Nobody won and nobody will be listening to any of those diss tracks Kendrick made in a few months. Nothing about this beef was legendary and it won't affect Drake's standing in pop culture. Pusha T still has the best Drake diss. This was more about how much a lot of backpackers hate Drake more so than how good Kendrick is.
Brain dead take. You had a guy dismantling the psychology and cultural relevance of another dude using different mediums of art and expression. The amount of entendres in the song Euphoria has never been done in a rap beef. The title 6:16 alone is layered so many ways from bible verses to him preemptively going at the sixty-nine god bar by saying the 6 god likes 16 year olds. Rap disses are about disrespect from Tupac saying what he said about Biggie and Mobb Deep to Ice Cube saying Easy E got a1ds because Jerry Heller fked him figuratively via his record deal and literally in the song no Vaseline. Kendrick not only served up layers of disrespect but dissected a man lyrically. Since you won't get it, I'll try to sum it up. You know how black kids in America will tear each other down as a means of fun? Your momma jokes don't have to be true they just have to be witty, clever, and funny. That's where rap disses come from that same culture.
It shows savageness in one photo. Like the exact mindset needed to absolutely destroy a mf in a diss battle. Funny considering how chill Dot normally is though 😂
He wasn't serious about that, in no way shape or form is Adonis black. Being 25% does not qualify as being black, he was playing on that in the diss. Gotta be able to read between the lines and not just what's being fed to you. Mixed biracial blacks can only have black children by the other parent being black. If the other parent is also biracial then you child is also biracial not full stop
He's a kid, he has no choice. If this were the 90s back when people were real and not zombies, Kendrick would be toast. Dead dadda... Calling anyone king or queen is a ridiculous misnomer to begin with and it shows how uneducated someone is... which is not Kendrick who went to a chartered prep school. In the entirety of the world there's been 20 billion people roughly. Out of those 20b there has been maybe 3000 kings and queens each. That's a high number. So to say people are kings and queens doesn't make sense. Kings and queens are who cause war, slavery, poverty, destitute suffering, and worse. It's 100% about race to Kendrick and his people. Ok maybe 98.9%. That's why so many blindly ride with Kendrick like Tupac. They're both actors, literally.
@@chuckdeuces911 by that same dumb ass logic, calling people zombies is uneducated and doesn't make any sense, because they don't actually eat brains. It's like saying that metaphors and analogies are dumb because they're not literally true.
@@chuckdeuces911people ride (black people mostly) with Kendrick and pac because they understand and feel the lyrics they rap about which obviously you can’t so you call it blind but in the 90s Kendrick would be fine because he can do what most of these trash ass rappers can’t do today which is actually display real lyrical skills
Bcuz every song Dot put out is about black excellence but like Drake said he doesn't even go back to his hood to plant money trees then he's engaged to a half white woman who he cheats on to sleep with full white women
Hip Hop spent two years ganging up on a female rapper who was shot and Drake was one of the main ones doing it. I don't want hear no moral outcry now that he got his karma.
And he spent the last 3 albums going at his famous ex girls like Rihanna and Serena Williams now that they are both in comitted relationship with children. How corny can you get. Drake nice guy facade been dead. He never was who portray himself to be. He likes strippers, IG models and teenage and barely legal girls he can mold. He is not looking for his "Beyoncé" and settling down at all
I mean... I feel like we've always known that Kendrick COULD drop more, and obviously it would be dope if he did, but we also know that Kendrick isn't beholden to the desires of his fans. He's going to drop when he wants to, and we know it's going to be fire every time because Kendrick doesn't sacrifice quality for anything. He explained on the song "Worldwide Steppers" that one of the reasons we waited 5 years for Mr. Morale is that he had writer's block. Why would anyone want him to drop music when he had no inspiration to create it? That's how you get two 20-song albums a year that are 90% filler (e.g., the way BBL Drizzy has been doing it for the last few years). Quality takes time, and I wouldn't ask Kendrick to change the way that he makes music. I think it's clear by now that he knows what he's doing
precisely. People complaining about his frequency but will also be the same ones complaining about quality decreases too. I say let him drop whenever as long as it's fire
What kills me is how people (particularly in the Hip-Hop community) wants to hype up how rap battles should be as disrespectful as possible with anything on the table to use against the opponent, yet will criticize the tactics and what was said after the battle is over. Stop the nonsense.
You sound crazy 😂 of course you can use anything in a rap battle and you must expect the people feedback. You’re asking us not to feel and express our feedback.

