Thanks it was a cool experiment! You have to weld it a couple times to get the impurities out and get the shape you want, but the nice part is you can do it as many times as you want
Cool video using flux was probably overkill since gold doesn’t really oxide and you already had the argon from the tig welder preventing oxidation. Although take my advice with a grain of salt as I’m no goldsmith just a guy who watches to much RUclips.
Sorry, But I hate to let you know that's only melting gold into a mold not smelting where'as you remove everything else, other than gold, such as copper, iron, and silver, and other minerals. Cheers

You may be right! We’re no experts just simple gold miners with a tig welder

You don't need argon. Gold doesn't react with oxygen at those temperatures.
