shower pan, how can the shower drain pipe go in the hole in the floor. The bottom of yhe shower drsin pipe can not be very long and fir yhe drawer to work the pipe can't hit the van gloor so how fo uou prevent the floor from getting wet?
The drain pipe of the shower pan is shaped like a funnel and it sticks out from the bottom something like 2cm, enough to go into the drain pipe in the floor. That’s why I need to take it out in order to slide the shower in and out. I hope it makes sense!
Well the drain has a snug fit, plastic to plastic, it was part of a P-trap that I didn’t use. Of course I need to dry out the shower pan before removing the drain and closing the drawer. I’ll make a video in future when it’s finished and working to explain this better.
Nice, i really like to see different layouts and ideas for camper vans

@@rorythomas3084 this is a boat hatch. I found it on AliExpress. Like this one:

Where did you get the shower pan with such high sides/depth? Thanks👍
The shower pan is just 4cm, the sides are wood covered in white vinyl. 👍🏻 You can see how it’s made in the episode 14. 😉
When you drop the drain in to how a shower how do you seal around the tray and the drop in part?
It’s a snug fit, plastic to plastic, and the drain pice has a small lip that act as a “gasket”.

@@diegosvan if you take the drain pipe in and out of the shower pan, how is there a waterproof seal ?

Would you sell or share the CNC machined parts that you used as a template for the shower drain? I don't have a CNC machine!
I still have them somewhere. It depends where are you located.😅 you could probably 3d print the part as well.