He knew what he was doing. He is pushing the "your first number one I had to put it in your hand" narrative which doesn't work with Kendrick at all. Kendrick isn't Wizkid, Tems, Future, Travis Scott or J Cole. And let's not act as if Rihanna did not give Drake his first TWO number ones too

@@Eddybo22Every Drake diss record had fabrications which K Dot called him out on before and after the fact. Kendrick may have artistic exaggerations but little actual fabrication. If the whole duaghter part isn't true, that would be one verse out of 4 verses. It would mean 1 claim vs ~15 on the track. Also, truth isn't necessary in a beef or rap battle. For instance, i don't believe 2-Pac fuq'd the opps wife from Hit Em Up. There's other examples but i don't think i need to list them all.
The craziest thing about this beef is from the time it started to the time it ended Kendrick hasn’t been seen in public at all. Bro got the whole world crip walking to ped0 allegations and just taking care of his kids somewhere.
Kendrick fans always understood why he didn't drop so frequently. Just like Nas and other rappers with a real message or something meaningful to say takes time to drop albums
NOTHING about this battle was normal. From Kendrick calling out 2 of the biggest stars in rap,to Cole apologizing and to the way Dot effortlessly dealt with Drake. Two giants at the very peak of their powers have NEVER collided like this. When two elephants fight, the grass suffers. It's an age old notion. NOTHING ABOUT THIS BATTLE WAS GOING TO BE NORMAL. NOT THE START, NOT THE BATTLE ITSELF AND CERTAINLY NOT THE AFTERMATH. Kendrick won the greatest rap war in recent memory, and there's NOTHING anyone or anything can do to take that away from him and us his fans.
I mean he’s an independent artist not a major label artist so he can drop when he chooses but he drops like nipsey only when he has something of value to say or speak on. If drake wasn’t given that 450 million and was a independent artist u wouldn’t be seeing him drop like that either that label gotta get their money with interest so he has to do all that when u sold urself to them especially at that price u have no choice.
Keep in mind if Drake didn't name Whitney. The battle wouldn't have gotten to the point where they are throwing "me too allegations" at each other. Its Drake's fault for the battle turning ugly.
That’s not true Kendrick was going to go at Drake now he did no matter what the Whitney thing was just an excuse lol we all kno kdot hate that boy he was not gonna spare him

