Defense augments aren't bad in SOME specific situations. Taking one is worth consideration as the third augment on a r6 weapon that already has health regen and affinity (the 2 that really matter). I only really go for it in combination with specific builds that either are either support (status effects or wide range) or have a ton of inbuilt healing (Bazel horn recovery speed, health up 3, recovery speed 3, recovery up 3) To give some extra information on how the divine blessing effect works (because that is the only reason you should ever take this): -It does NOT stack with normal divine blessing -It is equal to 2 levels of divine blessing -If you have 3 levels of normal divine blessing it overwrites the effect of the defense augment -Multiple defence augments do not change the effect at all (just the flat bonus, which sucks)

Actually, GE, Dual Blades can use maximum might, it's just that you'll have to do all of you're attacking in Arch-demon mode (Where all of your attacks consume the bar you built up in Demon mode). That being said, you will go a good chunk of the fight not seeing any sort of benefit from maximum might because you will got into Demon mode a lot, and your first instinctual action upon getting all your stamina back will be going into demon mode again. But still, it can be used if you want that sweet 100% affinity on some of your attacks, just putting this out there :p
The thing is Arch Demon Mode sucks real bad in this game. It was way better in MH4U. It was actually useful in the old games because Demon Mode Drained Stamina nearly twice/thrice as fast as it does in World. When it drains so slowly in World, there really isn't a reason to use Arch Demon Mode over Demon Mode.
I'm curious to know where you got the bit about the health augment having an internal cooldown. This is the first I'm hearing of it and after looking into it further I only found a single thread that said there might be a cooldown but further testing was needed. If you or someone else could enlighten me that would be much appreciated.
It's been accepted for a while, but like you I cant see a definitive data mined source now. Its accepted as it explains why the concurrent attacks from spread ammo and all bow attacks only heal based on one hit, but must be small enough that chained need hits are not affected.
astartespete my understanding is it only counts 1 hit. Rather than them all. Due to a spread doing hundreds of damage it would be incredibly over powered. So if a shell hits for say 30 youd get 3 health but none of the other pellets count. This is the same for bow and LbG. Lbg rapid fire only the first hit counts and the follow ups dont do anything for health augment. I never thought there was an ICD. I use dual blades a lot with health regen and they work fine. The hits are just usually very minor so it takes a demon dance to heal for a good anount over time. Combod with the fact that DBs are super fast to put away makes the augment far less valuable
I notice that for bow user, affinity is important augmentation. In case the weapon have 2 to 3 slot for augmentation, should I put all of augmentation for affinity or what is your suggestion for that?
I use mainly bows and am wondering if health regen is just completely useless to augment for. For instance if I have a rarity 6 with 3 augment slots would one Affinity, one Attack and one Health Regen be a reasonable way to go considering the dimishing return on multiple augmentations of the same type or am I still better off leaving off the Health Regen augment and adding another Affinity or Attack?
Health Regent is really ALL about survivability. If you find yourself constantly healing, or carting more than necessary, a health regen "Usually" works. I say usually cause for super hard hitting monsters like deviljho, at least on bow, health regen simply can't heal you fast enough.
nah bow only heals you for the damage dealt by ONE arrow it sucks. just augment for affinity first you want as close to 100% as you can get because of crit element
If I need warrior stream stones should I still be farming elders or would threat level 2 be more efficient? (I have hero's out the ass for lance but all the good ones a r7 -_-)
Benadryl Thundercrotch it’s better to farm it with elder dragon because it has a higher chance of both that Lvl 2 and 1. This is the reason why we farm lvl 2 for decorations.
Tempered Elder Dragons. The ONLY time I've found myself doing tier 1 or 2 tempered hunts is for the stream stones / stream stone shards. But end game is basically 80% tempered elder dragons, 20% events.
The health regen restores 10% of the total single attack. Let’s say I use GS and I hit for 500, then I gain 50 health. So the less the attack, the less health you will gain.
