Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope you enjoy this lens as much as I have. When we can travel again, I want to get back to Southwark Cathedral again in London - such an amazing space.
Well Michael, I have to admit, this long term review video helped me decide if I want to buy the 10-24 (the new WR version ofc). Thank you very much for your time and dedication for making this video! P.S. Awesome shots!
Hi Cosmin! I'm so glad this review was helpful to you in deciding to get the new 10-24. I hope you enjoy the lens as much as I have. Many thanks for sharing your comments and for your kind words.
Another great review Michael, thank you. I bought the newest version of the lens a month ago. Not much use yet, but I think it will become part of my standard kit. As always your review has been balanced and helpful. Some years since I’ve been to Seattle, love it there and will be back post-Covid. Was vaccinated last week, the second to come.
Hi Greg! Many thanks for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated. That's so wonderful about getting vaccinated. Washington state will be opening eligibility to all over 16 years old on April 15. Getting in line then! Take care...
I look forward to returning to favourite places in the US in the future, and it’s bliss to see COVID vaccination proceeding so well after such a terrible time in US health history. Hoping you and yours are vaccinated soon. Side effects for me were weariness and some muscle aches, all passed quickly.
Great review Michael, I agree with you it is a great lens and one of my most used. I do a lot of night photography around the CBD of my hometown Brisbane and it is ideal for this. I have just updated to version two as I am trying to get a kit of wr lenses. The bonus for me was the numbered f stop ring as this continually frustrated me on the old version. I like to look down at my settings rather than in the evf or screen. The new numbered f stop ring is clear and clicky, so no real chance of moving the f stop unintentionally. I think the new version is a good upgrade for these reasons as well as others you touched on, my guess is you will upgrade as well !! Thanks for sharing some of your great images.
Hi! Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to share this comment. I am so glad you found the video helpful and enjoyed the photos!
Hi Tony! I'm glad you enjoyed the review. I have NOT tried the 8-16mm. The main reason is price for me. Also, some of the initial reviews I saw (have not checked lately, though) were not terribly impressed. I might have to rent one some day to see for myself :)
Thank you very much for your review. A question: Don't you think this lens works best with older Fuji bodies? I have noticed that mine is shaper with 16 MB bodies ... and with newer bodies (over 24 MB) it is less sharp and has more distortion .
Hi Boris! Thanks so much for sharing your comment. In my experience with the 10-24 on the X-T1, X-T2 and X-T3 I have not noticed any difference in sharpness and have been very pleased with the image quality. Cheers!
Going to Scotland soon. Can I get interior shots in low light with it and my XPro3, or should I use my XH-1 if the stabilization between the XH-1 and lens is additive? I wish my version was WR.
Hi Bill! That's wonderful you're going to Scotland. I wish you safe travels and amazing photos. I've used my 10-24 in London cathedrals and other building with X-T2 (back in 2018) and had great success. So, either camera should work well with the 10-24. I'd love to see your photos when you return! Cheers!
Hi, Thanks for this review. The lens seems bulgy, which makes me think it won't accept filters. Is there some sort of adapter ring to put some distance between the lens and an eventual filter?
Hi! This lens does not have a front bulge that requires an adapter for screw on filters. I use it with neutral density and circular polarizer filters quite frequently! Hope that helps!
Have you used filters with this lens? Can you use circular polarizers or variable nds? My major concern about purchasing this lens is that if I can’t use all my filters I won’t buy it.
Hi! Yes, I have used filters with this lens. It's a 72mm filter thread. I've used circular polarizers and variable ND's. Be careful with the variable ND's (on any lens/system) as the ones without a hard stop at either end will tend to give you an "X" in the middle of your screen where the polarizers in the ND filter overlap. Hope that helps!
I sold my version a while ago because I didn't know how to use it. Now I want to revisit wide angle so I bought a used one again (may even be the one I sold).
Hi! That's sometimes how it goes with lenses - you don't think you'll need or use it, then discover it's the potential missing piece of the puzzle. I hope you enjoy using the 10-24mm again!
@@MSladekPhoto I'm learning. The wide angle lenses are challenging. I'm surprised at just how much you can do with these. One must change HOW you see WHAT you see. ZEN revisited.
just found our channel, and i just ordered the 10-24mm thanks to your video ..
Hi! That’s so awesome. I hope you have a great time with this lens. Please share a link to some photos, if you get a chance. Cheers!
This lens is my newest addition to the lineup...love it so far. Great review and pictures (That cathedral shot...wow!)

Wonderful samples. Just picked up a copy of this lens for a trip with my kids through the southwest, can't wait to shoot it.
Hi Alex! That's so awesome :) I hope you have a great time with this lens in the wide open places of the southwest. Cheers!
Beautiful photos and colors! I loved the one in the wood during sunset. Stunning work, Michael!
Many thanks! So glad you liked the videos and photos. Very nice to hear that today! Have a good one :)
A brilliant review (as always!) with gorgeous images Micheal!! Absolutely loved the fairground and b&w architectural shots - truly exquisite photography!

Another great video, thx! This lens makes great pictures, especially on short end (long is just good for pixel peepers :)
Thanks! I agree - I really like this lens at 10mm for that unique super wide perspective. Have fun out there!

Hi,
Thanks for this review. The lens seems bulgy, which makes me think it won't accept filters. Is there some sort of adapter ring to put some distance between the lens and an eventual filter?
Hi! No adapter needed for filters. I use screw on type filters directly with this lens. Happy holidays!
