Being a 16 year old girl, you have just inspired me to continue my whole journey to blender. Instead of wasting my time on games or any social media, I will do my best to learn blender, starting today.
Do it for real, I'm 22 now. All I wish now is that I didn't waste all those years playing games. It has done absolutely nothing for me now. If I learned blender when I was 16 I'd had 7 years experience already and would have an amazing job. Instead it was spent being lazy and doing the bare minimum.
Make sure you post your material once you're confident enough with it!
@@kevinsouza5747 of course I will, once I've got some motivation.
Same! So far I've made a sword, and am working on a animatronic for a fnaf fan game!
"Instead of wasting my time on (normal fun thing everyone should do to take a break once in a while) I will sacrifice my life to work!"
You will get burnt out quickly and regret you lost your childhood. You'll learn more if you do it for fun
I'm 30 and this makes me feel like I wasted my teens playing WoW all day. Good stuff dude. 👏

Young man, your future is exceptionally bright!! Astonishing work. Well done indeed. I am an oldie at 44 with a DATA job and a family and recently opened up blender and stared at the screen like so many people do. I clicked a few things and concluded that I would be better of opening a bottle of wine and watching Netflix.... However, with intrigue, I got up the next day and once more opened up blender. I came across the donut course and within a few hours I had created a flippin donut!!! Didn't bother faffing with all the different sized sprinkles! I was so happy with it and realised that even at my age, I might be able to do something!! So now I have taken the leap to character modelling and whilst it is hard, the Topology is hell! I will succeed... So my point is that this young gun is going to be making an absolute killing doing something he enjoys..... It's never too late though as I reckon a year or two and there could be some sideline work for me too.
Didn't mean for this to go on longer than that lad's video.... Well done man!!!
I'm 66 and I have been using Blender for 18 months.

From the video he made the donut render in June 2019,when Andrew (Blender Guru) finished the tutorial of just the donut only (no coffee cup and everything after that yet) on Sep 2019. Whether he's following other tutorials or maybe that's a wrong date.

I made it mom! Andrew price was impressed by my work. So basically I tried to put all the hours a normal teen would waste playing video games and instead put that into blender, it actually resulted in a lot of progress. I’d say I have an average of like 5h of blender everyday

Hi, that's really inspiring! I'm actually going to start out with that same donut tutorial! (I just downloaded blender) My question is, what type of graphics card do you use to get these results? Or which one would you recommend to get a good workflow ?
you are soo good in blender that you just time traveled lol
It's hilarious that you've made more convincing looking CGI in Blender over your two years than most high budget movie studios have in the last decade 😂 great work 👌
now that's a stretch! It really is impressive what he did here but it's not perfect, especially that water simulation at the end would not pass in a high budget project. Regardless the kid has a future... but at the same time this industry is kinda ruthless... crazy hours, constant deadlines... it's brutal! one thing to do only the projects that you like and it's a totally different feeling when you have to do something you are told... that's a bit of a death wish for an artistic person... but luckily William here likes cars, so it just might be his thing that he will always love to do. Good luck!

What the fuck. I'm 26 and work in the VFX industry as a compositor. I wish I had spent as much time learning 3D/film/photography/comp etc as you are at your age. You rate of progression is actually insane. You have a really good eye for composition, lighting, colour , motion and the principles of photography. Have you done any photography or any other sort of art before learning Blender? I refuse to believe you picked all this up from scratch in two years. Maybe the Blender stuff, but your fundamentals knowledge? Nah man, you must come from a family of artists.
That’s what i thought lol
yeah, and with 5 month break? Whaa... Hard to believe.
Of course it all looks great, but wasn't most of these downloaded models and he just created some scenery to put objects into? Then making movements of objects and cameras. I don't want to sound mean, but is it that hard to do? I am a newbie as well, so I am asking seriously.