Yea, but weaker weapons will hit fast to compensate. So when the values are percentage based, they actually end up being fair across all melee sets. You heal less per hit on dual blades, but you also hit insanely fast and one miss here or there doesn't really hurt you. But if continually miss on something bigger, like long sword, you aren't getting any health regen. For me, the health regen ends up just being the #1 Don't Die augment, but in terms of DPS, I'd go with game economist and recommend Affinity+
So ive played the game to hr 78 and somehow missed augmenting completely?! Fml. So oblivious that im fairly certain that "augmentation" isn't an option in the workshop. I'll have to go check. Lol. Im stoked to upgrade armor. Thanks for this video!

It's been accepted for a while, but like you I cant see a definitive data mined source now. Its accepted as it explains why the concurrent attacks from spread ammo and all bow attacks only heal based on one hit, but must be small enough that chained need hits are not affected.
@@astartespete Ah that makes sense then. Thanks for replying! I appreciate it!
astartespete my understanding is it only counts 1 hit.
So you use attack boost and affinity increase on HBG "Gluton"?
Can you augment Tobi Kadachi gear? I've upgraded all my armor but it has no decoration slots (I also have the rarity7 bow).
You should get a better armor
Does the health augment work on rapid fire level 2 ammo, like on the "Support" LBG? Is it worth it, if it does?
Any advice for lance equipment?
Attack augment is always +5 raw so you might like it more than health, it's really personal preference though
nah bow only heals you for the damage dealt by ONE arrow it sucks. just augment for affinity first you want as close to 100% as you can get because of crit element
Hello I just want to know what is the best set and decorations for a tank build
How you get that layered armor cape? The cape reminds me of Guts from Berserk
what would you recommend for Longswords in general? (of course excluding situation-related like arch tempered vaal hazak)
Health Affinity is best, you will never see anyone running Attack on Longsword. Also if you only get one augment, go health.
I know most may know this, but how do I unlock the Augment Equipment option?
Suggestions for switch axe?
I just got King Gold Exploder before we lost ATKT, what's the hype around it? Can anyone share a set?
all you need to make it good is artillery, focus, and capacity boost. put in whatever else you like (earplugs, health boost, etc)
charged shell away
If I need warrior stream stones should I still be farming elders or would threat level 2 be more efficient? (I have hero's out the ass for lance but all the good ones a r7 -_-)
Benadryl Thundercrotch it’s better to farm it with elder dragon because it has a higher chance of both that Lvl 2 and 1. This is the reason why we farm lvl 2 for decorations.
I think warrior and hero streamstone is more common on Elder invest. Rank 2 invest is mostly for farming Deco
Tempered Elder Dragons. The ONLY time I've found myself doing tier 1 or 2 tempered hunts is for the stream stones / stream stone shards.
But end game is basically 80% tempered elder dragons, 20% events.
Always farm tempered investigations
The health regen restores 10% of the total single attack. Let’s say I use GS and I hit for 500, then I gain 50 health. So the less the attack, the less health you will gain.
Only for melee. The heath regen work kinda different when it come to bowgun. Different ammo type to be exact
How to get a regular spiritvein gem? Trying to augment Damascus armor
Great job explaining in such detail!
I dont have the augment equipment menu
I dont know if its just now that I realized this, but is that the Skyrim ambiance sound?
So ive played the game to hr 78 and somehow missed augmenting completely?! Fml. So oblivious that im fairly certain that "augmentation" isn't an option in the workshop. I'll have to go check. Lol. Im stoked to upgrade armor. Thanks for this video!
You must be hr 50 or above to be able to acces augmentations i believe
@@kristoferssturis759 yeah you're right. I also have to fight enough tempered elders to get one to drop a hero feystone. That first one you get unlocks the augmentation option at the smithy
I know I am a little late but maybe someone can still help out. I have a Diablos Tyrannis 2 build and obviously for the SAED the attack augment would be best since it is explosive. Does it make any sense to run liferegeneration since with the sword buff you constantly chip in small damage numbers?