@@joelm.650i got it. But also, to be a classic, it has to reach critical mass. There is worthy stuff out there in the last decade that just hasn't reached enough people to be considered all time classic. It's the selling out of hip-hop, which has completely pulled the rug out from any of the real elite artists since around the time Cole and Kendrick came out. They were like the last greats to be able to slip through the cracks into the true mainstream and become legends.
Fuck the hip hop industry. When kenny said I think he should die, I feel that that goes double for the industry. So much talent wasted in the trash being put out thats on blast and the lives lost that could have given more.
kendrick is saying we gotta noah's ark the entire industry if everyone knew about diddy and was either part of it or turn their backs on his victims... what kinda shady ass shit is that...
Drake deserved what he had coming to him, poetic justice no pun intended. When your going out of your way to steal song concepts, hop onto artists waves fake support them then discard them, sleep with numerous industry people’s significant others and a host of other infractions this is what should be the result of those deeds. Let alone being devoid of any growth in the music, a growing distain towards women in his lyrics I mean attacking Rihanna and Serena for having healthy relationships is just strange. I could go on and on that’s how much I personally feel this was needed.
As someone who's always found drake corny and uninteresting and was baffled by his success, this shit was validating lol. I also didn't really get all that into kendrick until Mr Morale so him being the one dismantling Drake's whole facade wasn't like my hip hop hero coming to the rescue or anything
I absolutely despise this narrative that holding someone accountable and exposing their terrible actions that affect many people is somehow depicted as “black men tearing each other down over rap beef”
I think the issue is that if K Dot knew all these supposed "facts" and only held drake "accountable" when it was convenient for Kendrick is the problem. If you want to call someone out for "terrible actions" as you said, do it upon finding out and expose them. Waiting for that person to piss you off before you expose them is not a good look, especially if you think that person is harming people. Its also the same for Drake if he actually has proof that K Dot is an domestic abuser. If you have info that could save victims livelihood, SPEAK UP IMMEDIATELY. That's why I personally think its all just battle rap jabs which, if true, is just black men publicly tearing each other down. That's my opinion but I'm just a white guy who loves hip hop and has followed and enjoyed both artists since 2011.
I agree like how are we as people can say we’re tearing each other down when clearly drake needs to be accountable for the fuck shit he’s done for years and everyone has glossed over it’s something that’s pissed me off about this situation is how some people and some rappers and OG’s are treating this situation like no drake needs to be held accountable for his actions with the young girls to befriending actual pdf dudes and keeping them around to him using our black culture whenever he’s thinking of his own personal gain cuz we shouldn’t be having another r Kelly situation again or even in this Diddy shit you would think we would have smartened up from all this stuff but of course that’s not the case so I totally agree that Kendrick holding drake accountable is the best thing I’ve seen in hip hop in a long time cuz Kendrick drew that line in the sand that needed to be drawn
That's a fair point, I agree with you. In this case with two famous rappers, it would be out of pocket to start throwing unprompted accusations around without hard proof. And like you said this beef was the perfect vehicle to air accusations from both sides without legal matters getting involved.
@@seth131 Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way. Speaking from experience... I've watched someone attempt to expose a popular .pdf internet celebrity only to be met with hate and vitriol. The abused party opened up to their friends, and one friend was understandably enraged. They went to great lengths to try to get the abuser taken down, but the result was simply that the abused party denied the allegations. At that time they weren't ready to go through having all of that go public, and they were also pressured by the abuser. Even the police did nothing. Now scale that up to a celebrity at Drake's size. The problem is that a 3rd party really can't expose someone for this type of thing without a ton proof in their hands. Knowing something just isn't enough, even if you are right or have seen proof. Kendrick seems to be aware of this. The 11 year old girl (if real) has a life, friends, family, etc. and Kendrick exposing her to the world to win a rap beef would be terrible on his part. It's just as tricky for .pdf allegations. Abusers like R. Kelly and Diddy were exposed by victims(of several crimes) long before anything stuck because of all of the money and power they can throw around. I'm sure celebrities know how easy it is for celebrities to bury stories and restore their public image.
I definitely agree that both Kendrick and drake said some things that heavy as hell about each other and we don’t have proof at all on both sides but it’s just a lot of weird stuff going on with drake after the beef ended this is why we haven’t seen him out and about and especially after this diddy stuff come out it’s starting to seem more plausible that drake is or has done some creep shit where so far nothing hasn’t come out about Kendrick yet or that’s if ever does or if its true but I do agree that this stuff about drake could’ve been brought up sooner especially if it is true but not just solely Kendrick but anyone in the industry can’t just say this things without getting blackballed of course which is not an excuse cuz the truth should be exposed regardless but sometimes you gotta play your cards right in this situation and maybe Kendrick wanted to be in the more a position of power where it’s like he doesn’t have to play the politics the same way he did when he was on TDE now that it just him he can really draw that line but I’m not caping for Kendrick decision but I’m trying to apply some logic to all of this
K Dot won, the cost? Wat THE INDUSTRY? In which he virtually stayed away from? Whatever they try to throw at the Dot he will persevere and be preserved
Exactly, people are saying he only said that now that he benefits him, it never came to their mind that he take time to confirms shit. Also we know that Kendrick planned this before and baited Drake into the beef, and basically talked about the whole weird industry in Meet the Grahams, he's not using women against Drake, he is talking about the industry being what it is. Nope they prefer to not speak about it. The proof will take time, but at least t's better than the Diddy situation where nobody said shit for years
the cost is: no more beef with rules. just say whatever, doesn't matter. It's so stupid. Also kendrick approached the beef like a woman, was emotional like a woman, even sounded like a passive aggressive scorned woman. It was pathetic. I wanted to see MEN, BALLS, TESTOSTERONE, just like the old days. This was just sad and sets an extremely bad precedent for future diss battles/beef.
Bro all this sounds like cost for Drake. Not Kendrick. This whole video comes off like “Ohhh no Drake is gonna have to actually rise to an occasion, this is going to have repercussions for the whole world oh what will hip hop dooooo?!”
“You and I both know we got some shxt to address” …Kendrick said it, Metro said it, neither elaborated. We really still don’t even know what this beef is about. That’s the wild part. I feel like Ebro and others injected their own feelings. But, we really don’t know what has gone down behind the scenes.. What we DO know is… Kendrick kept it light on Euphoria, even though he was rapping his ass off, and warned him not to keep on with the family angle. Drake didn’t listen, and he got himself bodied.

