Cynthia’s husband Barry was a jerk. He left her for his mistress despite the fact that they had two young sons.when Barry had an accident it was Cynthia who took care of him. But he was an ungrateful man and cheated on her and left her and their children.Cynthia was fortunate to have a supportive mother who gave her good advice to cope with her situation. Her parents encouraged to look for a job. Cynthia got a job after her first attempt.Several years later after she had finished work and was walking home she heard someone calling her. It was Barry her ex husband. He had moved to another city after their divorce. Barry told her that he had made a mistake by divorcing her. He begged for her forgiveness and pleaded for her to take him back. Cynthia told him that it was too late. She told him that she couldn’t forgive him for abandoning the family and leaving their children fatherless. He had also insulted her before walking out on her telling her that she was no longer attractive. She told him that at one time she would have taken him back if he had asked her but not anymore. She told him firmly to leave and never to try and see again. Her mother’s prediction that Barry would come back had come true. Cynthia’s courage in rejecting the scoundrel was admirable. It is far better for a woman to remain single and focus on raising her children than to live with a cheat. Once a cheat always a cheat.
