In Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, there are several mysteries that have been solved, but one of the remaining hotly debated topics is who is the one who told the Crying Child “I will put you back together.” While many people believe it’s someone speaking through the Fredbear plush, the fact that the text color is a different shade of yellow implies that it may not actually be connected to the Fredbear plush itself.
While it’s widely accepted that William is likely the one speaking through the Fredbear plush based on the private room in Sister Location, I think that someone else is promising to put the Crying Child back together, someone who we have seen has the power to do just that.
But hey, that’s just a theory. A GAME THEORY-

I honestly prefer to think that Crying Child didn't immediately possess Fredbear because he wasn't close enough to the suit. I prefer to think that he became Shadow Freddy and wandered around as a spirit before coming back to the pizzeria at which point he was close enough to be pulled into Fredbear. This experience allowed him to be able to exit the golden freddy body as shadow freddy, a skill he would somehow teach Cassidy to use while they shared the suit. I think this because of the Shadow Freddy in ths purple guy death minigame walking around and specifically trying to get the other animatronics to find Afton. Also, Cassidy's soul appears from nowhere with the other 4, so where else could she have come from? Golden Freddy wasn't torn apart.

I think William is talking through the plush in the rest of the game, but I don't think it's him in this particular instance. To me it seems more likely he's the one manipulating CC into being scared of the restaurant so he doesn't end up spilling whatever he saw. If the text color were the same, I'd think it was William, but as it stands, I think "put back together" is just referring to the whole spirit-animatronic thing in both instances.

I *really* like this idea, because when Matpat originally covered this ending, he was EXTREMELY unsure of who it would have been, especially because he knew very well that it being William wouldn't make sense because of the color.
And we never have gotten a confirmed color coordination for Charlie/The Puppet, but even so, it makes sense for them to be speaking through the plush because it already seems to communicate to the C.C.. So even if Charlie/The Puppet's speech was associated with green (like we saw in Pizzeria Simulator), it would still make sense for the speech to be the color that it is, because they speak through the plush.

    • @IDsFantasy
      @IDsFantasy  Год назад +25

I've heard that theory, but to me it makes more sense for William to be the speaker with the darker yellow text given that seems to come from the plush itself and there's the walkie talk by the plush in Sister Location. Plus there isn't much evidence that CC got turned into a robot kid as of FNAF 4, and I think if he was in Security Breach, it's not the same robot from way back when with how similar Gregory's silhouette is to one of the missing people on the newspaper

@@IDsFantasy Don’t know if you’ll see this, but I just thought of this while reading your comment.
What if William is both voices for the golden Freddy/ Fredbear plush? William would likely change his voice when speaking through the plush so his son wouldn’t know his dad was talking to him. This allows for William to have a different text when he talks about putting the crying child back together, since he would likely be there talking to his son and not using the plush.
A little parallel to this would be the story “The Real Jake” from Fazbear Frights #6. I believe Jakes dad changed his voice when taking through plush, allowing his son to differentiate the plush voice from his dad’s voice. Just a little thought.

And Golden Freddy was literally just a remake of Fredbear, but they renamed it so people wouldn't think of the Bite Of 83. Golden Freddy was made from the scraps of Fredbear, and Cassidy possesed Golden Freddy as well.

It's also worth noting that we're never given a timeframe for how long the crying child is left comatosed in the hospital, nor how long a soul can linger after death before being put into a vessel. (It's kinda symbolic of Mike making up for the past by helping his brother.)
Plus, we know it has to be a male who puts the pieces back together, as the dialogue text "He put the pieces back together." in the notepad files for the FNaF World Update 2 teaser, alongside the open FNaF World Box in the game files, implies that this is the case.

