Another Hayward/Post-This Heat group I LOVE is Camberwell Now. I remember finally picking up the 'All's Well' comp two years ago and it still blows my mind, especially the tracks "Speculative Fiction", "Green Lantern", and "Working Nights". Just devastating!

Ah, you just made my day with the Desaparecidos news!! Read Music Speak Spanish is all killer no filler. I had heard for the longest time they had had the music recorded for a a second album called Payola, but Conor never layed down any vocals
This Heat is killer! A mindblowing band for sure. Great to hear that Desaparecidos is back together, I like some of the Bright Eyes material but that Desaparaecidos album got me. Also can't wait to learn more about this upcoming new project you speak of. Excellent man!

I knew you would be staying busy, great to hear that the Omaha scene is happening right now. I love This Heat! One of my all time favorite bands. I have the original pressings of the S/T and Deceit on vinyl. Unfortunately I wasn't alive when they originally came out, so I'm definitely late to the party. So cool to hear about you schooling Sabre, Quiet Sun's Mainstream is a monster for sure. I think I'd shit myself seeing your collection in person even after all these videos!
They're great, my favorite modern students of This Heat ❤ they definitely deserve some love for keeping some amazing experimental rock in the zeitgeist
I saw one of Black Midi's earliest gigs. They supported Preoccupations in London in 2018. Was thinking how crazy good this drummer was whole time. When I was smoking outside, Preoccupations arrived and walked past me, their drummer saw my Deceit shirt and said "cool t-shirt" to me. They're also very influenced. 'March of Progress' etc..
Hey Dereck! What can I say? This Heat are incredible - a big influence on my own music. I think the Health & Efficiency single really stands out for me, an amazing track. I picked up a beautiful Rough Trade copy of Deceit recently, it's on one of my videos. Still after the first album. Need to check out Quiet Sun. Hope you're well man.

Their power, intensity and innovation was just unmatched. I really wish they made more studio albums, still in my top 5 rock bands no question.
