Fantastic video, I was dreading my first tear down. You made it exceptionally easy. I have one request, that diff maintenance video you promised, I don’t see it on your channel and I am going to need it (probably already do)... until then I’m off to binge all your other content!
Good video thanks for sharing this with us.I was wondering why you didn't use air? you are the first RC hobbyist that I have seen go from start to finish.lol still a great job 👍 Stay Safe Stay Healthy
I do the same with my v3 Senton. Water it down and a good scrub. Flip upside down to let the water run off and dry, take off and dry all the bearings, I use skateboard bearing lube to lube my bearings (they sell it at the skate shop). Final prep is WD-40 the chassis after it’s dry makes it shiny and look like new again. Then, back to the field for more bashing! 🍻👍
thanks bud, I agree they are lacking . probably due to the time they take to make, but if they help someone out i dont mind making them. after all it's most of the hobby isnt it 😀👍
Thank you for this video! I just got a sexton 3s used and i'm finding that the truck doesn't roll when I try to push it on the ground. the diffs spin freely in opposite directions when I turn the wheels up off the ground. What should I tear down and look at? Thanks
cheers bud, by the sounds of that I would start at the motor myself, mine was like that but I was unfortunate to have a motor bearing gone,, I did a video on getting that out. it could be the spur gear jammed or something like that. as the motor / spur is the easiest to get out id start there . hope this helps 👍
This thing it’s fully functional! I’m gonna receive my senton first car ever (non a toy) next Tuesday and I was looking for a video like this one ! Please help me to know if a have to put some grease on the motor before using first time (some guys said that this is an important stuff and they probably don’t came with grease) if yes. What kind of ? I need too how to clean all suspension! Cheers From Guadalajara Mexico mate!
nice one my friend, I'm sure you will love it. general rule is if gears are enclosed then grease them, if they are open dont grease them as grease attracts dirt. the senton motor is coverd so yes I do grease it. any questions feel free to ask and if I can help I will, cheers 😀👍
well i was trying clean my senton but its different than yours. i have fan in the motor and that pull thing is too and cant get it oppen cos there is screws in it what i didint notice omg how harder is this gonna get open arrmas when i dont get even the motor out of my arrmas felonys and kraton motor screws are so tight at i cant open them whit hand power cant but the cooler fan on my kraton:D
@@009ADVENTURES um yeah i got it 2020 december? I got 2 screws out but theres one so bad place at i need to melt the bottom place there. havent broke the senton yet but trying to get in the motor to see if theres any dust or garbage inside i was trying to clean it but i try open the motor thing sometime when i have more time.
Don't grease the spur and pinion gear, the dirt and dust will stick to the gears, while if its dry it throws it out. Don't know, just saying haha. Whats your thought on this?
humm spent a but too much time on the wheels by the sounds bud, they should dry out if you put them on a radiator or hair dryer them maybe 🤔 mine have been soaked from puddles etc and dry out ok 👍
If you were going to take it apart the brush and the hose were just a wast of time Why do you have chain wax in there? That is great to stick crap inside the car Just get a paint brush and wd40, take out the motor and esc/servo and brush the entire car, it will protect the plastics and no water will be on the electronics
hi, the idea of washing it first is simply not to get a load of much everywhere while taking it apart, it's much easier to work with cleaner parts than parts covered with crud right 😀 the chain wax suites the terrain I run on that's all , if it was getting used on dusty terrain then I probably would use something else. this car gets a tear down after every 3 runs so doesn't really matter what I put on there in my case . cheers 👍

I’m looking forward to it! Thank you so much, I’m sure we all appreciate it.
made it, be up soon 👍
To open the diffs you just have to take out a couple of screws in the bottom of the car
Thank you so much my friend! I had cleaned it up before but finally got it all apart and cleaned up everywhere, dont really want to drive it now 😂

Great video mate and a great help to those that own one of these, 10/10 for the coffee and especially the spitfire RAF mug 👌😉🐿️
ha ha yes mate coffee is the most important item there 😀 apartvfrom the legendary spitfire of course 🤪😀🐿👍

great cleaning video mate👊👍🇬🇧😊😎
thanks mate, another of those videos you keep meaning to make 😀👍🐿
Great vid pal going to go me out loads now I have an easy to follow instruction manual to watch, will even have the sip off tea haha
Instead of grease would wd40 be ok on the motor bearings ?
good man that's what I like to hear 👍 dont use wd40 on bearings as it's a degreaser. some sort of oil is ok. cheers bud😀👍
@@009ADVENTURES ok cheers pal thanks for the info really helped was worried to take it apart 😂
Very interesting video full of information thanks Marc
thanks for watching mate, now you know where all my time goes 🤣👍

any grease will do, I'm using wilko multi purpose grease at the mo and it's as good as any other 👍
009 ADVENTURES thx mate!
009 ADVENTURES get my Senton today! And my doubt is... I have to put grease for the first run?

hi, usually if the gears are enclosed i do apply a small ammount of grease but if the gears are open then no I don't grease them.
You are absolutely right
good cleaning and video

One of the worst things that you can do is rinse it with water...
oh ok :) can you explain why please 🤔👍
