Known as "the best friend a song ever had" the awesome Conway Twitty. He has many great songs and was a stellar singer/performer. You should listen to "Fifteen Years Ago" "Tight Fittin' Jeans" and "You've Never Been This Far Before". He also has tons of great duets with Loretta Lynn.
I truly miss Conway. I have several of his songs on my playlist that I listen to every day. I only got to see him one time in concert but wow, what a concert it was . RIP Conway
He sang the best belly-rubbing music of anyone I ever heard. There wasn't woman who ever heard him that didn't fall in love with him just a little bit.
That’s My Job always gets me in tears. Just beautiful, especially the way Conway sings it. I also agree with you about today’s “country” music, it just isn’t the same, although there were lots of great artists that didn’t come along until the ‘90’s and later, so don’t write those decades off.
Thank you for this reaction, definitely gets you in the "feels" - And I love how he always holds up that hand that's holding the mic to wave as an acknowledgment to the audience.
Love Conway, a true legend in Country music, nobody like him, never will be. Another one you should check out is his duet with Sam Moore, Rainy night in Georgia, is GREAT
Man, this may very well be my favorite reaction video you’ve ever done. I discovered this song when Blake Shelton covered it 10+ years ago. Conway’s blowing the roof off with this version, though. He started off as a rocker in 50s, and I think that clips like this show that he still had some rock and roll in his blood. Lol 👍🏼
Check out his classic "That's My Job"... Or there is always his first, and biggest hit "It's Only Make Believe"... I prefer his later versions, but his early versions, from the 1950's, when he was channeling Elvis were awesome too...
I saw Conway numerous times. "Its only Make Believe" was his mega biggie. He used to pair up with Loretta Lynn. Those were good clean talented entertainers. "Lousiana Woman Mississippi Man" was their big duet.
Conway has sooo many hits. He was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins and lived at Twitty City in Hendersonville, TN. He collapsed on his tour bus in Branson, Missouri and died in June, 1993 of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Modern country is full of incredible artists carrying the tradition. Randall King comes to mind..check out "Around Forever" "Shot Glass" You In A Honky Tonk"
Please check out 2 singers from Canada they are Brian Mallery the song is A Thousand Memories and Chris Melanson the song is Room's For Rent they are the best REAL country songs I have heard in a long time.
Conway Twitty was such an awesome contribution to country music. I had a dog named Conway Twitty when I was 5yo...named him myself haha.
That is too cute!

Don’t take it away by Conway
Yes Sir, he puts such passion in every word. RIP Conway 😢

My favorite singer of all time right here.
My fav singer!
I had seen him many times because him and loretta Lyn was my mom's favorite singers
Conway Twitty was and is the greatest country singer ever. Even though he's gone but he's still better than any singer today
The best ever

"Lousiana Woman Mississippi Man" was their big duet.
This was either the CMA or ACM award show. That man was singing his butt off live , with legends and new artists filling the room.
Slow hand by Conway is one of my favorites
Conway was one of a kind. Blake Shelton covered this and he did an awesome job!!
Mr. Boyd. You’re such a kind hearted person. Thank you for giving your heart to what you do. May God send you many blessings
My very favorite Conway song, because of his Vocals!
Blake Shelton’s cover is just as great.

Oh wow…never knew that. So sad
I saw him in person I screamed so much I couldn’t talk for a week and when he died I cried for a week. I love his music
Smile
yep, lots of people have lived this song
Awesome 🎉
When this album came out, I bought it, just to get this song and one other song that was on it, so worth it.
I saw him in concert several times, he had that passion in every song
His biggest song was Only Make Believe. A song with a twist is Joanie Please Don't Cry sung with his daughter.
very good commentary
I love this song. Blake Shelton does a really good cover of this song. It's gorgeously sad.
Omg love this he puts so much feeling into it mmmm love him
Anything from Conway!
Conway was always SANGIN
A very similar song to this is "And so it goes" by Billy Joel
Don't take it away Conway Twitty
Boyd, anytime you check out anything from Conway Twitty he puts his heart in to everything he sunga
Modern country is full of incredible artists carrying the tradition. Randall King comes to mind..check out "Around Forever" "Shot Glass" You In A Honky Tonk"
If love doesn't wreck you when it's goodbye time then it wasn't worth it to begin with😢
What you said about go through it anyways. Listen to Garth Brooks The Dance. It said it perfectly!
i had no idea Blake Sheltons version was a cover 🤯
Yep and it’s not great.
Blake Shelton brought it back to life when he covered this song, and he did a fantastic job of it also.
Check out Glen Templeton
Please check out 2 singers from Canada they are Brian Mallery the song is A Thousand Memories and Chris Melanson the song is Room's For Rent they are the best REAL country songs I have heard in a long time.
Blake Shelton covered this. Beautifully. But Conway slayed this song!
Check out Blake Sheldon singing Goodbye time also.
Go listen to glen Templeton, he covers goodbye time and you would think it was Conway himself singing it.
Freaking awesome! I listen to Glen’s version every now and then
Check out Glen Templeton singing this song.
Noone comes close to Conway's emotions 😂😂
Listen to "Men With Broken Hearts" by Hank Williams

Sadly he died in 1993 he was married 4 times twice to second wife.
My mother, God rest her soul, once threw her quite large bra onstage at a Conway Twitty concert ❤😂
Lolol gd 1
Conway started out singing rock, but changed when they said he sounded too much like Elvis
I had to walk away he doesn’t love me anymore.
Can;t see it
you didn't listen to the song stop talking.
You talk to much.
