I'm sorry that you're having a difficult time at the moment but I'm glad to hear that this is a good release for you- you are really talented and I hope that things get better for you soon ♥
Depression affects us all Differently. My version was f being depressed is where you have no light at all. You can’t write. You can’t think. You can’t even speak. To be able to express yourself even in darkness is a grace.
That's true, I'm thankful I can express myself. I have been in similar mental states where I couldn't compose, but not being able to speak sounds really concerning. I hope you are doing better now.
I have no idea what is happening to you but may this chorale be a reminder for yourself of how amazing and brilliant you are. You are in pain and instead of laying down on your bed forever, you compose a nice short piece to us to express yourself. Get well and keep it up.
The fact you were able to produce this even while going through a depressive period is beyond me. I hope you're proud of your work, and equally hope that your mental wellbeing improves soon :) I liked the melody for this harmonisation quite a bit, would you mind if I used it to practice chorale writing myself?
I use the Cantamus App (web page). You have to pay but it is worth it. I have the 5€ option, but I believe there is a 1€ one. If you combine it with some simple mastering on Audacity you can get great results.
Pretty good! A few things to note: 9-8 suspension first beat of m6 does not resolve correctly. A should go > G. Second, the cross relation between G and G# is a bit iffy tbh. I think F natural half note and two E’s would sound better
I am conscious of all this and I did it on purpose. Resolving A to G isn't good because it goes to a unison and it doesn't allow the chromatism I want. The G#/G clash isn't too uncommon in tonal music and it is prepared, I wanted it to sound almost painful.
@@Ivan_1791 ah okay, makes sense then. Then I suggest the A resolves to a G on the first beat of that measure so it doesn’t sound like an unresolved suspension. Im also nitpicking since overall this is quite good 👍

Thank you very much. :)
Transcendental. I'm glad your creativity is still able to come through. Thinking of you every day.
Yes, it was super unexpected. And thank you very much!

Thank you very much! And of course, you can use it if you find it helpful.
Representa bien el sentimiento
Me alegro haha.
Uploads from this channel make me feel like when Cleveland Brown gets a copy of Moustache Quarterly in the mail.
I don't understand. What does it mean? I don't know what Cleveland Brown or Moustache Quarterly are.
@@Ivan_1791 pretty sure they're referencing the tv show Family Guy
It could be, I haven't seen many episodes of that series. :/
What program you use for this for this choir . That can sing the words.

Pretty cool. Good job!
Thank you.
get well
I appreciate that!
I agree, please get well. And wishing you the best in everything you do!!
@TheodoreServin Thank you friend!
so pretty
Thanks!
Brilliant choral! How did you get the voices singing words?
Thank you. I used Cantamus for the playback.
@@Ivan_1791, thank you for telling me! Stay well!
@@TohlerCompositor You are welcome! And I appreciate your wish.
May God grant you the peace of Christ ☦
What app do you use to make the thinbnail sheet look old??
Adobe Photoshop on my mobile phone.

That was very nice to hear. I sympathize with your feelings, a bit less pitch correction next time perhaps?
What is pitch correction exactly? I couldn't manipulate the playback too much.
@@Ivan_1791 (Computer-assisted) correction of pitch
@@hugo54758 The playback is generated by Cantamus. It would be better if it was performed by a real choir.
@@Ivan_1791 I see, thank you for the explanation
