  • Lilac bouquet season is here, and today we are making a purple spring bouquet with viburnum, lilac, and double daffodils. Even if purple flowers aren't your thing, who doesn't love lilacs? Spring bouquets are some of our favorites to make, especially if they involve our favorite Charles Jolie lilacs.

You make me happy that I purchased a Chinese Snowball Viburnum this year. Next year I will have blooms for spring arrangements. Now I have to shop thrift stores.

What a beautiful spring arrangement. I don't have a viburnum, but now I need to source one and get it in my garden asap!

Aside from slitting the woody stems do you have tips on keeping viburnum fresh? I can't ever seem to get more than a few days vase life before it gets floppy. Thanks!

They do seem to last longer if the blooms are a little more mature. If they're green just about ready to turn white, I think they usually hold up the longest.

    Gorgeous arrangement!
I also love looking back through my old Victoria magazines from 30 years ago (so glad I didn’t listen to my kids when they said I should toss them out !)
And I love that I now recognize all the different flowers that were highlighted in so many of them!

I’m not sure? Since this was a start from a really old bush I’m not sure on the name.