Ooooo I'm guessing ur theory springtime is that the FNAF 4 kids maybe the FNAF 3 happiest day party table kids. I dunno about pigtail girl specifically setting up happiest day, as the only connection is a shared dialogue color, which multiple characters can have. However we for sure know the toys did help out though, and they may be the save them kids, who maybe the FNAF 4 kids like suspicious similarities such as balloon kid resembling bb, and a girl is playing with toy animatronics. MatPat theorized about this as well and came to the conclusion that it might be William speaking through the Fredbear Plush. There was a story in the Fazbear Frights books where a dad who had to go to military while his son was in the hospital, bought a plush in which he can speak through it with the child without revealing the identity of the father. As the „mustard man“ from the midnight motorist minigame is theorized to be William again and as the tone of his text looks very similar to the one we see in FNAF 4, it could be William making that promise to put him back together.

Game theory’s got me convinced it’s William. Something about the shade of yellow matching the shade used to represent his text in the past. But more importantly I think is that it makes thematic sense, because it’s essentially the same thing he tried with Elizabeth.

One representation I saw in a fan Comics that talk a lot of creative Liberties was that the crying child was essentially dependent on his plushies or he didn't trust the spirits and so whenever Charlie and the other Souls attempted to communicate with him to help him move on he would just freak out and so Charlie instead uses the plushies as a creative medium to allow them to communicate with the crying child without scaring them and having him trust them so that way she can do her job of helping him move on without leaving him completely terrified because as far as he's aware he thinks his stuffed animals are talking to him and considering he is a little kid he likely played with those same plushies and imagined them talking with him in his games so he dosent question it

this is like 4 months late, but I like the idea that Charlie talked to c.c in the end.
A creator named Gost talks about all the characters who could be and points out some evidence that it could be Charlie that hasn't been discussed yet.
    Ghost video: ruclips.net/video/l_oYPs0va4A/видео.html
    1) we see the Fredbear plush sit on a grandfather clock and the only other character to do with a grandfather clock is the puppet(Charlie) as it's the song that keeps it at bay.
    2) In the nightmarionnet teaser we get a single Freddy plush that needs to be brightened up to see the nightmarionnet and when doing so the plushie becomes yellow
they then point out the connections the two have. the idea that Charlie being the Freadbear plush and the puppet would match up with c.c looking like the puppet but possessing Freadbear. There is also the fact we know they died around the same time era of 1982-1983. And from what I remember of the original trilogy robot Charlie had a big fear of Foxy as it cuts her arm (this could be wrong its been a while since I read the books) connecting her more with c.c.
Robot Charlie actually has some connection to the Afton brothers especially Micheal as both are trying to uncover their father's sins and then have animatronics attempt to kill them. Charlie is tormented by the twisted one which represents the nightmares that William used on at least one of his sons at some point and then was brought to an Underground area like in SL. She even wears a purple shirt like Micheal and is "killed" in a very similar way with a stomach/chest injury that involves Elizabeth and then both cheat death with Micheal being a rotting purple corpse and Chraile seemly to move on to the 4th robot body that still wears purple.

according to me, it's either that, or william himself speaking, but not from the fredbear plush. the crying child is representing him as the plush and the other plushs fading simply shows that william starts murdering.

I also figured something out, which you probably have already, but remember in FNAF 4 when C.C keeps getting jump scared by Michael in the Foxy mask? (I think it was Michael in the mask) Well, if you notice as the nights go on, Foxy becomes more persistent, and I think it's because of the trauma he had with Foxy. I think we play as Michael in FNAF 4 if I'm correct, so we reflect on how persistent we were in scaring C.C with Foxy. I could be wrong but it makes sense.

now I know this is a stretch, but what if.... just WHAT IF... the person who is speaking to crying child through the plush is Michael? I know it doesn't make much sense for him to be saying sorry and then just to speak to him through the plush, but it really could be! multiple times we've heard, "you're broken" from some sort of animatronic, plush or person. I know it's widely accepted that the person is William speaking through the plush but I have EVIDENCE.
    1. in Security Breach, while Gregory was in Glamrock Freddy, Freddy says, "I feel you are broken." there's a theory that Glamrock Freddy is Michael Afton.
    2. in the fourth closet, though he doesn't say "your broken," a (dead, tho it probs doesn't matter) child named MICHAEL says, "I have to put them back together."(p. 175 of the graphic novel) you can also find the fredbear plush say, "I will put you back together"
    3. (this isn't really part of my theory, just a little mini theory) in the fourth closet, Michael possesses golden Freddy. this could be a stand in for the crying child because we still don't know his name(it's been 8 years, Scott >:( ) or it could also be literally just a name. though I don't think so, being that the name Michael is usually only reserved for one person... Michael Afton.
so yeah, those are my theories! hope they make sense! :)

