I've often used Klons/Klones as a post drive solo boost adding minimal drive but that single note fattening that circuit does so well. This might be an interesting alternative.

I've had the M-EQ on my board for the past couple of months - it's such an interesting and useful pedal! Combined with some amp breakup and another volume boost, I find it can cover a lot of low-mid gain situations.

I've been messing with mid-frequencies in my setup. There's so much good and ugly in the mids but when you find the sweet spot it sooo good! Great video 👍

Thanks for the demo. I have this pedal and love it also. I turn the drive way up so that I can turn the guitar volume down and have plenty of volume to go for solos. I agree that the level needs more headroom like some other pedals out there. The beauty of this pedal is how clear it is, cleans up well, and Curt’s through the mix well.

Great video!! While I don't have any ideas for future videos, I like what you do w/ the teaching component. This one was very helpful.

    Great demo.
I’m loving this pedal. Fantastic low/medium gain drive, and the adaptive circuit is brilliant.
I keep mine first in my signal chain. Stacks into other drive pedals nicely.
I have found, just like other Origin dirt pedals, it does not like being boosted. Gets overloaded and flubby.
    Regardless, amazing pedal.

My Boss GE-7 replaced any drive pedal. My main sound is a light crunch sound and with the GE-7 I can boost it into a rather gainy sound or deboost it into clean territory. That's only the level fader. The EQ section itself I use to shape the tone I want, I very rarely have to touch the EQ on the amp.

Maybe a silly question. Was looking for a eq for tone shaping and ended up on this. Do you see this more as a boost vs an eq? Looking at this, empress para eq, Wampler equator and the Irigin dcx boost. Primarily rock and blues player. Any input appreciated

This kinda sits in an in between. It’s not as tweakable as an EQ but is a drive/boost that uses an EQ circuit. For example, I wouldn’t really use this for straight up tone shaping but the EQ in this pedal is going to be great for pushing your guitar to the front of a mix.