Use hr if u want to recover huge help with saed
How do I unlock arch tempered elder dragons? Are they only available through events (i.e. requires online state)?
R. N. They’re only available during events unfortunately
@@JayPeaOrtiz Ah that sucks. Oh well, maybe they'll be released for offline capacity too once Iceborne comes. Thanks for the information.
How do you know what teir the monsters are in and when it comes to armor how do I know if it's worth augmenting ?
Skills are most important for armor, and non-apex and non-invading monsters are lvl 1, apex and invaders(pickle and bagel) are lvl 2, and elder dragons are lvl 3.
im sorry, but when/how you unlock the Augmentation???
i belive it is unlocked the moment u get a weapon streamstone aka shaft or hammer
You'll get a golden streamstone and when you go to Smithy he will take it from your inventory. After that you'll see augmentation below upgrade.
Anybody know the music that starts playing at 18:40 I was hunting xenojiiva and It started playing in the last faze had me hyped up
Imo slot upgrade is strictly better than attack boost. If you consider it a expert slot OR an att deco etc it ends up winning out.
Yes, but most players have crap jewels so
Ay lmao XD? xddd youre own fucking problem then :)
I did the quest to unlock augmentation but I don't have the option to
I understand how to use augmentin but how do you unlock
you need to get one hero or warrior stone
I’m literally HR 115 and can’t get any gleaming streamstones to drop I can get hero streamstones
How do you get heavy armor spheres? I didn't even think they were in the game.
Complete the daily bounties during the seasonal festivals/celebration events
What makes empress chest an advanced piece? Aside from being amazing pre iceborne
Those jokes I was like 🤷🏾♂️🙅🏾♂️ but honest your guide has Some good things thank you for that👍🏾
Why does the music in 5:49 sound so familar? Anyone know the name of it?
One year later and still a huge pain in the ass
I’m barely a level 68 and man I’ve come soooooo close you can taste the defeat but then every time with a group 2 people get whipped out with an attack it’s scary doing one solo but man I need to get that health regent augment ASAP
I am a gunlance main that uses lance as well and whenever I try to streamstone farm I get every streamstone except lance. I have so many ranged, sword, and axe stream stones i'm pretty much set for life but I currently have 0 lance stones and only have like 4 fully augmented lance weapons out of almost 300 hours of play. The damn things just refuse to drop for me regardless of what I do.
Did you try kicking the poogie? Being mean to it usually works for me.
Daniel Graham wtf how dare you 😂
Started playing earlier this month. Best armor set for a bow user?
Lunastra is a great place to start until you get a Mind's Eye decoration. At which point, you can adapt from there.
Jabahut755 thanks sir
@@ARod3 No problem. Getting things like critical element, spread shots/power shots, and normal shots skills are all awesome for bow too. You can get normal shots and spread are rare gems, but are also armor skills, along with crit element sometimes being on weapons.
Jabahut755 those are random drops from tempered monsters right ?
@@ARod3 Not necessarily, but they have a much better chance of dropping.
Here's me in MR 123 and HR 193 and I haven't augmented anything 😂
I run with the lance as my main I just started end game he kinda skipped the lance which would be the best lance to run and augments, I have all the Lances and I run with the tank type build can anyone help me out?
If you got a paralysis's weapon then augment it for health regen espacially with Kjàar's weapon
Level 51 and still have no idea how to get augmention armor Gerald's gear the best for me gives me most health everything else is garbage
Do investigations where you hunt tempered monsters. If you get a fay stone that is usef for Augmenting weapons its unlocked
This is the one that most newer people needed. The augments mechanics are damm near more important than the specific equipment choices themselves.
this is very detailed i love it
Uhh was it minecraft music in the background or is that a common tune?