Rich coming from Vince Staples. He talks a good game but he was reaping from the same status quo. So where was he when it got really tough? Making Netflix specials. He just doesn't come off as someone who really cares, just someone who has access to a platform to say what he wants.
I personally think that the collateral damage that was done in this beef is way more of a reflection of the hip-hop culture itself. People have the rights to make their critique because there is some truth to it. However with that being said, people keep forgetting that Kendrick warned Drake to keep it friendly and not mention his family and yet he still mentioned his family anyways. Also all of the people like Quest Love and Ice Cube who had harsh critiques about the beef also should assess their roles in hip-hop too. Ice cube still hasn’t settled his own beef with Westside connections and Questlove was involved as well with Takeover with Jay-Z when he went at Nas & Mobb Deep. I don’t like how the old heads are wagging their fingers at Drake & Kendrick when some of them also still have beef’s going on themselves and or have played a role in why rap beef is still prevalent. Vince Staples critique has way more validity however that battle is way deeper than rap as far as dealing with corporations and execs and wanting better for black art. All I’m saying is people need to be more accountable of their own actions within the culture instead of trying shift blame.
Vince Stapples played into respectabillity politics when he said that "we should respect ourselves if we want others (cough cough non blacs/whites) to respect us
The thing i hate about people in general is their inability to look at thing unbiased. Some people would pick a side regardless of how terrible their music couldve been. For example and not to pick on a Drake fans, but hes been putting out lifeless albums for a while to get that one over on Jackson and people will still claim every album is a banger.
As a Kendrick fan, ive always known his ability to make music. Im very happy i dont have a new Kendrick album every year. I get to appreciate each piece of work.

I’m disappointed Kendrick used that kind of tribalism to win. I thought he was better than that, personally 😕
I think yall, including Drake, just didn't believe Kendrick when he KEPT saying MULTIPLE times "fuck the industry" and that he would basically go on a su!c!de mission just to end Drake

to be honest, in response to Quest loves comments, DRAKE made it not about skill. Kendrick literally said "this aint personal its a friendly fade, you should keep it that way". BBL DRAKE wants to resort to bringing in family etc. K Dot is all about competition like he said in a few bars in the control verse. Then Dot said in Grahams that he fcked up soon as he mentioned his familys names. Its always about skill to Kendrick, friendly compo. just like MJ and Barkley being cool off the court but trying to take eachothers heads off on the court. Drake made the entire beef take an ugly turn. in the like that verse, there were no out of pocket bars just compo asserting himself as the best MC
So Kendrick was wanting to run a “friendly fade” with someone he thought was a “pdf file”? Then that should tell you everything you need to know. He played on the public feelings this whole beef. Think

The beef saved hiphop in a way where people can actually listen to some sort of substance now because before in 2023 and arguably previous years we had people like Polo G and Lil Baby (No disrespect) barely talk about anything, along with some potentially true allegations being shed to light. but it also set it back because of the people in the crossfire getting potentially truamatized and disappointed at the amount of disrespect and de-humanizing realizations.
This is what I don’t get, so Kendrick’s big bomb about Drake having a daughter was cap but we’re supposed to believe everything else he says while no one digs into him beating his wife while the security guard that was there made a video about it. Simply because ppl already chose Kendrick, there is no objectivity here. Ppl were tired of Drake before Kendrick and were already looking for reasons to get him outta here. The Boy will be fine.
Nobody won and nobody will be listening to any of those diss tracks Kendrick made in a few months. Nothing about this beef was legendary and it won't affect Drake's standing in pop culture. Bad take
Brain dead take.

Lyrics are back Kendrick saved hip hop
Lyrics are back when the only two lyricists doing well are Kendrick and Cole 😂
