"You can't do this to me and Chloe!" Nicole cried, watching her husband pack.
"Do what? Betray you? Is that what you think?" Todd was furious.
"Isn't that what it is? It's betrayal! You're not only leaving me but also our daughter who adores you!"
"Don't exaggerate. I'm not abandoning our daughter. I'll see her regularly."
"Regularly, like on Saturdays? Do you think that's enough for a girl her age? Or do you think she'll forgive you when she finds out you're leaving us for a mistress?"
"Then don't say her I'm leaving for a mistress. We're just going to live apart for a while."
"What? Do you want me to lie to our daughter? That's repugnant! You can't even count on that!"
Todd threw his shirts on the bed and spun to face his wife. "Do you really not understand why I'm leaving, or are you pretending not to?"
"I really don't understand," Nicole admitted honestly.
"Then let me make it clear. I'm tired of you, of your constant focus on everything except me. Where's the Nicole who looked like a magazine model? Look at you! You've let yourself go!"
The situation was hurtful, painful, and above all, utterly unfair. Nicole and her husband had been married for 17 years.
In that time, she had only gained four kilos, which was insignificant considering her age and the fact that she had given birth to a child.
Plus she had had another bad pregnancy after which she was on hormones for almost a year and even so, she had managed to avoid substantial weight gain.
Nicole took care of herself and always presented herself brilliantly, as her job required frequent interactions with respectable clientele.

Love is blind minded. Love made the wife become stupid . When she opened her eyes, she lost everything .
I think it's not stupidity, if there is true love there is respect. She has a good heart, patient and tries to understand him and be supportive hoping he could be helped somehow he is just full of envy and full of negativity towards wife until planning for another deception but of course he failed.

Nice story. Niçole first husband was a lerk and idiot. It was nice she divorce him after he took all her money and company. Good Nicole meet Jeremy who owned chain of hotels. Jeremy started to interest in her when he approached her for design to hia hotels. Nicole went out with Jeremy and come home late and find Todd at his apartment. For him to question her is so stupid. He was surprised that Nicole is striving and her client is a rich business man. He plan to take back Nicole to rip her off. He plan to take her out and pretend to reconcile. He pursued Nicole for second chance. Good that Nicole did not accept his plead. But Jeremy Nicole out and proposed to her. Todd should be ashamed. Good ending for Nicole. Nicole and Jeremy married on the Island and they now expected a child.