This is a very interesting theory and it had a lot of amazing points! I've heard another theory that would make sense too. According to Game Theory, Goldon Freddy was a little girl named Cassidy. When playing FNAF UCN, dying will take you to a death screen and sometimes there is a girl's face in the background. That face is Cassidy's face. Also, some animatronics say something about "the one you should not have killed," the one being Cassidy. Cassidy was killed by Afton and she possessed the Goldon Freddy suit. UCN is Afton's purgatory where he experiences the nightmares that he has caused. This purgatory is controlled by Cassidy. She is furious that Afton killed her and she wants him to pay for it. However by doing this, she is preventing her soul from being set free. When you catch the fish at the right moment when dealing with Old Man Consequences, it'll take you to a cutscene where you are Goldon Freddy and you talk to Old Man Consequences. He says, "Come and sit with me a while. Leave the demon to his demons. Rest your own soul. There is nothing else." He is telling Cassidy to move on; let Afton suffer on his own and set yourself free. I guess that it just depends on how you look at it tho, lol. I honestly really enjoyed what you had to say and it brought some very compelling ideas to the table :)

Thank you! I do think Cassidy is in Golden Freddy, but since both The Silver Eyes and Fazbear Frights have her death in 1985, I don't think she would be at play as of the time this happens, but eventually she and CC would both be in Golden Freddy

I always thought that was implying there was another one in the fredbear plush and it meant that it was Afton talking to his son. If you notice in the mini games between nights, the single spot where you see Afton putting a costume on someone, the bear disregards the scene, never mentions it, and doesn’t say a word during it.

Springtrap probably didn't have much to do with freeing the spirits, but i think you may be talking about shadow bonnie. Since William was alive in FNAF 2, and shadow Bonnie was present as well, it follows that they are separate entities. As well Mike, the most likely candidate for FNAF 3 guard, did most of setting up happiest day.

I'd like to think of it as following what happened to the family after the events in the flashbacks in the book trilogy. Like, CC is Sammy in the aftermath of the kidnapping of Charlie, which is what explains the crying and the fear of the animatronics. It would also explain why there's a broken Mangle on the floor, Charlie loved to play with the animatronics and if she didn't like them, Henry would take them apart for parts. Foxy kid would still be Michael Afton, either before Elizabeth gets killed just playing pranks on a mourning kid cuz hes a big bully, or the aftermath of Elizabeth's death, with him bullying to try and cope with a dead family member?

