    With the Wheeler Rex "old school" cutter, you do not need to remove it to break it. You squeeze it progressively harder within about a quarter turn and it pops apart. Silly goose.

    I heat my sight glass with a torch, after scoring it, just long enough to hear it go, 'tink'. That's when I know it's split.
