    Do not denigrate your design skills. The arrangements you create are stunning and original. Sometimes the professionally trained florists make arrangements that look stiff and formulaic. Your designs are charming and lovely. They look simple in the way that only comes from an empathy with flowers.

    Not to be a geek--meant to be helpful: Celosia is pronounced "che-law-SI-ah." CE in Latin and Italian are a CH as in church sound. There are no "closed" vowels in Latin, which means they all feel a little loose or "open." hence, the "LO" in Celosia is not pronounced "low" but law. Sorry--I'm a classical singer so I have to know this stuff. :) Hope that helps .

      Wrong. Not a Latin word. It comes from Ancient Greek, meaning burning. You people have Google, right? Why not check things?

    Hello!! I love love love your videos, I’ve been folding laundry and enjoying your tips on growing flowers and giggling along with you:) my question is : where do you buy your flower seeds? Do you get them in bulk and do you save seeds for the following season or do you buy each growing season?
    Thank you so much!

    • @rootdesigncompany
      @rootdesigncompany  3 года назад

      Our favorite place to buy seeds is wherever we can find the varieties we want to grow! ;) We usually start with Johnny’s Seeds, but also buy from Geo Seed, Chiltern Seeds (England) and Floret Seeds. We do save some heirloom seed from the garden, too. We have a theory that eventually the seed you save year over year adapts to your climate and becomes more vigorous. Because we are relatively small, buying in bulk means we are way over buying, so we don’t do a lot of that.