      @@IDsFantasy *Warning I have written a lot*
      *Relevant*
      1. I've actually been trying to place as much evidence as possible into a single cohesive story. I don't know why I'm doing this to myself, but I understood the color change as William normally using a speaker in a nanny cam/stuffed toy, and then the final scene being him in person, next to the crying child's bed. The wording works for both, if somewhat more for the Puppet.
      *Irelevant*
      2. Also, in the hopes of this getting featured in a video or short, I'd like to point something out that I don't think anyone else had mentioned before. The older brother's skin darkens slightly between his first and last scenes, and his eyes start glowing. Just like Michael from Sister Location. Also, two out of three of his friends have glowing eyes.
I interpreted this as William's motive. Just like Henry with Charlie, something happened and William put the older brother back together. The timeline I'm writing includes testing on others before using his kid, keeping his wife "silent" when she finds out (Ballora), and wishing for his family to be immortal.
I interpreted him as loving his family, but going to far. Okay, so there's a little, nay, a lot of creative interpretation, but a man who was driven to murder out of loss, then attempted to rectify his sins (fnaf 3 cutscenes), leading to his death, haunted by his guilty murders, regretting them but would do it a thousand times over to bring his children back to him. That sounds better to me than "unknown motive" and it explains his fear of the ghosts.
      Sorry for rambling.
Edit: I'm gonna keep rambling. I'm listing somewhere close to 6 to 8 theories that line up with what you said and fit like puzzle pieces.
      3. As for the robot children, the books have Charlie, but the games have Michael, Gregory, and possibly Vanessa/Vanny, if you interpret the "reunion" ending that way. I thought that William knew how to make a realistic masculine robot, with all the normal human features that we don't normally think robots can do, but he was stumped on those features for a girl, explaining why Baby wasn't replaced by the time S.L happened, or the older brother didn die related to the animatronics at all, so he could be reborn in a body meant for him.
3.5 As writing this, I realized that Fazgoo could have been a test of that "biological features" sort of thing. Yes, my timeline can interpret the non-novel books finally!
      4. I also thought the crying child was Cassidy, despite the feminine name clashing with the child's pronoun used by the brother being "he," but that's really the only person who could be the soul in G. Freddy.
4.5 Again, I just realized, fnaf 4, when the crying child saw his dad placing a suit on what was presumed to be another employee, and when he was locked in the closet, there was a brown tuft of what looked like hair. Could that be Cassidy?
4.5.5 *WAIT!* Her death would mean he still has a motive. He is trying to see if he can transport a soul from one body to another! He is trying to free Elizabeth, give her a proper body, the child version of Vanessa!
      5. Vanessa being a robot would explain why William hacked her as Glitchtrap as well. I thought that he could slightly reprogram the older brother, who I think is Michael, to be mean to the crying child. He could have done the same thing to her. But that leaves the final tape in the V.R. game. Unless someone else helped her with the tapes, and she made that last one to keep suspicion off of her while she figured out how to get rid of her old partner. Glitchtrap could also leave a sort of copy to stay with the tapes for whoever finds them, but the copy is literally just him waving.
      6. Speaking of getting rid of her partner, while I am yet to read the A.R. game's emails, having her use Glitchtrap to release a bunch of animatronics to hunt down and kill all who were involved with the V.R. game would explain why the A.R. game exists at all, and it would kill that partner I mentioned before.
6.5 just for fun, let's solve Mangle's gender. Mangle is a dog. Other than Ennard, no robot has more than one soul in it. I think. Ennard was made to carry multiple souls out of S.L. at the same time, so one murder per robot.
Mangle can split in two in the V.R. game. Ennard, with more than one soul, also does this. They removed Baby, so to split, a robot would need 2+ souls.
This is not solid evidence, as Mangle does it in the V.R. Title only, a game within a game where someone could've simply said "that looks like a fun challenge," but it is the only real evidence. Two bodies needs two souls.
Two souls, one death. The dog was pregnant with puppies, explaining how it could spit in two. It also explains why in fnaf 2, Mangle could be in your room and not kill you. The puppies don't want revenge, so they don't want to kill. The mother has to take control to attack.
      Again, I'm sorry for rambling.

I literally thought of this while watching the short, so I have no idea if this is an established theory, but I haven't heard it anywhere
In sister location, we see that the Fredbear plush seems to be a baby monitor, possibly connected to the walkie talkie, allowing William Afton to speak through the plush. The difference in hue could represent the distortion (or lack there of) of William's voice.
He speaks through the plush to manipulate the crying child into fearing the pizzeria, in order to keep him out of the way. What we see at the end could be William speaking directly to the crying child, who sees the plush. Because that's who he associates the voice with, rather than his father.
This could be either because William puts on a voice when talking through the plush, and in an attempt to comfort his dying son, puts on the same voice. Or because William is so distant, the crying child hears his voice through the plush more often than in real life, and therefore has a closer bond to the plush.

And after he was bitten he was put into a coma and was seeing what you are talking about in the video, he gets chosen to be put in the animatronic with Cassidy. • @Weep1ngWillow

My guess would be that William Afton, Crying Child's father, is the one speaking through the animatronic throughout the game, based on the plush with the walkie talkie that we see in the Sister Location office.
I think the reason why it's a different shade of yellow, isn't because it's another character entirely, but it actually remains yellow because it's the same character, speaking to him out loud, instead of through the plush.
So, bascially, I'm proposing that William Afton spoke throughout the entire game, originally though the Fredbear plush, and in the end directly to Crying Child while in the hospital with him.

    • @IDsFantasy
      @IDsFantasy  Год назад +1

Fair, but to me it seems strange that William would call himself his son's friend

    • @Weep1ngWillow
      @Weep1ngWillow Год назад +1

@@IDsFantasy True, but I wouldn't put it past William.
Also, the phrase "put back together" appears again in Sister Location, and is spoken by Micheal, his son. "I put her back together." Seemingly a phrase that either runs in the Afton family, or, perhaps, Micheal was told this phrase by his father, because William had it on his mind for many years after C.C's death.
Then there's the Dreadbear DLC, with the gameplay of giving life to an animatronic, which, idk why, but I think it might be a clue for how William tried to put his son back together.
Plus, there's a chance William called himself a friend to his son because he didn't want his son knowing it was him speaking.

The text of "I will put you back together" is usually given to Henry or William.
This text ALSO is seen in FNaF_World after Henry, or "The Creator"(?) kills himself in Update 2/Before Update 2, and unleashes Circus Baby/Elizabeth out of FNaF_World and into the wider lore//FNaF:SL.
So most likely, "The Creator" was William, or at least Henry telling a symbolic story of William's creating of Baby and how Michael released all the Funtime bots from the basement Rental Location in the fifth game.

    • @IDsFantasy
      @IDsFantasy  Год назад +1

Where does Henry say it? And technically Mike also says it in SL. I think the phrase is just used to connect what's being done tbh
There isn't any yellow text that appears when Baby is announced in FNAF World, so I'm not sure what you're talking about? And the yellow text that does say the line in World doesn't really fit to be William.
Not to mention William makes much more sense as the dark yellow in FNAF 4 than the light yellow, so I'd be surprised if it was him. I could maybe see Henry, but not William

I have another theory involving Charlotte and Cassidy. My theory is that I don't think the two of them actually got along with each other. I've always felt like Charlie was more of a peaceful soul caring more about freeing the children and finding her father rather then getting revenge on William while Cassidy was more focused on revenge and perhaps didn't care who she had to hurt to get it. Also I think since Cassidy is probably much older then Charlie she probably didn't like the idea of some three year old bossing her around.

One theory I've seen about the meaning of this line involves dream theory.
Theoretically, fnaf 1-4 would be nightmares of cc in a coma after being bitten by fredbear, but this was retconned with fnaf sister location.
There is a theory that originally cc was supposed to have a deceased sister who would possess Fredbear's plush, the line "I will put you back together" would be the soul of cc dead sister promising to put his soul to rest.
but the line was retconned with sister location which established that the plush was William Afton, so, currently, "i will put you back together" is William Afton himself promising to revive the crying child.
I believe that the change in text color is an error and not something on purpose, character encyclopedia establishes that the plush says "you're broken, we are still your friends, i will put you back together"

William wanted to keep the crying child away from the animatronics at fredbears (most likely because of Elizabeth's death) so what does he do? He uses illusion disks to make crying child think that hes seeing nightmarish animatronics. And this theory is supported by williams room in sister location that has cameras of the crying childs room, most likely him watching over his son to make sure the illusion disks are working as planned to "protect his son", but whats on the desk? A fredbear plush. I specificly think that crying child has a fredbear plush because williams talking through it. He wants to scare his son to protect him but hes also his father so he comforts him as the nights go by in fnaf 4. The qoute "i will put you back together" is probably William talking to his son through the plush.
